Totally LOVE me some Avacado!! They taste oh so yum on a turkey burger!! Love the idea of making a facial mask with the other half!! Great idea!! I could then just lick it off!! Hehe, just kidding!!

Here is how i look at it, i gained weight by eating fast food, chocalate cake, and too many candy bars.... Not by eating the healthy fats.... If its sold in the produce section and its not processed, I'll eat it in moderation and not worry as long as its in my calorie range. Enjoy those ugly green little buggers!!

MMM FRIEND!!

Last night i had avocados in two of my meals, one on top of organic brown rice, organic spicy black beans, roasted peppers, onions with some tortilla strips.

The other meal was a BLT&A. A whole wheat toast, bacon, tomatoes, lettuce and slices of avocados. it was SO yum!

Oh I love avocados but I don't eat them often, only buy them occasionally. Just like others I can eat the whole thing...I just wish they didn't go bad so soon once they are peeled. I think I'll try the facial idea though :)

There may not be a beauty contest when I go to my coffin but I want to LIVE!

I LOVE avocado! I usually eat it in my sushi and as guacamole. But I don't have it that often. I plan to start adding it to my sandwichs. I've tried burgers with it before and it's super delicious!

Definitely friend but I only like them in something like guacamole. I'm not a fan of just eating them in slices.

Avocados are one of my favorite foods! I try not to buy them too often because I can't eat just part of one, I always eat the entire thing. Just track them and be aware of where your calories are, but they are healthy fat.

I love avocados! I like to put them with chicken on a sandwich mmm. Now I'm going to have to pick one up from the store lol.

Friend; but you have to check the consumption....good fat is still fat ;-) calories. I use them to make guacamole and sliced in sandwiches.

Friend for sure... just keep your consumption in check... because a calorie is still a calorie. Just like all good fats, they should be enjoyed in moderation!

Love them, definitely a friend but should be limited. I love them on sandwiches or salads, so I will skip the cheese and mayo/ dressing and use avocado and salsa instead to keep my overall fat and calories down.

They should be slightly soft, not mushy. If they are still hard, leave out on counter near sun to ripen.

Avocados have 0 cholesterol. They do have fat, but it's the healthy kind.
They are definitely a FRIEND......just don't over do it because they are high in calories.

Friend for sure. As long as you don't over do them. My Dr was like well they have a lot of cholesterol but I don't think she realizes I try to avoid meat. My cholesterol wasn't high really just the triglyceride part. The total is well within normal range and LDL and HDL are apparently normal she didn't speak on them. I eat them. Usually half on a salad or cucumber, lettuce, tomato sandwich. The other half my dd eats right out with a spoon. I'll do that too but my favorite is on the sandwich or salad.

Luckily for me they are a food I enjoy but can stop at half a day. Even up to a whole one between lunch and dinner I didn't see any huge jumps off my tracking goals.

advacdo does have fats but i think it is the good fat but i see them as a friend .i limit myself to half an advacardo when i have one and the other half i mash up with a bit of yogurt and lemon juice and make a face pack.i leave it on my face foe 10-15 mins then wash off.my face always feels so clean and smooth afterwards.the main reason i do this is not because how it makes my skin feel but because if i dont do it i would eat the other half lol.i love advacardo as they are one of my trigger foods if i get started so i think i have come up with a great compromise for me.my skin thanks me as well.

Avacados are extremely healthy and good for you. But they are high fat (think like peanut butter.) Avacadoes are something that you can very easily overeat, so track really carefully or limit them if you want to lose weight.

I was losing weight pretty well eating up to one per day (in addition to alot of other healthy low cal foods), but it was taking a good chunk of my calorie allowance. I don't choose to do that very often because it's hard to get a good calorie deficit eating them regularly.

I've recently discovered a love of avocados and enjoy making a very simple guacamole for a snack. I don't really know a ton about nutrition so I'm looking for some guidance from the DONE ladies.

I keep hearing that avocados are healthy and contain healthy fats, so do I not worry so much about the fat content when I track them or should my consuming love of them be tamed?
