Absolutely not. Never have been. I hate the alarm clock. It's one of the reasons why I have chosen to go into a profession where I can work nights. emoticon

When I was a kid I was a total morning person and I'm trying to become one again, but I'd have to say I'm definitely more a night owl. I like to stay up late and work on the computer. Although I have to admit that sometimes I fall asleep at the computer and keep fighting to get one more thing done and 4 hours pass by! LOL I just won't give up and go to bed. I've started getting up between 7:30 and 9am depending on the day. My boyfriend is working in Ghana right now so when I get up I get to talk to him online for a while-so it's worth it to get up. He'll be home in another 2 weeks if all goes well. I can't wait!! We met online and this will be our first face to face meeting. I am stoked! OK, enough off topic, right now I'm trying to retrain to become a morning person. It's coming slowly but surely.

Hugs, Lauri

Never have been, never will be. And yet Mon-Fri I get my a$$ out of bed at 5a to be at work by 545a. The good thing is that I am usually done for the morning by about 10, so I can feel productive for the rest of the day. :)

I start work at 5 am and work 45 minutes from home, so I am up at 3 am Tuesday thru Friday. I work 4 ten hour shifts so I am off Sat, Sun and Mon. I LOVE MY SCHEDULE!!!! As long as I sleep for 6 hours I am good and ready to go, so I am usually in bed by 9. I love my mornings in the quiet knowing my kids are all happy and asleep safe and sound when I leave for work...makes me feel good. The hubby gets them off to school. I am very blessed to have my job and this schedule. For me MORNINGS ARE GREAT!

I'm so not a morning person. I'm usually up before 8 even on weekends, but I don't want to do much other than drink coffee in silence. I'm working on it, though. Getting a quick workout in seems like the best way to start the day.

i used to be a morning person and lately i have been sleeping in. Even if I get 8 hours I'm still sleeping. I do not like this new person I have become. I personally like being a morning person. I like to have a great morning before i go to work at noon.. Lately I have been waking up at 1030 with only an hour to get ready for work. I would rather get up at 730 or 800. This would mean getting in bed at a decent hour..that is hard as well because of my work schedule.

No, and I never have been. Even when I get plenty of sleep I am still a complete beast until I've been out of bed for at least an hour (and I usually don't get out of bed until I've hit snooze at least three times).

I admire people who can get out of bed and work out at 5AM - or even be spoken to in the morning - I just don't think I'll ever count myself among them.

I used to be - I used to be wide awake when the alarm went off. After 6+ years of living my non-morning-person husband, I now press the snooze button and sleep through alarms. I am working to get back to getting up immediately. The snooze button doesn't buy back enough time. After 3+ weeks of getting on the treadmill, it is starting to get easier. Never have had a good mood in the morning though - if you do, consider yourself lucky.

Like some other people. I usually have a great mood in the morning once I get going. I can be very bright and chipper by the time I'm at work. But I don't like to get up in the mornings. I always stay in the bed 15-30 minutes longer than I plan to. I even work out in the afternoons, just because I haven't been able to make myself get up in the morning. Even when I tell myself: just get up ten minutes earlier, I won't do it.

I never used to be but I'm a morning person now. I get my exercise in right away in the morning, than I know how much of the day I got left to do other things around the house or errands, etc. When I did the cleaning, errands, etc first I never seemed to find the time or energy to exercise and would make tons of excuses to why I couldn't fit in any extra activity.

Not a morning person at all. To ensure I don't bite people's heads off I have a tendency to sleep in the am. It also helps that I have been working 3rd shift hours since 7 years ago! I am pretty thankful for that!

Definitely not! I was recently promoted at my job (a good thing) from overnights to AMs. :P I appreciate their confidence in me, and I like my new duties, but it's a HARD transition.

Then again, at my old job, we had to exercise with the clients every AM. We were up by 530AM and on the track running by 615am. Never thought I would get used to that, but I did. So it's just a matter of changing habits. I still feel more comfortable working out during the evening though.

Get it!!

Definitely not. I have a hard time even falling asleep before midnight, so getting up before 8 or 9 in the morning never works out well for me. I've given up on ever being able to not hit the snooze button, so I just set the alarm 20 minutes or so before I really need to get up. Then I can snooze without running late.

HECK TO THE NO!!!!

Not a chance. I am such a night owl. 7AM? YUCK! And there are certain hours of the morning, like 4 AM that should only be seen because you've stayed up to see them arrive--

NOPE...Sometimes I try...but I have never been a morning person. I love the night life...lol I am more awake in the dark...I sleep better in the morning with the sun shining...its weird...my mother hated that when I was growing up.
However being a single mom...I have no choice to get up in the morning...maybe someday I will be a morning person.

Definitely a morning person. I get up, get moving & have more work done in the morning than my daughter would ever consider doing all day long! I'm a big one to relax in the afternoon, but then I manage to get another burst of energy later in the day. Crazy, but I am both a morning person and a night owl. ??? No matter how much I try to "force" myself, the max sleep I usually manage to get it 6 hours. Then my body wakes up & is ready to go. Maybe that's the farm girl in me?
