OK. Back again. Points are turned in.If I had bothered to read Cathy's post all the way I would have had my answer emoticon Oh, well...sorry about that!

Today was an easy day. About the only thing I did, really, was walk with my daughter to & from school. But it's good exercise. Tomorrow I do that again and then I need to mow the lawn. All this rain has made it grow like crazy!

Amanda, that's good news about your watch. I hope you get some better sleep tonight. And good job on meeting all your goals! Good news about your husband getting stitches out. It's not going to heal properly if he doesn't follow orders! I can honestly say I have never heard of rolled ice cream.

Cathy, where did you order your leggings from? Measurements are something I don't do, either. I really should and I know it's more reliable than the scale. I should make that a goal, also.

CJ, I hope your pain gets better as time goes on. emoticon Take care of yourself!

Well, I need to get going! Have a good evening!

Good Evening Dreamers! Today has been a pretty good day. Milking was better this morning. I talked to Samsung about my watch, they said I can wait a few days or as long as I want to send my watch in. They will have everything on file, they will just have to send me another UPS label and that's not a problem, they said. I rather wait to see what its going to do. I have been wearing both my fitbit (I got it working after doing a hard reset on it) and my Galaxy watch to compare them, Fitbit is a little higher in my steps and calories I burn(now that the galaxy watch is back to normal), but I always though fitbit over estimated my steps. I can just sit on the couch and swing my arm or pet my cat and I get steps, where as on the galaxy watch, I dont. Also when I go walk, the fitbit says a burn a lot more calories than the galaxy watch. But I compared them both to SP and a couple other sites and the Galaxy watch is a lot closer to those.
I went on a little over 2 mile walk tonight, my nutrition and water are good! Im tired tonight, as I didn't sleep well last night again.

Cathy- Your birds sound like they are a lot of fun! It be a lot different having birds at pets, as Ive always had cats! I dont think having 7 cats and birds would go well together though. Im always horrible about doing measurements, I know I should as it can show more than just the scale, but Im horrible at keeping up with it. Maybe ill make that a goal to do this week!

CJ- I hope your pain is better! And that you had a good day!

Michele- Hope you had a good day. I can turn points in this week or next week, it doesnt matter to me. Ill try to come on later and check to see which week you want to do.

Hello Dreamer Friends!

The birds like to have breakfast with us so we brought them downstairs with us. Daffy really likes oatmeal and peep hates it because it's messy and he doesn't like anything to get all over his beak, lol He likes to eat turkey bacon though. Then we brought them back upstairs to my office so they can go tear up the inside of their boxes, nap and repeat while listening to music. I received one pair of my new leggings today before I left to go to my training session at the Y. I really LOVE my new leggings. They are much thicker than the Danskin ones I have. i'm really happy with them and will most likely end up buying more.

I walked to the Y and had my training session. She had me doing a couple of new exercises. I'm so glad I got some Epsom salt the other day at the store. It really does help with the soreness. She's going to measure me on Wednesday when we meet. She noticed and I've noticed that my legs are definitely stronger than when we met. i'm looking forward to seeing what my measurements are.

CJ - I'm so sorry you've been in so much pain. It's great you've been keeping up with drinking your water and stretching though. It's also good that you've been sleeping when you can.
I'm glad to hear Stephanie's interview with Salem school district went well and has an online interview for the school district since and they have several openings.
That's good news about her being transferred to the Justice building and that she'll have a job until she can get a job elsewhere.
Take care of yourself!
I'm happy to hear that the pain is less intense. i'm sorry the change in the weather has been affecting you so much as well. I understand how being in pain is exhausting and that it's left you cranky and tired. I know what that is like. No need to be sorry about whining. We've all been there atone time or another.

