On the dailywalk app (I use it on my Roku stick) there are multiple videos that use stretchy bands or the "miracle" band. There are light, medium, and heavy stretchy bands to choose from at most department stores, I bought mine at Target, and how much intensity you put into using them is how much strength training or toning you get out of them. Before I bought the bands I did more of the videos of her using weights. Even with just the light band I feel the burn and I'm always sore the next day.

I have many many videos of Leslies videos. Dating back from the early 90's actually!! I do like the schedule of what walks to do on certain days as well as strength training.

I also find The 30 Day Jumpstart Your Workout Challenge to be great. Everyday exercises a different part of your body. Go to the Challenges tab at the top of your page and click on Calendar Challenges.

I am not sure which ones you have but she does have several that are strength workouts including Walk it off in 30 Days has a 30-minute dumbbells workout. She also has a few others- some dumbbell some that use figure 8 loops as well as cuffed versa bands for lower body strength.

I couldn't see counting those as strength. It might not be like Cathe Friedrich (amazing stuff) but don't count all of Leslie's Strength out.


Everything can be offered up as a sacrifice. All of this. It can, it will, in the long run benefit not only me, but my family as well. It's a worth-while sacrifice no matter how long it takes. I must look for His glory in all of this.

I treat all of Leslie's videos as strictly cardio. I have a separate home dumbbell routine that I use for strength-training.

I'm curious to hear how others get their strength training in along with using Leslie's workouts? Some DVDs have a little- others more. But what about those users that don't do Leslie's strength workouts... what's your plan or routine?
