I need to get moving-I slept until after 8 even though I had told my GS I would drive him and his ROTC gear to school emoticon I totally forgot or I would have set the alarm. Then I had my coffee sitting next to me when I got up and managed to knock it over. Of course, it turned totally upside down. I've been on the computer since so I have to get up and move, vacuum, fix lunch, etc. I really AM enjoying being home alone while DH is off to his retiree lunch. That and gym time is my only time without a shadow. I'm hoping he finds something to do part time because he sits even more than I do and that's not good with his diabetes and heart issues.

Thank you. My day was spent running around with and for daughter and granddaughter for GD's shots DD's paperwork clearing her to get back to work! We had lunch and got some shopping done before taking them back home. Pretty soon they have to find a second car they can afford so they can both get to work and home.

I've been slacking on the exercise the last few days. I need to get to the pool tomorrow-either 9 am or 6 pm. Maybe it's the cooler weather but I do need to get in gear. I AM keeping the calories in range, though.

I walked on the treadmill this morning and this afternoon since the office was closed I did walk away the pounds so I got both of my walking in today just like yesterday.

I went to the doctors and she told me that I was lacking protein and she put me on a 1200 diet and with sparks and she also wants me to walk 10 minutes a day so tomorrow will be the first so please keep me focus on this.

Lots of options but as my old trainer used to say it all goes back to more calories out than calories in. I have tried but never survived a no carb diet. I lost because that trainer was pushing me to work out a lot and devised a low calorie but well balanced diet. It was 5 small meals a day.

If you don't watch those calories you can walk forever and not lose. At least I could. It is important to do both but it's sometimes easier to focus more on one while still doing the other and when it gets easier add to the other. Hope that makes sense to you.

Jan here trying to stay consistant with a plan. Can never keep going.. They say it's 80 percent diet so why do I try to exercise ?? I guess I think if I watch calories and walk a fast mile each day I'll lose and tone hoping this is a good plan any input???

Hope the baby's hips are okay! And the appointments go well emoticon

I had a lazy day yesterday, just barely got my 10,000 steps in. Made up for it today.
After school my daughter and I walked one of the local trails, finished it before it got dark! Such a beautiful spot.

Happy New Year to you, too, Val.

I'm still adding cards to the wall where I have all we've received hanging and my snowmen are still hanging around the room with us. emoticon

Today was spent driving DD and granddaughter to downtown Jacksonville for an ultrasound or MRI (I can never remember which) for the baby's hips because she was breach and sometimes their hip joint doesn't form right. We also did some shopping at BJ's and lunch before taking them back home. I'll pick them up in the morning for DD's appointment to check out the pain she is still having in the stomach. I'm sure glad my kids didn't have problems like my 3 grandkids have all had.

Spent Sunday around the house. All the inside Christmas decorations came down today. Taking the tree out is my thing.
My husband and daughter enjoy decorating it but for some odd reason I love taking it down and out the door. Good workout too lifting the tree out.

Other than that I did my two workouts and had an other wise lazy day.
School is back in session tomorrow and my husband is back to work.

Thanks. It's been a pretty normal Sunday with church, lunch and back to church to count money. Counting went well and quickly so I have been able to spend time relaxing at home along with taking care of DD's dogs while they are gone.

That's a great start to the new year! Our only activity was to take down the outside Christmas decorations which did include climbing up and down the ladder but just high enough to unhook the lights. We just got back from taking care of the kids' dogs since they are out of town. The temps have finally cooled down to feel kind of like Christmas but it's a few days late-50s today and it was 80 on Christmas but we live in Florida so that's what we get.

Happy New Year everyone emoticon

We actually had a beautiful winter day here in Newfoundland today. Snow enough to cover the grass and sunshine. My husband and I skipped the exercise bike and went outside and enjoyed this weather and did a little over 2km walk in 30 minutes. It was A LOT of uphill but so much fun. We managed to maintain conversation as we walked (usually we would get winded) So YAY for us, we're making progress emoticon

Hope everyone had a nice Christmas and/or Hanukkah.

Looking forward to being much more active in 2016 in general as well as with this team! If there has been something exercise related I always come back to it is walking and most often it is with my Leslie DVD's. I do enjoy getting outside as well and working toward being in shape enough to participate in local trail races for fun. I must say I believe wholeheartedly that incorporating these DVD's definitely helps with that progress! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Hello Winter!!!