Michele - Sorry you had another round of really bad storms last night. Glad to hear there wasn't any damage this time though.
Wow, that's a shame that so many tress were down and that one tree had been uprooted. Good work going to the gym in addition to walking Amber to and from school.
Oh my, I can't believe it took so long for Glen to get into MI. Geez, it sounds like they really do need to book him on United instead of American.
I have a case for my phone I got from Amazon that also holds your credit cards, driver's license, etc. It also folds over the top of it and has a magnetic clasp on it. I'll give you the recipe for killing weeds tomorrow since it's so late.
We don't have kids so our pets are our kids. :) I really like taking the Melatonin and the great thing is that it's natural. I'd start with the 3mg one and just take one to see how you feel the next day. The 5mg one really knocks you out but then you feel like you've been drugged the next day You're welcome and I hope it works for you!

Amanda - I'm glad that things weren't as tense this morning while milking the cows. i hope your husband will listen to the doctor and rest his wrist more. Glad he got the stitches out and the cast off. i tend to agree with you about keeping the ACE bandage on. IHOP doesn't have many healthy options. It's good to treat yourself now and then. I've never heard or seen rolled ice cream. Good work with your exercise and water.
I'm sorry you couldn't get your watch fixed at Best Buy. I think maybe you should send it to Samsung to see if there is anything wrong with it.
I did have a busy day yesterday. My training session today (Monday) went well. If you or Michele can do the points for this week and next, it would really help me out. Just send me the total, average and names of people who participated.

Hello Friends - I'm doing a bit better. The hardest part of fibromyalgia is that it affects my whole body. The good news is that the pain is less intense. I know the weather affects me a lot - especially when the changes are rapid like we've had the last few weeks. Since I can't control it - I need to adapt. Frankly - I have to admit that I've been tired and cranky the last few days. It gets exhausting having to keep adjusting and not being able to do what I've planned.
emoticon That's enough whining. I just wanted you to know that I live a "real" life - don't we all : )

Good Evening Dreamers! Today was an ok day. Milking cows was a little tense this morning, but not as bad as I thought it would be. I think everyone is right, I think my husband is just frustrated he cant do much. He had a DR appointment today, and his hand and wrist are really swollen and the DR told him, he has to be resting it and cant overdo it. He got the one cast off, and the took the stitches out. Then they put another ace bandage one and he kinda like an arm brace on. He can take it off to get a shower, and to work on some simple hand exercises. Also when he puts ice on it. They said its up to him whether he leaves the ace bandage on after 48 hours, I think he should keep putting it on though to help the swelling. But who knows if he will actually listen to me.
My nutrition is ok today. We ate lunch out and went to IHOP, they really dont have many options for people eating healthy. I ended up getting a grilled chicken sandwich, it was around 650 calories. I wanted fruit with it, but they brought me out fries, but I didn't eat them, They were busy so it wasn't worth saying anything over. Then we went to the mall, to go to best buy for help with my watch, however they aren't there anymore, but we got rolled ice cream. It was very interesting. It was a nice treat that Im not going to feel guilty over, because treats like that are ok once in awhile. I had chocolate banana rolled ice cream. It was interesting how they made it! Has anyone ever had it or seen it? My water and exercise are both good.
My watch seems to be fine today, im going to see what it does in the morning. Im going to call Samsung and see what they say. Im thinking maybe I should just send it out for them to look at to make sure its ok. But I will see what they say.

Michele- You have been getting a lot of bad storms! We have had some rain and storms today too. No bad storms but the last thing we need is more rain.

CJ- Sorry you have been in so much pain. I hope it gets better soon!

Cathy- Sounds like you had a busy day! Hope your session with your trainer goes well tomorrow,

Is anyone doing points this week? I can do them this week or next, if needed.

