Friday is another wet rainy day, so I can post of a dryer sunnier day from this week.
Noni and I went for a short walk, the scenery is gorgeous but not a bird was seen. I did hear a frog..

I have been out and about... I have so many scenery photos that are gorgeous, how to choose the few to post. Pushing through leg soreness, itís almost like camp after working several days 10 to 12 hour days.. ( one of the reasons why I did leave camp) My knee is not the issue.. it is the legs, both legs and when hobbling down a incline itís actually both knees, the left one ( surgery one) causing the more discomfort, but both are letting me know Iím not in my twenties.
Bird life and animal life abounds in and around Squamish BC Canada.. where I call home right now.
I hope I donít bother you or cause you to roll your eyes.. here Marty goes again...
I will try to choose .. letís journey together...
(( I must mention this was in the afternoon on Monday.. I had to go pick up my wife ( Noni) from work after my early morning birdwalk. ))

Roosevelt Elk
Looking very pregnant...

This morning very early, sitting in my chair enjoying the quiet time.. Ring ring.. our phone blasts off and my wife is called in to work .. not sure if she was happy about me waking her up and handing the phone to her. Well I decided to drive her to work and keep the car so that I can go for a bird walk a little further from Squamish.
Definitely no place will be as beautiful as this area if I should decide to relocate..
why.. well .. look at my walk this morning.. very early..

Common Merganser

Barrow Goldeneye

here is a Harbour Seal . It was camera shy!

It was a pleasant walk as far as the environment.. but my legs are very much a concern.. they hurt and Iím becoming anxious about the idea that I should be returning to work in a couple of weeks ..

I was sitting comfortably in my chair yesterday, the sun was shining and I decided not to waste the day and head out to birdwatch. Well as soon as I got out the sunshine hid .. and it returned shortly after I returned home. Just my lot in life this day..
However it still was a glorious day and Iím so happy to had gone out. I was able to photograph two rare birds for me.. not lifers as I have seen them before but certainly a rarity.. and even more difficult to photograph the one.
Well letís go on a photo journey of my little hobble .. my knee is mending....

Today being Sunday, itís very overcast, I think Iíll stay in this day.. read, watch TV and have a nap.
Iím restless.. I think a change is or should happen.. I have this uneasy back of my mind that we should move ... leave Squamish.. to where I donít know... what would Noni and I Do? I donít know..
all I do know is there is a growing uneasiness.. an unhappiness ....

I think I posted before.. last year was the beginning of major changes..
Not returning to Camp Summit
Death of my beloved Dalhouise
Knee surgery
Death of my Mom.
All things that were tying me down to Squamish have been removed...

Well I have it tentatively all planned and booked.. I have notified work of needing time off in the first week of June. airfares purchased , car rental, hotel and funeral and reception room reserved on my credit card. I may still need to do some tweets to get all the times to line up. My Credit card will take a beating... the stresses of life , or is this stresses of death?
Edna Marquette is going home to rest on June 3

This was a stressful couple of days trying to arrange all this. As I started to reserve a hotel, my first choices were way to expensive and were already booked full. After talking to the people at the cemetery they told me to call a funeral home to book a reception room.. 3000 dollars for the hour they quoted me.. this drove my stress level to the roof.. so I recalled my hotel that I had managed to reserved a room at and reserve a meeting room also for 300 dollars to hold the ceremony of life at. Food for the reception, at the moment a friend in Kingston is willing to take care of that so I donít need to worry or deal with.
Last time I traveled to Toronto I almost didnít have a car rental.. so I reserve one already now.
Finally I booked my airline tickets.. finding one that fit the times I wanted wasnít as easy as I thought , I used a friend who owns a travel agency..
I guess a question ought to be .. what comes first when trying to plan all this.. well for better or worse I think my plan will all come together... it will be a stressful visit to Kingston...

A couple of days have gone by, I choose not to use the cane to assist me walk. My knee has new aches and tinges of discomfort
Today is wet, wet, wet. However I went out looking for birds and I sure was not disappointed. All todayís photos were taken from the car window, only thing wet on me was my arm and pant leg next to the door from having my window open.

If I had a choice I probably would have stayed inside all day. However Noni my wife had to go to work this afternoon. She has almost zero experience driving in snow or freezing rain. There is none of that in Indonesia. So I decided to drive her to and from work. Well Iím out so after I dropped her off at work I went a little further to a bird spotting area I knew about. White knuckles as I drove down a road that was not plowed and a hill that had me worried about if I could get back up. This is a new car to us, no worries .. front wheel drive and new snow tires on the vehicle. It drove through the snow with not a slip and that hill that I was worried about.. well I was on top before I even realized it was there.

Woke up this morning to find another blast of winter has blown in.
My eyes are straining as I look out the window as I write this.. is it raining or is it a very fine snow falling? This is not common for Squamish BC Canada. I had knee surgery on October 24 and Iím still off work due to complications.. but it is also interfering with walks, hiking and definitely no snowshoeing will happen. If I was to take any pleasure in this winter storm it would of been getting out for a snowshoe. Dalhouise didnít like it when I took him with me.. I remember the last time I tried to bring him snowshoeing he ran back and waited by the car refusing to follow me .. after that I never took him again.

This morning is so beautiful with the sun shining. Not walking except at the grocery store for an hour and spending too much money for food. The drive to and from the grocery store was awesome.

Hello MK and other Geocaching SP Friends -

Another great set of pics MK. Keep 'em coming. It's beautiful weather, yet unusual for Michigan. But I'm enjoying it. Today is in the 40's and we are expecting lots of rain. YAY. I'll take rain over snow any day in January. Tomorrow its suppose to be in the 50's. Perhaps I'll get some geocaching in. I have some TB's I have to find homes for.

Have a great weekend.

Hello MK and other Geocaching friends.
Haven't been out as much as I'd like too lately. Michigan weather sucks this time of the year. I wake up and its dark. I come home from work and it's dark. blah...

Have a Great Week.

Rain, snow flurries and very dark and gloomy skies makes for a decision to stay in.. the icing on the decision was this road we attempted to drive was one pothole to another pothole and I didnít want to damage our car so I turned around.

This afternoon I was going to have a nap, as I prepared to close the curtains because the sun was beaming brightly through the bedroom window, I came to my senses and decided to go for a walk instead.

Nice pics MK. I walked to 4 different grocery stores today to complete my grocery shopping. I should have taken my dogs for a walk, but I got lazy. So, after viewing your pics, I'm back motivated and will work out a little on my treadmill. Thanks for the nudge!

Good Morning MK - Here's wishing you a healthy, healing and much brighter 2020. Totally understand illness with elderly parents. We are praying my Mamma lives to have this much needed heart surgery. She is 91. Her appt is on the 20th. So, yes. I understand where you are. But, life will surely improve. Make healthy choices, despite it all. Best Wishes.

Well here it is again the beginnings of a new year.
2019, was not so good
Circumstances led me not to return to Camp Summit,
I had to put my Dalhouise down after 16 years of being together
My mother is in palliative care just waiting to die as I write this
I had the long waited knee surgery, Iím still off work because of that.
And so here we are .. Christmas Eve 2019 ..
