I want warm weather so I can go back to walking outside again. I haven't exercised yet and I am getting really frustrated. They are starting water aerobics here soon so I may get into that. Hope I am not repeating myself. I also need to get some banjo stirngs to get back into practicing my banjo. Imagine my joy at reading that John Paul Jones plays to relax. Whoooo, love the Jonesy. So anyway I will post my stats later. I really want to lose 15 pounds by April. Is that too much to shot for?

lol, I'm a lister by nature anyway. They only concellation is that I got on the scale today and so far no loss or gain. I am gonna have to refocus after New Year's. I would love to lose half of what I have left by Spring.

Don't feel bad Coletta Pageroks blew us all away by keeping track. Things aren't as bad as I thought but there are way too many high calorie foods in the kitchen. Must keep up with exercise and jump the fruits, vegetables and soup...when do you want to start the next challenge? Spring isn't so far away...

I am very sorry about yesterday and I am gonna try to do everything today but with Christmas coming I am running errands in the am before work and at lunch and my husband took a second job for Christmas and my evenings are with the baby.

Last night I was up till 11 baking for friends and have to the next three nights as well.

I am also leaving Curves. I have been there 2 months and I just don't like it. I have gone back to doing the Walk Away The Pounds Express dvd and that is why I am having trouble getting my exercise in.

Oh, well enough oh my poor me. I just want to be accountable is all. Hope everyone has a productive day.

arbonnejulie no! Stay! Its so nice when others are working at it right beside you!

This back thing sucks. It was getting better, how could I have possibly injured it during yoga? Damn! I've needed to stay on the treadmill just to keep the pain down. (Truly sitting around makes it worse) I replied to the wrong message so I'm trying to remember the point system

C: 4? Treadmill and of course the killer yoga for 40 minutes.
Ack! What was the rest? Lets see, I glanced at a small cut on Jimmy Page and Robert Plant...Jimmy's fingers haven't changed much (except for the broken one) Robert still looks very good to me, always will. But I listened to the Zombies so there is a point. I'm here everyday so there is a point and something good for myself? A bathtub and extra strength Tylenol. Babel do you get a Christmas Holiday? I hope Christmas Day doesn't mess me up too much on the scale because I'm not counting on that day. I'm still not sure on Christmas Eve....

They have the mint kit kat here its not too bad because one package is 107 calories. I'm a sugar fiend so I have a little something pretty much everyday, I just try to keep it small. Mix a cut up apple, a couple of walnuts and a spoon full of cream cheese together and that's really good. Anyway...for yesterday (I'll always be a day behind)

Yes they do, and they are delightful. I had the other one from the package today. They are really good with a cup of black coffee. :D
I totally didn't stay in my calorie range yesterday, but I did get up and do some of the strength training exercises this morning! I will finish them when I get home (after I put up my Christmas tree)!

I loved visiting the gals on the dark side and some of the 100+ boards. I can't believe they took the 'other groups' and '100+ boards' off.

It's not the same, and they will never convince me.
I think it was a bad move, especially for brand new people.

A couple of egg substitutes for baking sweets are 1/4 cup of applesauce per egg, or 1 banana per egg. You can also do 2 tbsp water + 1 tbsp oil + 1 tbsp baking powder. I have some more substitutes at home that I got from peta.org.

the substitutions are still a form of egg except one that had flax seed and I'm not sure where I would get that here...we may have a lead on some eggs here...pssst hey pal! eggs on the black market. snort! So are we ready to start?

burning rubber literally aye? I know stupid stupid. It's funny that the Running down the dream is what was on the brain when I wrote Tom Petty...Don't come around here no more isn't bad either. I don't know the T. Rex but that's because I'm happily stuck in my time warp. How are we handling the holidays so far? We have a major egg shortage where I am and so I'm wondering how I will do some baking without eggs...might be a good thing?

I word to the wise! Be careful if you use a bike on a trainer with a mat underneath it! I had a wrinkle in the mat and didn't realize it and my rear tire burned a hole through my mat!

Exercise caution :-P

I like doing the treadmill to Juluka (Not really rock but classic) Tom Petty works really well....Old Boston, of course Queen! (going on and on and on)

The Winter Knockout Challenge

We’ll be dividing the people into teams if we get enough to join. This challenge will start probably next week...again depending on how many people join.

You’ll be able to get 30 points per day, a bit more if you workout more than once a day.
Here’s how:

1 point for every 5 minutes of cardio you do. Maximum 24 per day (what ever you receive as your sparkpoints).

Add 1 pt every time you do your workouts with music.

1 point (5 points maximum a week) for every new artist/band you discover. But really, hear their songs online, borrow a cd from a friend, do you have cable tv? They usually have free music videos.

1 point every time you participate in the Classic Rock team forums, send a message/comment to a fellow team member. (Maximum 2 points per day)

1 point for doing something good for yourself (2 points max per day). This is something that makes you feel good, or that you indulge in. No food though. Things like: reading a book, meditating, doing something nice for someone, dancing, styling your hair, smile at a stranger, dancing, having a good laugh. It’s really up to you to decide what’s good for you.

Keep track of your points here.

The layout can go something like this:

Monday
C (cardio)-
M (workout with music)-
D(discover new artist)-
P (participate in team)-
G(doing something good)-


I stole this idea from another team, the Dark Side of Sparkpeople (giving credit where credit is due), and just tweaked it up. I really want to get this team active more than anything.
