I hope everyone has dug out from the snow if it hit you and made it a good week. Time to hunker down with some football, my yarn, and a cup of tea!

Happy Sunday WW team!

Went for a 2 mile walk this morning. That's the longest I have walked at one time for awhile so was a little tired by the time I finished. Going to a birthday party tonight so will have to watch what I eat. It's at a pizza place so will need to be careful about portions.

Good morning. I have an ordinary day ahead, a few errands, some housework, lots of phone calls. We can't fire our thieving employee for another 10 days, the lawyer and a translator won't be available until then, and there is a ton of preparation. You can't call someone a thief without a pile of documentation. We're up to about 200 pages of it by now.

Have a Great Friday!

Shopping this morning for a few things. This afternoon we have a dinner show in the park. They are always fun. I think I will try to fit in a walk before we go.

Oh my , I have loved getting to know you ladies! emoticon
OMG @NELLJONES that is one fancy stove hood! Good thing you are not replacing the stove too. Hope the install goes well.
So that announcement is still at the top of the page.....there is room for multiple leaders so the load is lighter with more than one being able to set up threads, clean up pages, and send goodies and encouragement etc. This team used to have 4 leaders that all became inactive. If there is interest, here is what I am talking about.......

I circled the announcement in red so you can see. You click on the little link I circled. This is a lofty job. Life happens and then time can get away from you. That is why my APP team has 3 people in this position. I don’t see it as stepping on toes, we are helping each other achieve our goals and that is the bigger picture, trying to navigate this weight loss journey.....

Baked skinless chicken and roasting veg in the oven a zero to 1 or 2 point dinner! Yum have a wonderful night team and love to all! emoticon

I ordered the new hood, it's the same model as the old one, but now it's $2500. I'll have to pay someone to install it, it's not a DIY job. It's a good thing I talked to someone before ordering it, the blowers are ordered separately. Who knew?

Good morning. Introductions have been fun, thank you Kim!

I hope to get a few errands run today, yesterday ended up being dedicated to getting ready to terminate the employee caught stealing. And it's just the beginning of investigating. The police want us to do the investigating for them.

I hope to get out to the appliance store to buy a need range hood. The one I have is 21 years old and not working so well anymore. My stove is also 21 years old and needs to have the auto igniters replaced, but it's still going great. I wish we were still allowed to have pilot lights like commercial ranges!

Let's have a great day!

Hello,
My name is Blanche. I got the Zucchiniqueen name because I was always bringing new recipes for zucchini to my WW group.
I am 85 years old , a widow of 10 years, and live in Central New York (Farm country, NOT city) I was married 54 years before my husband died.
I started WW (for the ???time) in 2003, and finally shed 80 lbs. , which I have kept off pretty successfully. It gets harder as I get older and my body no longer accepts some of the foods that have kept me going for 15 years.
I try to get in 10,000 steps a day on my Fitbit. Because it is snow country and I often cannot walk outside in the winter, most of that is "house walking".
I have 7 great children, 5 girls and 2 boys.
I have cared for the two little girls next door for 10 years. They do not need to come up to my house any more, but they do, most every day. They provide me a great deal of amusement.
This site is where I come every morning to start my day. The people on here have become "neighbors". We are all in the same boat, trying to keep our weight at an acceptable level.
I go to meetings as I can, in neighboring towns. I cannot drive safely at night any more, so rely on my daughter, who is also a WW member, to take me. Daytime groups are pretty scarce around here. There is one that is about 50 miles away, and once in a while I go there when my daughter is on vacation.

Hey y’all! I’m loving the recipes and tips. emoticon I discovered Skinny Plate, a website which has weekly meal plans, lots of recipes and tips, all coordinated with the SP of WW. Does anyone utilize that site?

I also like Organic Girl salads and now dressings. I pick them up in the produce aisle at my local Publix. I’m sure they’re sold nationwide. Will have to check the points on the dressing...

Hello, my name is Jane. I chose Gabrielle for my user name just because I like the name. I have been a WW member since 2008. I was close to goal and then gained back about 10-12 pounds. I am still struggling to get to goal but will not give up. I live in central Wisconsin and have been married for 50 years. We have 3 grown children and 4 grandchildren. We spend our winters in Arizona which makes it much easier to get in walking but not always easier to eat right in spite of the fact of the available fresh fruits and vegetables.

Hey ladies I am loving the introductions too!

Here’s some more tidbits about me. I am a wife for 30 years in April, a Mom to two grown-working-out of the house and home owning boys ages 24 and 26. They live 10 minutes away. It took 5 tries with WW to make it work. The first try I was in 2nd grade! I have lived a life of overweight. It took all this time to figure it out. I am 57 going on 40 lol!

