Sure wouldn't want to do it tomorrow. Heard on the news tonight that they're expecting up to 35 mph winds.

I think you're right to wait. Winds are strong sometimes. I wouldn't want to sway when I'm up so high. It would be a fantastic view and nicer in the summertime.

My husband and I were discussing riding that wheel earlier. We agreed that we'd pay for it at least one time for the experience, but will wait til warmer weather.

No, we didn't. We were getting cold. The wind picked up and the temperature went down! We wanted to get home. Actually, I never even thought about it! The one at Union Station does have enclosed pods, I guess you call them. A number of people fit in each one.

Doesn't the one downtown have enclosed pods (or whatever the correct term is) instead of dangling open seats? I wouldn't mind that. I usually like ferris wheels but don't like roller coasters.

Let us know if you went on it when you were downtown and give us your review on it.

Yes, I like them, but my husband doesn't. emoticon

I did talk him into riding the one on top of City Museum. Have you done that one? I think I can work it out to ride the Union Station ferris wheel even if my husband stands below and watches. We'll be doing one of our walks downtown Saturday, and maybe some in the group will want to ride it with me.

I look forward to going on it when we get downtown. Last time I was on one was when I was in England and road the Wheel and that was in 1999.

I like them. We rode on the one at the Santa Monica Pier this summer. It was really cool. We haven't been tot he new one downtown yet, but plan on it.

Do you like ferris wheels? Have you ridden the one at Union Station?