Good evening, everyone!
We had another round of super bad storms last night. No damage this time. But walking to the school this morning, there were trees down everywhere. One yard even had a tree uprooted! And the creek at the park was very high with running water.
So I walked Amber to school both in the morning and again in the afternoon. I also went to the gym this morning for chest, tricep & shoulder work.
Oh, Glen never made it to MI til 4:30am. Originally he should have been there at about 9pm. He was late taking off from here to Dallas. Then Dallas his flight was initially cancelled, then delayed due to mechanical problems. Then they said to go ahead and board and they sat there for an hour or so and told everyone to get off, there would be another plane soon. 11:47pm they finally take off. His company really needs to book him on United. There's only American & United that fly out of here, and they're just 'puddle-jumpers'.

CJ, congrats to Stephanie! Working in the Justice Dept sounds exciting! Sorry you haven'[t been well! I hope you feel better soon!

Cathy, Amber & I bought cases for our phones off of Amazon last night. The notification said we should have them by Friday. I also ordered the glass screen protectors -- I can't stand the fingerprints & smudges! Oh, oh! Give me that recipe of the homemade concoction for weeds, please! I love the way you talk about your birds -- like kids. Cleaning their cage, putting them to bed, bathing them. It's cute! I love it! I might just get off the prescription and start taking melatonin. I know our grocery store carries them. I'll give it a shot tomorrow. Thanks!

Have a good evening!

Michele

emoticon Yes, I am here. It's been a blurry last few days - but things are beginning to calm down. I've been in a lot of pain - there could be lots of causes - I just know almost everything hurts right now. The one thing I've been consistent with is drinking water and stretching. I sleep whenever I can.

Stephanie is still doing job applications. Her interview at the Salem middle school went well - she now has an online interview for the Salem school district - they have several openings. Salem is about 30 miles south of where we live - but it is a very crowded commute so it can take over an hour.

Also the news about her job with the county = they will transfer her to the Justice building - working in the pre-trial department. That will begin in July. It's nice to know she has a job until something else materializes.

Hello Dreamer Friends!

Today was a busy day! I emptied the birds' seed dishes that are in my office and put it outsdie for the outdoor birds. I also filled the bird feeder hanging from the flowering crabtree outside the kitchen window with more seed. After breakfast we gave the birds their weekly bath. While Randy bathed them I vacuumed and Randy finished while I wiped down their cages. After we let them out Randy mowed the backyard and I bought a few things on Amazon. I made up a homemade concoction to kill the weeds growing up in the rocks in the front yard and in the cracks of the cement in the driveway. then I repotted my poinsettia as it was starting to look kind of bad. I'm hoping that it well help. I started to make supper but then it was time to put the birds to bed. I'm finishing up supper now.

Tomorrow afternoon I'll be meeting with my trainer. Not sure if she'll take mesurements or not. I did do some walking around the house to get some walking in. I'll probably walk to the Y tomorrow. I'll have to see how I feel after my training session as to whether I walk home or not. Randy is working from home this week.

Amanda - I'm sorry there is so much drama going on with your husband and nephew. it sounds like he's frustrated with what's going on with his wrist and is taking it out on your nephew. i hope he realizes what he's doing and sill stop doing it. I can understand how it would make you feel uncomfortable. I know you don't really feel comfortable around your in-laws anyway so I can definitely see how it would make you feel anxious.
Good work with your nutrition, water and exercise! I'm sorry you are having problems with your Samsung watch again. It sounds like maybe you just got a defective watch. I'm glad that whatever AT&T did seemed to help. I'd give it another day or two to see how it does. You might want to go ahead and return it anyway to get it fixed or have them give you a replacemtn watch.
I slept better last night and felt better today. it took me a while before I felt not so tired. My mom had a hysterectomy because of fibroid tumors. It was really difficult for her because they didn't give her replacement hormones right away. It souns like you didn't have any choice but to have a hysterectomy. I too hope my friend doesn't end up having to get a hysterectomy.