Happy day everyone! I saw this recipe this AM on Hungry Girl for 3 point bagels! Looks yummy emoticon
Ingredients
3-Ingredient Dough
1 1/2 cups whole-wheat flour
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 cups fat-free plain Greek yogurt
1/6th of recipe (1 bagel): 155 calories, 0.5g total fat (0g sat fat), 398mg sodium, 25g carbs, 3.5g fiber, 2.5g sugars, 10g protein
FreestyleTM SmartPoints® value 3*
Prep: 15 minutes
Cook: 15 minutes
Seasonings & Toppings
1/4 tsp. salt
4 tsp. everything bagel seasoning blend (like the kind by Trader Joe’s) 2 tbsp. (about 1 large) egg white or fat-free liquid egg substitute
Directions
Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Spray a baking sheet with nonstick spray.
In a large bowl, combine flour with baking powder. Season with salt and 2 tsp. everything bagel seasoning, and stir until uniform.
Add yogurt, and thoroughly mix to a dough-like texture.
Evenly form dough into 6 rings and place on the baking sheet, evenly spaced.
Brush with egg, and sprinkle with remaining 2 tsp. everything bagel seasoning.
Bake until golden brown and cooked through, about 15 minutes. MAKES 6 SERVINGS

Good morning ladies. My name is Michelle and I live in central Alabama. I have been married for 23 years and I have a beautiful daughter 32, and a son 29, I have two grands, Landon 11 who lives right next door, and Mason 6 who live in Vermont which is my home state. I began my WW journey in 1989 just before getting pregnant with my son, I restarted in 2013 on my own with the momentum plan and lost about all my weight. Then I slid, way down, and gained it back plus a few more. Rejoined on line as I live in a area with no WW close, I have been yoyoing now for a while and have yet to get very far. But somewhere in the back of my mind is the feeling of finally getting it. Losing and keeping it off, so I won't give up. I restarted fresh January this year and i'm doing my darndest to get it off. I have been with spark since 2013 because a friend let me know about the site. I'm still here and she of course is not. lol. That is how it goes. My walking partner is my daughter and hubby but we have all been slacking. Ok I have. My daughter walks 3 days a week with her beau.

I'm glad to be here with my ladies. We help, and give pats and reality checks when needed. I need that a lot. lol.

Good morning. I'm up a little early today. I need to catch up on errands once the iciness of yesterday's snow melt lessens.

I am Nell, I married the Jones. I lost 33 pounds on WW back in 1970, and have kept it off since. Menopause was a struggle, but I got through that with no lasting damage. WW had the old Plan back in 1970, then switched to exchanges (and the myriad variations thereof) a few years later, and I still do that plan, I never got into points. My husband and I are both long retired, so I have the blessing of time to do all my own cooking, and I can shop whenever I want to. We have 4 sons, and 6 grandchildren ranging from an 18 year old at Columbia down to a 5 year old. They all live with a couple of hours from me, so life is good. My husband has had several strokes, we can no longer travel the country on our motorcycles, which was the big activity of retirement for years.

Hello ladies! My name is Kim and I’m a mom to a wonderful young adult son. We live in brrreautiful Florida. I’m pretty active walking and bicycling most days.

I joined WW on and off last year. I did lose 5 pounds over the summer and have actually been slowly losing a few more pounds over the holidays. I recently stopped eating meat and have added more veggies, grains, and fruit to my diet.

I’m working on decluttering and de stressing, along with finding a new job. I’m glad to be here. I’ve been in SP since about 2012. Taken it more seriously over the past few years and coupled with Weight Watchers, joining some ongoing challenges on here (Biggest Loser and 5% Fit) have pushed me a little harder. Lots of great people on here and support and experience.

JaneT. I love the idea are re-introducing ourselves, so here goes ladies.

My name is Joan West-McAdams aka Kentuckywoman. Why Kentuckywomam??? Born and raised in Kentucky.
I have been on Sparks for many years, I've done low carb, no carb, and WW's is what I've done the best on. My first time around with WW's I lost 156 pounds, yep an entire big person. It took me four years to do it, but I did it. Then I lost my best friend, my biggest cheerleader, my husband. Yeah, life goes on and yes, I gained the weight back but not all of it. Fast forward to a year ago this past Oct. I had re-joined WW's and I was committed, and had plans of being back at goal within a year. Well, that didn't happen, and as you all know I've had a few bumps in the road, and yes, I had some weigh gain, and I am having to miss my meetings, but lookout when I can get back to my own home, my own food prep, and my meetings. It's life and we all have obstacles we have to overcome.

