I've been doing low carb. I find that sliced cucumbers and the 100 calorie guacamole packs are awesome. I put Chia seeds in water to help with fiber and feeling full. Add a little crystal light and it's like Bubble Tea! I found the chia seeds to be quite the trend setter. I really enjoy blackberries and jerkey (I just have to watch the sugar in the jerkey) I work the ER so whatever I eat is at the desk and between codes, sutures and flu swabs.

http://holycrap.ca/ can ship to the USA as well as Canada. Their cereals are all quite high in fibre. I put about a tablespoon in a serving of yogurt. It can sit all day without getting soggy like granola does. Or look at the ingredient list and make your own mix from a bulk health food store. a hardboiled egg might be a good, quick snack. Celery with cheese or peanut butter. or pack celery sticks and tuna salad, use the celery stick as a spoon and save on packing extra dishes.

I have small portion controlled things that I can eat in a couple of minutes. Half a sandwich, cheese stick and cut up fruit, etc. I work a floor and can't have food at the desk, so I keep the snacks in the break room and will "grab and go" by dividing my lunch into manageable portions that I can eat in a couple of minutes.

As an OR RN there really is not time for lunch. Any suggestions for healthy yet filling snacks that will keep me from the candy jar?
