Vacations are nasty things, one of the worst enemies of eating well.

I binged today. I started out okay at breakfast, lunch wasn't bad, but then I had a Weight Watchers cookie. Then a Weight Watchers chocolate muffin. Then way too much peanut butter. Then a Snickers. Today's my baby girl's 4th birthday (definitely not a baby anymore!)and we ordered Chinese and had cake. OY.

Yup, I feel for the on vacation spot too, gone for a week, and then never got back on track last week either. So today I am back on track and letting go of the last 2 weeks.

All right - that is it! I have had enough. I went to my brother's wedding in New Orleans and if you know anything about the city then you know that the food is FABULOUS!!! I was so far from my plan that I decided to live it up while I was down there. Well, I have been back for 6 days and have been continuing to eat whatever I want! I'm scared to get on the scale, because I've been pigging out, you know, eating like it's my last meal, every meal! emoticon I have a huge test tomorrow and that's been my recent excuse, but I only have 4 weeks until my surgery and I need to drop as much weight as humanly possible.

So, here I am - purging myself of the "it's okay for a little while", "I'm on vacation", "I've been good for a while", "I'm so stressed out and don't have the time" and the "I've already done so much damage" mentalities and am re-committing myself to get back to where I was before the trip - on track and ready to lose the weight!

emoticon

Forgive me (I need to forgive myself, really) because I have been horrrrible for about the last 7-10 days. There were a couple of on track days in there but damn, I feel out of control. I'm back on TONIGHT. I was going to wait until tomorrow, but if I wait until tomorrow I'll wait until the next day. I gained 2.4 pounds as of my last weigh in. I need to stop!!

Hey there Done Girls! I hope that the binge confessions are helping! I have done much much better this week (compared to last week), however, I still indulged last night...

My boyfriends mom took us out for dinner for an early birthday celebration (his not mine). Well, I had more than my share of cheesy tater casserole with dinner, plus I had two beers while waiting for her to get there.

I DID however, do 40 minutes on the elliptical when I got home :-)

tonite I am taking him out for dinner for his birthday, then we are going out downtown for his annual 'drink-as-much-as-I-want because it's my birthday' nite. LoL, I will be taking care of him, so that keeps me from sucking down the beer. I am going to try to drink water only all night, maybe a diet coke or two. Hope all of you girls are having luck recommitting after your binge confessions!!!

I had an awful weekend!

Saturday morning I had to come into work and I brought cereal and snacks for lunch but didn't have any milk. Stopped at 2 gas stations but couldn't find any skim milk, so instead I went to the donut shop and got 4, FOUR, crossaint sausage rolls. Then I had BBQ later in the day. Yesterday started out great with breakfast, but boyfriend and I were out running errands mid morning and starving so stopped at sonic to get a snack (ched 'R peppers). Then went to grill chicken and veggies around 2-3PM but a little girl stopped by with girl scout cookies and my boyfriend and I finished a whole box (oh this hurts to admit) before the chicken and veggies were done. We were drinking as well, so after we had drank a lot.. we went to get frozen yogurt. I then had chicken tenders, fries and a large frozen yogurt mix with reeses and heath bar.

I felt HORRIBLE last night and all this morning. I'm finally feeling better, but I've already had about 10 glasses of water today and it's only 3PM!

Oh man, I'm so embarrassed. I cannot believe I admited that!

Oh man! This weekend wasn't great. I oinked out on chili friday, I did ok saturday, but yesterday my downfall was twizzlers and soda.

This week I know I'm going to have a hard time, because my well meaning mother-in-law brought over "goodies". An extra large box of cheeze-its and toastido's pizza rolls (which I have been thinking about all morning, ugh)

I normally allow myself an indulgence once a week, which was Thursday night. Of course, I really over did it at Chilli's and got appetizer, entrée and dessert and probably choose the worst options possible! The dessert (only my half) was 800 calories and 40 grams of fat without the ice cream! emoticon

I was more or less okay with the food overload, but then I went to a party last night. My best friend was hosting it and she's Puerto Rican. Well, I didn't know anyone else there and they were all speaking spanish - so I didn't understand anyone and felt totally left out. emoticon So, what did I do - I turned to my second best friend, FOOD, and just stuffed my face with all the terribly fattening party food.

emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

i love this board! i had a whole bad week going over in calories. the worst of which was tuesday and last night - snacking on animal crackers and those special k bars. instead of eating just one i had like 5 or 6....not good. *sigh*
but im back on the wagon today and I plan of getting rid of those bars so they arent anywhere near me when im feeling weak.

