I'm coming in late, but I'm in. Today instead of going to the gym, I walked the trail at my local park and did an extra circuit. Tomorrow I won't have time to go to the gym (ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL????), so I will take my bike out on a nearby paved bike path.

Although I really like my current cardio workout, we have some yardwork to start for the winter months (and no, I'm not wishing summer away). So, a cardio workout that I haven't done in quite a while is piling wood. I should mention that also includes walking up & down one set of stairs many many many MANY times.

I suppose I shouldn't complain... after all, pizza, my biggest weakness now, has been planned for one supper this evening. The cardio (aka wood piling) should help to off-balance the 'zza.

Friends are like bras -- close to the heart and there for support.

I'm all up for this but I expect I'll be paying for some of it. I'm going shopping and eating breakfast at Cracker Barrel then lunch at probably Olive Garden. I'll let you know how I did.

Oh, Man this should be good. I just finished my vision board and on it is a picture of some fires, hamburge, crossiant, cake, and cookie. Above this i have "is it Really Worth it? I have a big NO pointing to this junk and an arrow pointing form YES to "my ideal size 130 lbs."


Start weight: 180 (May 2009)
Start weight: 160 ( Dec. 2009)
Start weight: 196 (Sept. 2012)
Milestone I: 169 lbs.
Milestone II: 150 lbs.
Milestone III: 140 lbs.
Milestone IV: 135 lbs.
Goal weight: 135 - 140 lbs.

I may not be there yet, but I'm closer than I was yesterday.

Hey Guys!!

This past weekend's challenge worked great so maybe we can try it again with a lil teist? This weekend challenge will be to work on thoughtful eating AND you will have to 'pay' for overindulging. So, if you ask your self 'do I wnat this?' and still have it, you'll have to add 10 mins to your workout.

When we relax during the weekend we tend to eat mindlessly and hence we over eat. So this weekend we will take the time to ask our selves "do I really want to eat/drink this? or is this just emotional/bored eating??". This is a very powerful tool if you pick up the habit.

The challenge will run from Friday 4th through Sunday 6th.

This is a great challenge! I would estimate nearly 85% of my weekend eating is mindless. I think I am going to dig up a special ring or bracelet to wear to remind me to stop and think - I figure I will see/feel it as I reach for food.

I spend most of the weekend forgetting that I am watching what I eat so it will be interesting to see how remembering affects the scale.

I just posted on another forum, but will come here for challenges every weekend. I'm a weekend binger and need HELP!!! I am a triathlete/fitness instructor/business owner. I know what to eat and when to eat, but I just start eating on Sunday nights and really can't stop!!!!! I need a challenge and buddies to keep me honest!!!!!

My plan will be to replace the ice cream I usually have for desert with some fruit and possibly yogurt.
I can be pretty faithful to eating fruits and veggies during the day (but not necessarily on weekends) but desert, well moderation is in my vocabulary. Thanks for the challenge.

Hey Guys!

This weekend your challenge is to replace one dessert or snack that you'd normally have with fruit (or veggies, if you prefer) instead.

Fruit can be a great replacement for dessert if you're looking for something sweet, and veggies always make good snacks! The recommended daily intake for fruits and veggies is 5-9 servings per day- so this will help you boost that number!!

It will run from Fri, 21st through Sun, 23rd.

Hey guys!!

This weekend challenge is to get at least 5 servings of fruits and veggies (combined, not 5 of each) each day.

Fruits and veggies are an important part of a healthy diet. The government actually recommends 5-9 servings each day, but aim for 5 and you'll be on the right track. There are some good articles about this in the Nutrition Resource Center, as well as some great recipes on sparkrecipes.com that you might want to check out.

The challenge will run from Friday 14th through Sunday 16th.