My name is Joan, and I'm a daily work in process. emoticon

Wow ladies! I live in Wisconsin and there is no snow on the ground. I guess I should knock on wood or something when I say that lol. Boot camp tonight and I will get a nap before hand so I can stay up to watch The Resident, and The Good Doctor! Yay, new shows!

So I belong to another team called the APP team. It stands for Accountability and Prayer Partners. We stay accountable to each other and we include each other in our prayers too! This group spun off of a group that fell apart. There are 7 members, 4 who are very active , and 3 -myself included- who are active Administrators. So basically whoever gets to it first sets up the monthly threads and challenges and sends motivational goodies and keeps the right topics sticky so they show up on the top. So we are all in charge hah! Honestly, it boils down to who has the time. One was in nursing school, one just got married etc, we always check in. Being an Administrator is a wonderful way to keep the page fresh and cleaned up and to check on those who have not posted in awhile by having a voice representing the group. Really it is all GOOD!

Maybe we should all introduce ourselves again!

I am JaneTris. I have been a WW member for over 12 years, and free Lifetime for 11. I lost 50 pounds. I live in WI. I follow the most current program Smart Points. I attend meetings occasionally and am sure to weigh in once a month to stay FREE. I just recently started tracking on my phone to get the Win points, but have been tracking on paper for over 11 years. My name is pronounced Jane Tries. But it means Tri or triathlon. I do them a long with other races to keep motivated. I am slower than molasses, but the fitness helps me zip my jeans lol!

Ok enough of me, pipe in ladies please!? I am in the dark myself about some of you!

I'm dealing with a cold today so not feeling great. My husband had it last week and only lasted a couple of days for him so I'm hoping I get over mine as fast.
Hope those that are dealing with snow are staying safe.

Good morning. We ended up with about 9-10 inches of snow. We had it all cleared out when a second wave of snow gave us another two inches, I'll have to move that this morning before the sun comes out and packs it all down to ice. It's the mountain of ice at the bottom of the driveway from the snowplows that really gets me. At least the street was plowed, that doesn't always happen. Ron may have a hard time walking, but he can use that snowblower perfectly and safely, and he likes feeling like he can still contribute something. The weather folks are saying we'll probably get to do it all again next weekend with another storm.

I was really sore yesterday (I'm getting old!) but a Celebrex and a rest and I'm fine.

Blanche, a team administrator doesn't make rules, she is just able to use Spark's rules. She can send out goodies to all team members at once without using her own goodie points, she can set up challenges that count toward Sparkpoints, stuff like that. You can have more than one administrator for a team, too.

Good morning ladies. Yesterday morning we went to breakfast with my daughter and grandson. I made great choices and came away from there feeling awesome. I had a planned good lunch and no snacking. For me that is a real plus. Dinner we decided not to cook as hubby was not feeling great. I decided to have a pot pie as it was quick and I love those things. Ok who knew it was 15fp for that. But I counted it, ate it, and moved on. Nothing else, and that is what the points extra are for. So zero guilt.

Bring on today i'm ready.

Good morning All.
I hear you Blanche on the sunshine. We had some sun last Friday, but the weekend was rain, cold and overcast. I have noticed the days are getting just a bit longer.

Ruthann did roasted butternut squash for dinner yesterday. I highly recommend it. Here's to a start of a great week.

I shoveled some snow from the last snowstorm, and am paying for it. Everybody has told me I'm too old to be shoveling snow, and I guess I'm going to have to believe them now.

We had sunshine yesterday. We haven't had much of that this winter, so it was a joy to have a full day of it.

I guess I don't do well with change, and am having difficulty adjusting to the fact that somebody wants to oversee our thread. Guess it is to the advantage of Spark to have a better handle on what we are doing. Sort of like the government. I just like the way things are, and don't wish to have any more "rules" on us. But we are doing this through the Spark format, and I can see where they think they need more control of their threads. So I'll "go with the flow". Just as long as we can keep our Joan and her words of encouragement and advice.

Thanks for the encouragement all of you ladies give. I really don't look at the other post all that much so I guess I would be ok either way with an administrator.

Sunday morning check in gang! I went to a sweet 16 bday party last night. I had the cake.....yikes it was so delicious going down, but my stomach was rumbling from the nastiness of it all last night. I am still able to stay on track for the week, I need to watch it closely..

@KENTUCKYWOMAN , you have natural leadership skills and the ability to reveal to truth if we want to hear it or not lol. You have talked all of us off the food ledge at one point or another. You have had such fantastic success and we all just naturally gravitated to your voice as our leader. We know you have all our backs and an open mind to whatever it takes to keep this WW plan rolling in our lives.

