I see the Spark videos then I make up some moves like do that bicycle move sitting on a chair. I am disabled so many moves are impossible for me.

i try to do 1 or2, 10 minute focused ab routines per week. if they are too long, i struggle to get though them. there are a lot of videos on sparkpeople and other websites. i think walking away the pounds series has an ab video.

when at my desk. i will generally do some breathing with ab bracing when at my desk at work when waiting for a program to respond or during a meeting.


otherwise i feel the need to make sure i do at least 1 focused ab routine each week.

There are some Spark videos which show how to do core exercise while seated. I sit & lift my legs up then doing the same move as jumping jacks.

Side bends, waist twists, bend overs while sitting in your chair to touch your toes, etc., can all be done in your chair.

You can try sitting on a workout ball for part of your shift so that you have to use your core muscles instead of using the back of a chair.

Does anyone have some good core workouts for sitting down? I was thinking about while sitting at work. I just think I would get funny looks if I laid on the floor and did crunches. :)
