I agree until you have a heart rate monitor you really can't tell how many calories your burning the trackers and the treadmill are just an estimate. To get a more accurate number you really need that heart rate factor added in.

C25K runs are only about 30 minutes. If you are doing that every other day, that's just not enough exercise for the week.

Try an hour every day.

I've been way off track lately due to a family crisis and being sick, but usually I do something high impact
(running, Zumba) three days a week, along with weight training. Then the other three days, I alternate in something lower impact like swimming. I *try* to rest on day seven, or do something very light like a half-hour walk.

Dances: salsa (standard/LA), casino, rueda de casino, cumbia Colombiana, cumba Mexicana, bachata, mambo, cha-cha-chá, merengue, reggaetón.

Dances to Learn in the future: flamenco, tango Argentino, samba, belly dancing, bhangra, danzón, Cuban rumba, ballroom rumba

SP fitness tracker is only an estimate.
I wear a Polar sportswatch and heart monitor chest strap for accuaracy. I found that I am burning a lot more calories than what's caluculated on the fitness tab.

truth is that we burn a lot less calories than we imagine. I had my "cultural shock" when I got my HRM.

Are you basing it off what sparkpeople say you burn or off a treadmill? I use the runkeeper app on my phone and its close to what my HRM says I burn when I run outside.

Hope this helps.

The couch to 5k program with the speeds that I am run/walking it is only burning 306 calories!

This is sad because I feel like I am really killing it out there.

I'm doing this every other day.

Looks like I need to up the intensity and/or add cross training days to add more calories burned each week.
