Thanks Charlie! I am on the home stretch of losing the weight I want to and I am super motivated to get on with it. I figure somewhere between 4 - 8 lbs is where I want to land, and then keep up with the Callanetics and walking to continue to firm up the jiggly bits. emoticon

Well, I dropped down to 141, then bounced back to 142, probably because my cycle is due this week and I ate some rather salty things toward the end of last week.

Edited: This morning my weight has dropped to 141 again, very pleased.

Lise, that is the key to your success Looking FORWARD To Losing More!

I think there must be something to this eating more because, these are the calories I have eaten this past week and my range last week was 980 to 1,328.

NUTRIENTS: GOAL 3/30 --3/31--4/1--4/2--4
/3--4/4
Calories: 1,370 - 1,720 1,141 1,100 1,168 1,308 1,703 1,648

My weight has gone from 164.2 lbs on 4/3rd down to 162.8 lbs 4/5 today. I know that's only a couple of days but 1,703 calories is more than I have ever been able to eat, and I didn't eat all things that were good for me!

I'm Looking Forward To Our Weigh-Ins, how about y'all.?

Hugs,
Charlie

Hi Charlie,

I've been on medication since 1999. Despite the fact that I did take the medication, the levels did not stabilize until I was introduced to Armour. The weight still piled on but at least I was no longer exhausted most of the time, etc. and I was able to start exercising. I have lost 30+ lbs since 2009 but look forward to losing more.

Thanks for asking! Hugs.

Lise

Lise,

Do you take meds. for your Hypothyroid? The good thing is your willing and able to do all the exercises you do. I'm proud of you cause I know how hard that is and the level of mind set you have to have to keep it up.

Hugs,
Charlie

SHARI, welcome to the 25 Pounds in 25 Weeks personal challenge. You have a good exercise plan.

As far as your appetite, from my experience it changes. I have the same problem but, since I started weight training on the 19th of Mar. I am hungrier and I am gaining instead of losing. I hope it is because I'm gaining muscle.

Every thing I read lately say, you have to feed you body the calories it needs or it thinks you have cut your throat and goes into starvation mode which slows down your metabolism. So that's what I'm trying to do and it's a fight with myself everyday. But, the weight gain scares me! On Mar. 19th I weighted 160.6 and today I weigh 164.2. I am giving this until Apr. 20th and if I don't start losing I'm going back to listening to my body and eating around 800 to a 1000 calories again and drop the weight lifting. I was doing the same plan you have now.

Stick to working on Self-Discipline and listen to your girls.... We Can All Do This!!!

Hugs,
Charlie

Being Hypothyroid brings down my metabolism tenfold. I need to exercise more than the average person. That is why I exercise a lot. Despite that, I still haven't lost any weight since the beginning of the year but I do love to eat. That is why I am incorporating Callanetics again in my exercise regimen because these exercises work deep into the muscles. I've been pretty good at sustaining the workouts to date. emoticon

I'm in. I am wanting to lose 8 - 15 more pounds, my girls are to tell me if I start looking "scrawny". The weight is coming off very slowly, but my size continues to decrease. Also, I just took a job for a neighbor that includes lots of physical work, that will impact my exercise time and ability. So:

I will continue to do Callanetics 2 to 3 times per week, keep up my current food intake (which I am finding difficult, some days I have very little appetite), and walking, I try to walk between 3 and 5 miles when the weather permits.

Sunday: Callanetics 60 minutes
Monday: Walk
Tuesday: Callanetics 60 minutes (or 15 minutes maintenance)
Wednesday: Walk
Thursday: Callanetics 60 minutes
Friday: Walk
Saturday: Rest

The bottom line is that I am working on Self-Discipline

I think that is plenty Lise. If you been doing 2 hours a day plus you should be losing.

Are you considering your Deflect or some people call it difference? I figure mine every night and it runs an average of 400. I put it in my nutrition notes. I think I just wasn't doing enough exercise and didn't eat enough.

Hugs,
Charlie

My intention is to stay on the lower end of my calorie intake. As for my exercising, if I exercise more, I will not be able to do anything else around the house as I'm already putting in at the minimum 2 hours a day, and it can go up to 4.
