i make it a habit to go "one day at a time"(and, sometimes, "minute by minute", if that's what it takes)..today, i'm just happy that the sun is out & shining!..the humidity is lower then it's been for over a week!..
calories burned sounds great to me..this i can still do at home..where do i sign up?..i'm still adventurous enough to try (almost) anything once!

While it's snowing here I am still thinking towards Spring and Summer. I am going to have the quilt done by August and I still would like a challenge for summer. Since some have had some issues with outdoor activities how about we go with total calories burned from June 1 to August 31? With everyone who is going to participate in by May 31. I am getting excited about the nice weather. Hope you are all too.

Well I saved up to get a pool pass for the indoor pool and as of Feb 1 I am gonna do laps at least 5 days a week. I will also be able to take my son on Saturdays and Sundays and keep him moving. I gotta get back into working out. Being back on the board is motivating. Thanks everyone.

thanx, page for the zep..i don't think i've ever heard that song and i do have about 9CD's incl some "boots" my son burned for me..

pace-makers, my experience...1st u go for "studies"..angiogram, electrophysology, echograms and a few others..then they start u on coumadin & some GOD-awful med called sotalol, to see if it can be corrected /controlled by meds..that puts u in the hospital, in my case for 8 days....
then you find out u do need the pace-maker, so u stop the coumadin(they don't want u to bleed out on the gurney)..u r only in hospital for 2 days..when released, u can't lift anything over 2 lbs, can't lift ur arms over shoulder height, can't do laundry or house work for 8 weeks...u know, a real party..it took me more then a month to get used to the darned thingy..now i'll be on meds for the rest of my life..did i mention u can't go through the scanner at the airport?..you can't go to just any dentist because of the high speed drill used, which means more discomfort at the dentist's AND i'm still in fibrillation!now i'm must go for blood work every week, a test called INR, to check to make sure my blood isn't too thick or too thin due to the coumadin and for adjustments to the electrical current coursing through my heart and to make sure the damned thing is "fireing" correctly...but, then u think of the alternatives and it all seems worth it..oh well, cest la vie..

Well, tell me what a pace-maker is like. I don't know much about them. Do you feel it? Is it weird?

I didn't know you got a pace-maker. I feel like a contraption to help me sleep is nothing compared to that major life-changer, T!

That's why I love you guys! We are so supportive! We're a great team! We ROCK!!!

Well a pace maker is pretty serious. It being winter doesn't help.

jeez, ladies, we're all in the same boat, or so it seems...well, at least we're all in good company...i feel like i've been spending all my time between going to the lab for blood monitoring and being in the hospital, trying to regulate this friggin' heart pace-maker...ain't it a (b)itch?

A man at church went on the machine and lost 10 pounds due to getting a good nights sleep so I have no doubt it will help. I have hypothyroid too. I also had viral menninggitis after my son was born and I have a real hard time staying awake after 8pm with them both. Which would be great if not for the 3 years old, lol.

I have been awol myself until this month due to anxiety issues so nobody needs to feel bad.

Sounds like a good idea, Page. I have no ideas and I'm sorry I've been vacant so long. I blame holidays and trying to get well. I've been doing sleep study stuff for about 2 months it seems and just got verified for the CPAP mask but now may have insurance issues.

The good news is I'm now fitting into a size smaller jeans, for real, and it's only taken me 1 year to do it. Maybe once I get the alien looking breathing mask (CPAP) and can get a quality sleep I might actually start losing weight again. That's the hope. Doc says I stop breathing like 8 times and hour! Whoa! No wonder I feel so freakin' tired all the time!

I must mention I have low-thyroid or Hypo-thyrodism and High Blood Pressure and these also contribute to my issues. Stupid issues. I'm so tired most days it's amazing I can function through the day. My limbs feel heavy and it's cumbersome to do simple activities sometimes. I feel fortunate to be a very driven individual otherwise I may just give into the tired and become a lazy unproductive couch potato but I push myself because that's just what we do in my family.

Forgive me, my wonderful Rock Friends, for not being around much. I'll try and pop in more. I've missed you guys, too. Sometimes my little Crab personality just wants to hide in the rock with my big claw sticking out protecting the door. I come out sometimes and climb on the big rock and wave, though.

emoticon

Sorry to bore you with all my stuff but thanks for listening. I can't promise anything now, Page, but if things go will who knows what will happen next month. For now I will commit to gearing up on the treadmill again for it's so cold right now I can't imagine doing outside stuff.

Rock on Team!

I am willing once summer gets here I can get back to 30 minuts of bike riding each evening.

Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance. Remember Dance like no one is watching! And Always Dance in the Puddles.

We have three quilts we are working on that must be done by May. That means if I start a new quilt for the team I can have it done by end of August. I would like to see us do a challenge for summer that involved outdoor activities/calories burned kinda thing if you are all into it. Put down some ideas and whether or not you all would be interested. I will be making the quilt different from the first one so it will be unique.