@LYNXMYNX I vote for a page clean up of really old posts and topics as well as delinquent members. Please keep the current threads going as we all work off of these daily. Thanks for asking us all and for offering to clean up!

It's not about what you can't do. It's all about what you can do. Never ever give up!

I have no problem with whatever the group wants to do. If the team wants an administrator I say go for it. I'm just a member here and have never tried to take on any official title. Anyone and everyone are free to add ideas, recipes whatever it takes to get us through the day.

I was looking around the team not so long ago and didn't realize how old the post and teams activities were. Since I mainly come to this thread and it comes in my email daily I just never paid attention. Maybe some updating wouldn't be a bad idea.

I never thought I had to worry about getting unsweet. I mean I didn't have a sweet tooth and sugar wasn't a thing for me. But since waking up from this dream I have noticed I eat a lot of junk in the way of sugary snacks, munching on chips just because. But now with getting on track one day at a time and sometimes one minute at a time, I have found out I have been lying to myself. So yesterday as I was shopping for food after work, I decided I was all in. Meaning lying to myself wasn't doing it for me. So now I have healthy choices, I stayed on track even with hubby's wisdom of pizza for dinner, I made a salad to have with my two pieces, and I had a orange for evening snack, and guess what? I still rolled over a point. Yup I stuck to my plan and saw it through. Now that isn't to say it was easy. The old snack monster did come to play, but I realized I wasn't hungry just wanted to munch. So a piece of gum it was. And by george I won.

Today is breakfast out with my daughter. I have a plan and if i'm honest breakfast is my easy to stick to points meal.

Spark likes to have administrators for the teams. Only an administrator can label a thread as "sticky", or create new categories for threads. I don't think they care about inactive teams, but when a team is active they like having someone to contact about official spark stuff.

Nell, be careful out there shoveling snow. We have rain this morning so I'm not going to complain.

Blanche, I'm with you I had no idea we needed an administrator and I guess it's because our weekly thread has always been open to anyone and everyone. This person has also shown up on the thread I began several years ago called "Getting Unsweet," that thread has kept going g even with just a very few people posting there. I do know the two leaders we have on our page have not been active in a very long time.

JaneT, thank you for your comment. We may not always talk eating just right, but we do alright. It's how we get to know one another.

Gale, you are so right , " giving up is not an option. "

I don't know what's happening here. Why do we need an administrator?I'm confused.

I'm up early, it looks like about 6" of snow so far, and we still have 12 hours of snow to go. I know what my exercise will be today! We won't make it to church, that's for sure.

Thank goodness for new beginnings @KENTUCKYWOMAN ! Thanks for starting our weekly thread and for the wise words of wisdom as always! I had a great gym day today and a decent weigh in at WW....still at free lifetime goal, but I still would love to be 3 pounds less. I will have to wrap my head around that!

@LYNXMYNX thank you for offering to head up the group! Honestly our Joan @KENTUCKYWOMAN has been doing a fabulous job with our weekly threads and blogging about getting Unsweet! We throw in a challenge every now and then in the challenge thread. It seems we have shared recipes, and WW ideas in our weekly thread for the most part. As the signed on leader/ administrator, I guess it would be nice to clean up our various ancient and untouched threads to freshen up our page.....as only the Administrator can do.....I am fully committed to this WW program and this team, but became an active voice fairly recently. Many of these devoted ladies have been active for a very long time, with Joan @KENTUCKYWOMAN as our Leader, but just not the official Administrator. It appears there are many inactive members. I guess we need to ask ourselves if we want to keep the doors open to them??? Or delete the inactive members to clean up our team page. Maybe all the active ladies should take a vote on this one??? I might add that deleted members can always rejoin this open team if they want to be active again.....

@LYNXMYNX I am sure you have no plans to step on toes. We are all in this same fitness/nutrition boat together and have many of the same goals. Thank you for your Spark to this team!

"Every day is a new beginning. Take a deep breath, smile and start again."

Here we go beginning a new week. If your still struggling trying to get back on track, just remember.....there is always hope!!!!!!!
Blanche mentioned one day this past week about if we've indulged in too much sugar that it is really hard to get back to eating the right way. Again, there is hope. It is a " One Day at A Time, " Sometimes it's one minute at a time. The thing we need to focus on is , "We are worth the effort and hard work it takes.". There are no magic programs, we have to be consistent and honest with ourselves. So if your still struggling, take in a meeting, call a friend, post how your feeling. Reach out to someone and do not reach for more food.

losing weight is hard, being fat is hard. We just have to choose which hard we want. New week, New days ahead of us, let's be good to ourselves by filling out bodies with good nutrition. We are so worth it. emoticon