I've been tring to keep my intake of sugars below 20 grams per day. So--- yesterday I had over 50 grams-- primarily from 2 cups of honey nut cherios, at least an ounce of corn chips, and a dozen or so nut thins crackers. But I'm bouncing back today-- planning to stay away from refined food.

Last night after drinking a bazillion calories in beer, orange Vodka and red bull... I went to a Mexican place and got an order of 5 rolled tacos (they're like taquitos), chips with cheese and a churro. I did order a Diet Coke though, so that should have balanced everything out right? haha

Hi all! Me too! Yesterday I had loads of chips. Today I had a McDonlads Burger and chips.

But I think I have hit on something powerful in turning this around... And have blogged about it...

Might be a bit too Polyanna for some, but hey, its gonna work for me! I think the idea of logging binges is great for accoutability but ultimately we want to get out of this cycle don't we?

Well I do, so... see if this helps...

Okay, so right after I left that post about yesterday...what do I do? My bf and I went to town to get some errands done. Well, we left the house hungry, so of course we ended up stopping for lunch. Ugh...White Castles...and I could have had like 3 reg burgers and been alright, but no, I had 4 cheeseburgers, chicken rings, and a pibb. I had a breakdown once I got home because I felt so awful. We had a talk and he said that he is going to try to help me make better decisions with my food. He feels partly responsible for my bad eating, which is not really true. I have the power to say no...anyway, hopefully I will not be posting any bad food confessions on here for a while. LoL...I started this thread, and I am using it the most...not what I intended it for!!

Perfect thread. I've been feeling extremely guilty for my few binge days. It started Thursday with 4 slices of sausage pizza. I was stuffed after 2 but I kept on eating. On Friday, a bacon cheeseburger, cheddar cheese fries, and milkshake for dinner. Then later on it was a smoothie, chocolate mousse, and coconut cupcake. Breakfast on Saturday was a cheese and ham omelette and home fries and for dinner chicken with broccoli in garlic sauce from the chinese place. Needless to say I gained a few pounds. Today i'm back on track and more determined than ever.

Well yesterday was going great! Until I went to work. I ate an early dinner and ended up getting hungry at work...what did I eat? reeses peanut butter cups out the vending machine. Since that wasn't quite substantial, I was hungry when I got home. There was a slice of the evil pizza from the night before that I had. Ugh...I need to get myself in check with this eating stuff...

Last night I had pizza. Goat cheese, roasted garlic, kalamata olive, and mushroom pizza with lots of mozerella. SO MUCH SODIUM... I had 4 slices. And a slice of apple pie.

Oh and today I just ate a Krispy Kreme donut.
emoticon
I am also going to have dinner with family tonight... I know the food will be AMAZING but I will practice portion control and drink LOTS of water. Oatmeal and fruit for breakfast tomorrow!!

Don't worry, it happens to everyone! Even men fall to temptation!

-- The other day my fiancée got a raise at work which is amazing in this economy so I went out and bought him a cake, an evil cake. Well, he got home from work and I showed him his beautiful cake (we are both huge foodies) and he wanted a piece. I cut out two small pieces yet somehow we ended up eating straight out of the box. By the end of the night 3/4 of the cake was gone, oh yea and there are only two of us. We totally binged on that cake and never felt so guilty.

Words to the wise don't bring it in the house.

Oh, I had a very naughty day yesterday... Donuts for breakfast (not as many as I would normally consume pre-SparkPeople, though), McDonald's for lunch, and cookies after dinner.

Ugh.

What a great idea! OK, so, St. Patrick's Day? I don't want to talk about it.

Today, I MANAGED to stay in range, but, barely!

Breakfast was a chocolate long john donut. They were at work as usual (donut thursday) and I just really wanted one and justified it by saying I would have a donut and NOT one of the cupcakes someone brought in today. Well, that held until about 3 this afternoon when I couldn't ignore the cupcakes calling my name anymore. I broke and had one. So, there it is. Donut and cupcake all in one day!

I thought that it might be a good thing to start a thread where you can come and confess to some awful eating that you might have done and you just cannot let go of. This can keep you from moving on with your otherwise healthy lifestyle, so just stop in, post it on here, and LET IT GO! Now, hopefully you won't be doing this often, but it does happens from time to time.

My motivation for this today comes from my awful eating that I have done. It was an entire day of bad eating...but I must let it go, so here it is:

Breakfast- McDonalds Bacon, egg, cheese biscuit & hashbrown (I told myself it was okay since I was running late, and was on the road....baaaad) emoticon

Lunch- Reg. coke, zebra cakes

Dinner- Big fatty, meaty pizza...two huge slices... emoticon

Okay, there...it's DONE! Now I must move on with my evening. And one thing I am aiming for is at least one hour on my elliptical!
