It's good news that you were only slightly inconvenienced. It made for a memory!

i had the bright idea to try to go to bed later and get up later this week in prep for the time change. after laying in bed wide awake for longer than recommended I finally got up - at 3am. My plan is working at night - going to bed later.

Today is supposed to be another perfect day weather-wise. My plan is to get a nice, long walk in with hubby and do a short Leslie workout this morning. I'm also going to continue outside cleanup. I should prep for Christmas lights outside. It gets so windy here we have to take advantage of the good weather while we can.

Nicole, how are things where you are ? I see you are in a motel, I hope its because of electric and not damage.

Dusty, my kids are both teens my so is 16 and my daughter 13, they did good yesterday we were out of electric for 3 hours on Monday night, we slept in the living room with a kerosene heater because we have no heat when the power is out. We have no major damage in my area, we were very lucky it did not get as bad here as they were predicting. My daughters back seems to be better thanks for asking.

You could be getting headaches from caffeine withdrawal, I have cut back on my pepsi and when I would go a day or 2 without it I get terrible headaches and of course not even advil seems to help but if I drink some pepsi its gone. Good luck, I know if you can make it about a week or so mine usually would be gone, but it seems just as I would get over them I decide to start drinking pepsi again, ugh nothing like self sabotage

Christy, are you in a motel because of the storm? Your kids are both teens? That would be tough cooped up. emoticon Is your dd better from the pulled muscle? You have so much happening.

I haven't had pop for about 3 days now. I've been getting small headaches. Since I'm not a coffee drinker, opting for tea, do you think I'm withdrawing? I was drinking p'si max and now drink just seltzer water. I was taught tea has a different type of caffeine. The more I learn, the more confused I get. Know the feeling?

So we're in a hotel tonight. My husband is working and won't be with us. I haven't worked out in 3 days. The kids are buggy from lack of their normal routine. I'm buggy because I'm off of my normal routine. AND I won't have a normal dinner for at least tonight, if not many nights this week. Thanks Sandy.

Stay safe everyone! Stay inside if you can. If it gets really bad out there make sure you move to the basement (if it's not in danger of flooding) and keep in mind where your most reinforced areas of your homes are...stay near there in case of downed trees.

Be careful above all else. You're all in our prayers!

We are in the path of the storm here too, I'm not on the coast but they are telling us to have enough food and water on hand for 3 days, I have that but my heat need electric so I'm not sure what we are going to do about that. Of course my husband says they are over reacting and we will not get the bad weather (I hope he is right) but I want to be ready just in case.

Whew, Christy. What a day! Hope you did get some relax time after all that.

Walked the 3 miles with Leslie today and tried to do the pilates. I have balance issues to begin with. Let's put it this way - glad I was doing it in the privacy of my home and not in a class! I'll keep trying.

Our snow melted but it's going to be the coldest night we've had this season. I'm ready to snuggle under the quilts and watch an epi or 2 of "As Time Goes By".

Well yesterday was very nerve racking around here, I went with my mother for groceries and lunch and on the way home the school nurse called saying that my daughters back is hurting her pretty bad, she gets UTI very frequently so that is immediately what I thought, later come to find out she just pulled a muscle in it from her PT on Monday, then last evening my son cut his knuckle it was bleeding pretty good but the cut was very small we got the bleeding to stop and then I was worried about him cutting a tendon or something I thought he should have it looked at my husband thought it was fine, this morning its just a little sore and swollen but he can move it and everything so I guess its ok just a cut that needs to heal now, but oh what a day yesterday I hope I can relax a little today.

Beautiful weahter in West Central Florida! I actually walked 1 mile outside today! I hope to be getting back on track. I have been very inconsistent this last month and exercised very little and ate way too much! Hope to do better today!

Glad that netflix it trying to make things right by finding you a dvd.

Yesterday I bought the halloween candy for the kids to give out to our little trick-or-treaters, after I put the candy in the bowls I had my daughter take them to the computer room, I am hoping out of sight out of mind type of thing, I usually just sit the candy on the counter and have a piece every time I walk by it, so far so good I did have a snack size candy bar yesterday but only 1.

Where is everyone? I miss your bright chatter.

Netflix sent me an email saying that I was waiting for one of Leslie's dvds for so long they are finding one. It will be a bonus to my plan. The timing is perfect. With so many other things going on there hasn't been time or motivation to work out these past several days. What a Godsend.

Here to wish everyone a great day. This morniing is going to be busy for me trying to get things done that I've been putting off. I heard a crash during the night. Turned out the cat knocked over a box of decorations. I hope the fragile ones didn't get broken. I'm almost afraid to look.

I know vinegar works to remove the smell as well as baking soda but I'm not sure if those can be used on a wool rug or not

Hubby kept thinking Sunday was Saturday. He had me convinced by the end of the day and I've been off since. I have to keep looking at the calander. Hubby is hunting this week so the days run together anyway.

While he's away I get to clean out the deep freeze. I think I'll do it tonight - I can get the food outside in coolers. It will be 30 overnight. I hate that job. Glad it only happens x2 year.

Tuesdays are usually my busiest day of the week also. We usually have my daughter 4h meeting on tuesdays well this week we had it Monday and then I spent all day yesterday thinking is was Wednesday not Tuesday ...ugh...

