LOVE IT! I need to callibrate it though, because I used it in my 5k yesterday and it told me I was done and I still had a ways to go. Other than that, it is excellent for motivation!

I got one for Valentine's day from my hubby as a "kick off" to my C25k program. I used it with an iPod touch that I was borrowing, but have since had to return. :( I just have my regular iPod now, but haven't set it up on there yet.

Taren...when using it with the iPod touch, you need to open the Nike+ and start that workout first, then press the "home" (square) button to go back to your screen and touch on your c2k5 program. start your music through the nike+ app first. if you start your c25k program 2nd, you should be good to go.

ugh, so i went and bought the sensor tonight and used it along with my c25k program on my ipod. I must have kept hitting the screen accidentally cause every once in awhile it would go to the nike + app and thus stop th c25k app. I was getting so annoyed with it. the 31 mins turned into 34. so i guess i'll try it again, just maybe not with c25k.

On a happier note: I finished W1D3 tonight and even pushed up the intensity a little. I think i might do each week twice- idk, what do you guys think?

It's the best motivation I have ever purchased. I wrote a blog about it. Only one time I had to replace the sensor because it just stopped working. I took it back to the IPOD store and they replaced it with no problem. I read that the battery (yes battery?) life will die after a while but then I had only had it for three months I just think it was defected but it's great. I love seeing the calories and miles I've completed that is what motivates me to do more. Hope you like it. You can also log in your progress on Nikeplus.com. It keeps track of your progress and you can also join challenges, teams and win trophys when you complete the challenges. It also has a training coach that will help you along. There is also a spark nike team on the site. Check it out.

Hi Taren, If you type Nike plus pouch into a search engine, there should be several different types that shoe up. You lace the pouch into your laces and then put the sensor in there. I have two different pouches because I also use my Nike+ when I am hiking and just want to count my activity.

The sensor was $18.99 at Dick's. I got a little pouch thing for it that attached to my laces.

You will need a sensor, which is about $20. I found mine at Target - or sporting goods stores carry them. As for shoes - until I bought my Nike shoes, I just tucked the sensor under the laces of my shoes and then ran a piece of tape across the top so it wouldn't fall out. It worked just fine.

Here's a link to an article that shows lots of options for non-Nike+ shoes:

Do you have to have nike+ ready shoes or just the sensor. How does it work. I got an ipod that has nike+ on it, but didn't come with a sensor. Is the sensor all i need or do i need to buy shoes too in order to use it?

I have one and love it too! Especially the challenges, which keep me motivated to log the miles. There's a Nike + sparkteam too, that has monthly challenges as well.

BASEBALLMOM, you can get it from the Nike website, Amazon.com, or Apple. I'm sure there's tons of sites to get it from online.

Hi Judy! It's about $19 if you have an ipod touch or phone or $29 if you have an ipod nano.

I have one, I use it and I love it!!!

It tells me exactly how far I go, and how long I'm out - it also links to Facebook (if you wish) and reports your progress there. That has been surprisingly helpful for me - many people have come out of the woodwork to congratulate me on my progress.

Most of all, it is a fun toy for me to play with, which helps me stay motivated. Silly maybe, but whatever works!

Has anyone here tried the Nike+ Ipod sensor?

I'd love to be able to know how far I've run and this sounds good but I'd love to here feedback from anyone who's actually tried it.
