ok, one more story....you guys must think I am loco...anyway a couple of years ago DH and another couple are in ST Marteen. The guys decided to go to the Orient Beach, Ok Mary and I will go the beach... They didn't tell us part of it is a nude beach. We get there and we are sun bathing in the clothing optional area, all four of us in our swim suits. emoticon Well there is this one guy...all he has on is a backpack. We are talking and chuckling about the tan lines he will have. After a few beers, it dawned on us that every time he walked in front of us....his hands were busy emoticon Finally our guys decided they wanted to walk down to the nude part. About ten minutes latter they came back (still fully clothed) and by this time Mary and I had to go potty. They guys told us to go down to where they were, there was a restaurant and thought there would be a bathroom there. So we walk down there...everybody in the restaurant is sitting there naked, but had the good sense to have napkins on their laps. That stuck me funny, don't know really why... emoticon While we were in the bathroom after I quit laughing, I had to ask Mary, where did they keep their money and credit cards? We finally got back to our guys....But take it from me. The only thing we saw at the nude beach was every thing you NEVER wanted to see. emoticon

You could have still taken those pills. The main ingredient in lotion is water. So you have your water and with the other ingredients in lotion, I'm sure the pills would have just slid right on down your throat.

Couple of years ago, we took our Grandson on a Disney cruise. We had stayed at Disney world before the cruise and I just kind of threw things into my suitcase. When I unpacked on the ship, I found all of my pills in a pile of hand lotion in the bottom of my overnight bag. So I thought, I would just have to do the best I could. One of my pills I couldn't take was my anti-depressants. So here I am on a DIsney ship and every time I saw Mickey or Minnie or anyone of the costumes I would get so emotional I would cry. I knew what was going on, so I am laughing and crying at the same time. I am leaving the ship for the last time and Mickey and Minnie are there telling everyone goodbye and here I am crying. I know they thought I was a nut.

My sister and I were in Grand Cayman. We had just spent the day on our excursion and had a wonderful time. We went back to the port so we could get in line for the tender. The line was the HUGEST line I've ever seen. I swear it was at least two miles long. I think there were two other ships besides ours that day and it seemed like everyone was trying to get back to their ship all at once. WoW!

Well, after we walked what seemed like forever to get to the back of the line. We decided that we needed something to drink because after the walk to the end and with the heat...we were pretty thirsty. So I stayed in line and my sister walked to go fetch us a drink. The line wasn't moving that fast at all. But I kept our place in line and kept inching up.

With what seemed like forever, my sister returned with the drinks. I'll never forget, she had this hat on that was made out of jean material and the brim of it hung down so she kinda had to lift her head up so she could see under it to scan the people standing in the line in order to find me. There were literally thousands of people so it must have been like trying to find a needle in a haystack.

Ok, so she hands me my diet coke and she says "Uhh, it's a little dirty!" I said that it was ok, wiped it off, opened it and took a big swig. Ahhh! So I look at my sister and I notice that she has this dried spanish moss looking stuff and dirt all over her shirt. I say to her "what the heck is all that?" She proceeds to tell me this...

She got the drinks and she was walking down through and looking at all of the people in the line trying to find me and all of the sudden she tripped. She had tripped over some tree roots that were sticking out of the ground. Well, she did a belly flop and her hat flew off her head and the diet cokes went rolling out of her beach bag. The whole line of people who saw her fall all went "Oooooo" in unison! So she quickly got up, all the while some old lady who was three times her age was helping her. She said she was so embarrassed that she just picked up her hat and the cokes, thanked the lady and took off. She said she didn't even notice the crap on her shirt until I had said something.

I was laughing so hard I darn near pee'd my pants. She was laughing hysterically too and she was having a hard time spitting out the story. AND the people in line around us probably thought we were on crack!

That is a memory that I will NEVER forget!

On our first cruise we went to the Captain's party in the lounge. We thought…hell yeah, free drinks!...so we went.

(This first part of the story is not funny by the way, it's what I said at the end of the story that's funny to me)

Well all of the sudden there was this commotion on the other side of the lounge. Some guy collapsed! He had a heart attack and some lady was doing CPR on him. They asked if anyone else knew CPR that could help her and asked everyone else to leave the room. WOW! It was traumatic! A couple hours later they had to land a helicopter on top of the ship in order to fly the guy out to a hospital, so I am assuming that he lived, at least I hope so.

A couple of days later, late in the evening, there was an announcement over the loud speaker: "Code 5 in Cabin number whatever"…I don't remember the cabin number now. So that next night we are sitting at the dinner table and one of our table mates says "did you hear them call a Code 5 last night?" We were like yeah, what was that all about? So he says that he overheard someone saying that they were going to remove the body at the next port when we stop tomorrow. So sad!!! We were all freaked out at the thought of the dead body being on the ship with us though.

It was all quiet at the table...so then I say "oh man, I don't think that I can eat this meat now." Everyone was all looking at me like what the heck are you talking about?!?! So then I said "what if they had to put the body in the refrigerator next to my meat?!?! That's just gross". So then everyone starts laughing. I was just saying it to be funny…I ate the meat. Hehe

I was on a Regent cruise with my sister. We dressed up every night for dinner and the maitred (sp) always flirted with us. One night he asked us for our room number. The next morning we rec'd a dinner invitation to sit at the 2nd guy (can't remember the title) table which was next to the captains table. There were two other couples and a couple other officers. It was a perfect mix, we had an amazing time, at that time regent had free wine at dinner but still had to pay for drinks and champagne. They were pouring Veuve champagne at our table. We were laughing and talking and drinking all night, we were the last ones to leave (and then we took the party to the bar)
The next day, apparently the officer at our table kinda got in trouble -- they said it was because the staff was waiting around to clean up after us but I think it was because our table was more fun than the captains table!

This year on our cruise, we got our invitation to the Captains cocktail party, but we had already made other plans. So I asked DH what he thought would happen if I wrote the Captain a short note explaining we couldn't come, but he would be welcome to come to our cabin for beer and nachos the night after....

Several years ago, DH, and two other couples from our town went on a cruise together. One couple was 17 years older than Dh and I and the other couple was 17 years younger. We use to always meet at this bar on the ship, it was centrally located. We would laugh and joke and have a few drinks. The bartender loved us. Any way it got back to the Captain of the ship about these three couples that were have the time of their lives. One night the Captain showed up. Here is this Well mannered English Ship Captain, and before you know it, Captain Steve was laughing and joking, and buying us drinks, and we were buying him drinks. Before you know it, He was getting just as hammered as we were. After he left us, the bartender told us never to do that again. Mean while, all the time the captain was there, the crew was busy cleaning and polishing everything behind the bar so they wouldn't get into trouble. emoticon

Everytime I come back from a cruise, it seems like I have a funny story or two to share with my family and friends. I thought it would be great if we had a spot where we could share some of those funny stories.

I'll start:
On this particular evening on the ship it was formal night. Everyone was dressed up in their best. After dinner, my sister and I decided to go back to our room and mix up a drink before we went to the show. As we were walking back to our room we passed an empty janitor's cart. I think it was one that they put buckets on or something because it was rather low to the ground. Anyways, I told my sister to hop on...so she sat down in her long gown and off we went. I started running with the cart, moving as fast as I could for a fat girl in high heels. We were laughing and having a good ole time...the next thing we know we hear a voice hollering "hey, hey, I need that"...it was our room steward. We stopped quick and ditched the cart all the while laughing our butts off back to our room. The room steward came down the hall and retrieved his cart. I'm sure he could hear us still laughing and carrying on inside our room. Awh...fun times! emoticon