I've got to do something about Tuesdays, as I've noticed a bad pattern forming. Its my busy day of the week being out and about. By the time I get home I'm exhausted. I don't exercise much on Tuesdays.

I did try yesterday. I did 30 minutes with Leslie, but my heart wasn't in it. It was full of effort, and as you all know, her workouts are fairly easy for the most part.

emoticon Happy, Sparkling Friday! Is the sun shining where you live? It's not up here yet, but even when it does we're in store for a cold day. I warmed up doing a 2 mile video with Leslie. I feel energized!

Just a reminder, even if you don't have a question for the "questions" thread you might have an answer for someone. I gave an answer about about tracking a team goal but you may not agree with it. ( I did not originally post that goal. Personally I prefer to check a box than have to wait and fill in a number because I hate waiting on my computer) Anyway, I put 1 workout, while the answer you have may have been how many minutes. The asker and I would both like clarifiction.

Since I did several exercises Monday and then did weights and abs Tues I cut down to 15 min doing exercises last night. Will have to increase it tonight. As long as I get something set up I'll just do those for this month and then change it to some different ones next month and do that for a month, etc.

Hoping everyone is feeling okay and walk walk walking!!!

Anna, you are one smart cookie! I should set up a schedule, too. Maybe I'd be more apt to get back into a good routine. I did so well over the summer. I don't know what happened when the weather cooled.

30 minutes with Leslie this morning. If I go to town today I am going to check out Curves. I have a free month pass. I've been thinking about it for so long.

I'm trying to set up my exercise/strength for the week since my sessions with the trainer are done. I know I have to keep on going and not slack off or I'll slowly get out of the habit. My fitness tracker is soooooo full of exercises because the trainer kept switching stuff around so I had all the exercises with equipment and strength exercises I did on almost every day of the week. Once I get it figured out I'll just delete everything and add the ones I want.
Now to start tracking my food better so I get in line!!!
It's starting to get COLD here and possibly snow late tonight. No 107 here!!!

sworvoski: 107 degrees!?!? wow that's pretty hot. I dont like the cold weather but I dont like it that hot either I like it some where in the middle hahaha...


I have a very sore knee this morning and a stiff back I'm not sure if I have been over doing it with Leslie or what I took some advil and I hope the pain lets up I have cardio and ST scheduled for today but if my knee dont let up there is no way I can do either

I haven't been doing my exercises for several days now. Tomorrow - I promise.

Leg cramps. Track your potassium. I find when I don't get enough I get cramps. Another thing that may cause cramping is dehydration. Just a few thoughts on the subject.

Christy. Thank you for the advice on the bananas. Sometimes I get them free at work so I will be sure to grab a bunch. I did not want to exercise this morning but I made it through one mile with Leslie. Am very glad I did.

jomama I hope you got your dinner at red lobster last night .. I love that place !

Minilover I'm not sure about the leg cramps. I have been getting a charlie horse when I'm in the middle of my workout thank goodness that I am usually just able to bend my foot/leg and stretch it out quickly but I have added bananas to my diet in case I'm low on potassium, I hope you get them under control soon.

Well my weekend has been very busy and tomorrow is my weigh in and measurements I hope they show my hard work I'm really starting to get frustrated with the scale. Hope everyone is having a great weekend !!

First, I would like to welcome all the new members to our team. emoticon
Second, I have a question regarding leg cramps. I have been doing Leslie's videos for a couple of months now and the other night, I woke up with severe leg cramping in my right leg. Now when I am sitting down, my leg feels like it wants to start cramping again. Can anyone tell me why this is happening and what I should do to possibly prevent them? I enjoy doing the Walk Away The Pounds DVD's but now I can't. I am open to any suggestions.



I will do what I need to do in order to do what I want to do.

Happy Autumn Saturday. We're already a week into it! emoticon

Today, clean up and work on making the new pantry. I took a day yesterday for myself. It started out that I was going to get hardware for the shelves. Since it's such a long drive into town I started doing other errands. Next thing I knew it was afternoon.

Easy dinner last night - threw chicken over kraut and let it simmer. Low cal but have to watch that sodium. Tonight - leftovers. Must have them all out of the icebox before we go camping on Tuesday.

Just checking to see how everyone is doing today ?? WOOHOO its Friday !! Which for me means a ton of errands I'm half done, I got the banking done, stopped at walmart and got a few things, met my mom for lunch, got groceries bought home and put away. Soon I will be getting my daughter off the bus then to the school to pick up my son and his friend from detention emoticon get gas and then I finally get to come home and rest!

I am watching a shopping channel featuring a "rebounder". I.e., mini trampoline. I have one so thought I'd pick up some tips watching the demo. Much to my surprise they are doing many of Leslie's moves.

We had a newcomer's luncheon after church today. It was great getting to meet some new folks. The church is large and it's easy to get lost in the crowd. I met a lady who is doing a Curves diet plan. We didn't get into details. I did tell her about SP and how I've lost close to 30 lbs this year. We respected each other's ways.

I was overseas on my birthday, so today my folks took me out for lunch! It was beautiful and we got to sit outside. My parents, me, my daughter and my grandson! Four generations out together - just perfect.
