It is far easier to MAKE time to exercise than it is to FIND time to exercise. You want results???? MAKE it happen.

You're learning what we all learn as we maintain. We watch the scales, and when they start to go up, we get back into our weight-losing routine. We start over and over and over. At least I do!

Soooo, I kind of took the summer off from Sparkpeople, and I have about 6-10 extra pounds to show for it (yikes!).

(I'm not sure exactly of my weight gain since I used a different scale up until now and it may not be giving the same reading. Nevertheless, I've gained at least some weight.)

Unlike in the past, however, I am not totally depressed about this gain. Because I know I can get right back on track. (But I do need to learn how to stay on track no matter what happens in my life!)

I'm actually surprised I didn't gain more, and I think the 6 or 7 months of daily exercise and good nutrition (up until this summer) actually raised my metabolism!!

I had been living in Colorado until early July when I came home to CT to visit family and help my boyfriend's family out with their business. As you might expect, I feel completely out of my routine when it came to nutrition and exercise. I didn't have the mountains to climb, nor the exercise classes to go to. I couldn't afford to keep going to the YMCA. And it's sooo hard to resist the supply of cookies and ice cream in my household, which I would NOT have bought on my own! But soon, I'll be back in Boulder, and back into my routine. I CAN'T WAIT.

I'm not going to be sad about it. I'm not going to try to find some outside force to blame. It was me. It was my fault. But only I have the power to turn this around. AND GOSH DARNIT, I WANT TO!

So any extra words of motivation and encouragement you wonderful, wonderful ladies could offer would be.. well.. just fabulous :)

I hope all of you are doing well and are in hot pursuit of your goals!!!
