I usually use Old Fashioned Oatmeal, but I think the instant oats would work. Depending on your preference.

Bea: Do you use Old Fashioned Oats or Quick Oats in your recipe? It looks very good. I want to try it.

You are right, December is difficult. We just changed up our Water Aerobics Class to add a little more cardio. Hopefully that will help. Working in an office makes it quite hard because lunches and desserts appear in December.

I am going to guard against empty calories and try to keep exercising every day. Water Aerobics with extra water walking three days a week and walking in the house or using the elliptical machine on the other days

Ann

December is the hardest month of the year to lose weight with all the parties, festivities, and holidays, not to mention the cooler weather that prevents working out outside. What are your plans to cope with all this and lose or maintain weight? Feel to share any healthy recipe that you will make.

For me, I will have surgery tomorrow, so exercise will be out of the question for a few weeks. But I will carefully watch what I eat.

I'll make some of these Banana Oatmeal Cookies

2 large Bananas
1 cup Oatmeal
1/2 cup Walnuts
1/8 Teaspoon salt (to taste)

Optional ingredients: Raisons, chocolate chips, dried fruit, etc. (not included in the Nutrition Facts)

Mash bananas, and mix in other ingredients. Drop on cookie sheet, lined with parchment paper. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
