I resisted the PointsPlus plan the first few times because I couldn't get over the higher points in foods compared to the previous plan, but when I gave it a chance and looked at it as a whole new plan (stopped comparing the two) I started adjusting and now I love it. The zero point fruit is my savior because I know mentally that at the end of my points for the day, I don't have to go to bed hungry just because I don't have anymore dailies. (Of course, we also have the weeklies which I use too along with the activity points) How many of the weekly allowance varies every week. Good luck, give it a chance. Maybe you can write down your common foods and their points in a little notebook ahead of time, that way you don't have to calculate that often.

Sadie, WW points math CAN be so confusing 1+1 can equal 1, 2 or 3! If you eat one slice of bread, go with 1 point; if you eat two slices of bread, use 3 points. If you eat one slice in the morning and one slice at lunch time, they are 1 point each.

Did your sister also give you the materials? If so, read, read, read, and read again. With Points Plus, many food items went up, some stayed the same and, as you noted, most fruits and vegetables are 0; however, in most cases, the number of daily points went up, as did the weeklies.

I try to loosely plan my day out ahead of time; it makes it much easier in the long run. But even when I plan, life happens and I sometimes have to go on the fly. You'll get the hang of it.

Thank you Ductillite. That is confusing. Should I have full day planned out from start instead of pointing as I go which I am doing at the minute? I might have bread twice daily. Think I will be going back to old plan at this rate. Only good thing about this one so far is that fruit is free of points.

Hi Sadie,
It can be confusing. If the serving size is one slice, then enter the numbers for that slice. The bread you are using is one point. If you eat two slices, double the fat, carbs, fiber, and protein and enter those numbers. The points value is now 3. 3 is the correct number for 2 slices. It has to do with the way points are calculated. If a food has a high fiber content, the first serving is usually low in points but the second serving is usually more than double. Always go by what the calculator says to be safe. Good luck!

Hi all,

I am just trying out the new weight watchers plan. My sister joined about 2 months ago but fell pregnant and was advised to quit the plan so she gave me the calculator. What do you guys go by when pointing? If I enter 1 slice of bread it values it as 1 point but if I put in 2 slices it values it as 3 points???? Obviously I'm going to prefer if you say 1 point per slice!!! Also, I bought biscuits in tesco which say on the pack that they are 1 pro point value each but with the 3 in a pack my calculator values it as 4. Please help. I want to do this right so need to know from the start which to go by. Thanks and well done in all your successes emoticon
