My goodness...it's been almost a whole month and no one's been checking in...although I know we've been doing the Oct. challenge...just thought we better get this thread back up in place for when the Oct challenge is done...

I do hope we can do as well as we did in October..so good luck and let's keep our dreams going...everyone has a dream!

How are we doing ladies? Have you been checking the scale lately....I know we're weighing in on Oct so we probably don't need both sites, but this site continues after October.....

Only lost .4 this week, but after the 9lb loss last week, I knew my numbers would be low. At least I didn't gain! I'm at 190.8 now...and the only way is down....

Well I started over AGAIN, but this time I think I've got the answer and it will be dropping every week...instead of weighing in monthly. I changed my ticker to show little goals...not that I want to be down to 138 in a year...but that I want to move to 175, and then 155 and then 138. Maybe that will also help my head to accept the flow..

I lost 9 lbs this week....Yeah...as I was telling Beingtruetome it was probably water weight, but I'll take it...

Let's see what next week brings...

Which is a 11 lb lose. I gained when I had surgery on the Sept.1. I had gained 10 from the IV that day. emoticon

LMAO Lori: your last post must be for me since last week I lost 195 lbs. I would have had to have gotten rid of my hubby or two kids and you know that is not going to happen. I don't know if I am tired or what but you just made me laugh.

Maybe I didn't make it clear at the beginning of the month regarding this goal....

Everyday on the "other goals" page, if you lose weight, put in the box how much you lost...if you didn't just place a "0" in the box...we've got some members losing 50, and some 25, and not to say I wouldn't love you to lose that much, but I don't think in one day or week that's really possible, short of cutting your head, or a limb off, at which time I could do very easily....JUST JOKING.....

We just want our goal to be as close to accurate as we can get...we really want to make this goal...

So keep up the good work, and don't give up...every little bit counts....

emoticon Thanks to Beingtruetome, she got me motivated to put our WEIGH-IN back on the block. We are here for weight-loss and we really haven't been acknowling that aspect of the group.....

SOOOOO (sorry, Beingtruetome, didn't mean to throw you under the bus, so to speak)as of August 1, we're going to have this be a challenge also.

We will record our weight-loss on the Other Goals page ALSO.

The challenge is to lose 1POUND a week.....I think this should move slow enough that WE CAN ALL keep it off....I'm not going to suggest a certain time to weigh in...that will be your choice....but make sure you record it for your "Points" (I'm all for you getting points!) So I hope this helps you all....I know some of you may lose more then that a week, which is fine, just keep it recorded, but others of us who struggle due to age, immobility, sickness, etc we will be fighting for that 1 lb. Good luck and may you ALL reach your goals!

Okie Dokey!
I weighed in this morning and lost .4lb!!!

I'm still excited, though, because I found different stuff that you can't "weigh" but you can "measure".

Sorry I'm "weighing-in" so late here. I did have my weigh-in this morning at 10:00 - a bit later than usual. Nevertheless, it WAS 12 hours ago.

And the good news is:

-2.8 lbs

Now, I've lost a total of 20 lbs. since May 30!!

I'm hoping y'all have a good night and you are reaching toward your goals, as well.

Hello everybody!

Yes, I weigh-in once a week - Friday morning at 9:00 am.

At first, I dreaded the scale; after three weeks, I couldn't wait for Friday. Now, I WISH every day was Friday.

But, I still only step on it once a week. It is a very special time for my D-I-L and I, as we are both on SparkPeople, and we weigh in together to celebrate and commiserate with each other over our downs/and stay-the-sames. (So far, we've not gone back up!!)

Tomorrow starts our 7th week on SP, and in six weeks, I've watched the scale go down 17.2 pounds!

Thank you each and everyone for the motivation and inspiration you share and give to all of us for continuing on a very hard journey together.

So, TODAY, let's just link our "virtual" arms and help each other to take one step just for today!!

Weigh yourself; do one of your other goals; post a message; read a message; get up and stretch; walk; look at your visuals' ANYTHING - - - just one thing TODAY to help you on your way!

I've noticed that this team doesn't weigh in, and that's fine....I'm not a real lover of that thing either...

But I want the ones who do weigh themselves to please let us know how you're doing weight wise. I don't want to make it a mandatory thing. I generally weigh myself every two weeks...as I fluctuate soooo much that it's depressing to lose/gain/lose/gain.

We want to be able to celebrate your victory, no matter how big or small that victory is...it's still a victory Right!?!!!

So just check in when you do weigh yourself and let us cheer you on, or maybe give you a shoulder to lean on and an ear to vent to....

We, as a team, are here for EVERYONE..and we'll make it through this new lifestyle together, "One Day at a Time"!