Michele - Sorry Glen's flight was delayed and then delayed again in dallas. Your right, his company needs to book him on another airline since American is always late. I'm glad you enjoy your walks with Amber to school. It is definitely good exercise. I imagine you enjoy spending a little more time with Amber too. I'll be going to the gym to for ST.
Ha, if I could send the weather we're having to you I would. I know about not liking taking them because of how you feel the next day. It's like you can't really concentrate. You might want to try taking some Melatonin but not with the sleeping pills. We get some at Walmart, Target or most major grocery store chain. We get some made by Vitafusion. It's a gummy that you chew up. We've tried many other brands and the Vitafusion works the best. Just a suggestion... :)

CJ and Lisa - We miss you and hope you are doing well.

emoticon emoticon , Karen! I've done that a lot, too, before I caught myself halfway through! emoticon on making your goal!

My points for the week are: 2,377

We got Glen to his plane here. We got to the airport and it was delayed an hour. He finally left about 4:30. Then he gets to Dallas. His plane there was supposed to leave at 5:35. He's STILL waiting. He said there's a pretty bad storm going on there. But he's supposed to be at work at 5:30. At this rate, he'll still be on the plane at 5:30. So he called his boss here who will call the boss there to let him know what's going on. His company needs to book him on United next time. American is getting ridiculous--they are ALWAYS late for one reason or another.
Tomorrow I get to walk to school with Amber in the morning & again in the afternoon. I'm actually looking forward to it, too. It's a good walk, good exercise. Then I need to go to the gym, get my ST in.

Amanda, sorry about all the drama! Could be because your husband is frustrated that he can't do much right now. Hopefully, things will calm down when he's healed. emoticon emoticon on making your goals! You're doing emoticon Sorry to hear about your watch. That has to be so frustrating! I'd send it back while it's still under warranty. Since they told you to return it, and you don't, they could void the warranty. Just my opinion.

Cathy, send that weather here! As for melatonin, no. My doctor has me on low dose sleeping pill. I don't take it most times simply because I wake up...not feeling right. That's the best I know how to put it. Like I really need to concentrate on what I;m doing. Just weird. i hope you get some good sleep tonight!

I need to get to bed!
Have a good night!

Michele

Good Evening Dreamers! Its been a long day! Milking this morning was rough..Im not sure whats going on with my husband, but hes been really hard on his nephew. Just because his nephew does something differently than him or my husband doesnt think hes doing something wrong or the way my husband thinks it should be done, he yells or just gives his nephew attitude for no reason. I said something to my husband the other day about it after I seen it for the 2nd or 3rd day, then today it got worse and his brother heard everything and that didn't go over well. My brother in law got mad and yelled at my husband. I agree with my brother in law on it all. There was no reason for it for what my husband did. But it all just makes milking really stressful for me. I already dont feel comfortable being there for so many reasons. I dont really mind milking and helping out, but I just dont feel comfortable and it makes me anxious. Especially the last couple week. When I tried talking to my husband the other day about what hes doing, he just got upset with me. Hopefully after today, he will knock it off and things will get better, but Im sure things will be tense atleast the next couple days.
My nutrition, fitness and water are all good today. I went on over an hour walk. Im over 10,000 steps again today! Im having problems with my Samsung watch again, I talked to Samsung today and I have to send it out to get it fixed. Before I talked to Samsung, I talked to AT&T and they did something to it on their end, and now it seems to be working better, so im not sure if I should send it out or now. It weird now it seems to be working like it should ever since I talked to Samsung. In a way its really frustrating. Im going to see what it does tomorrow. I thought the Samsung watch would be better, but with all these problems, im regretting getting it. Maybe I just have a watch that has defective, and that's why im having so many problems. To send it out and get fixed, I wont have it for about 2 weeks.

Cathy- Sorry you are so tired! Having a hysterotomy was scary, but I was in so much pain, it was the only answer for me. Plus once they did a biopsy, they found some abnormal cells, that were possibly precancerous so then that was really my only answer. I hope that's not what your friend ends up needing. I hope you get some rest tonight!

Michele- Im glad you got your phones figured out! And you both get to keep them! I have ATT, I think no matter what they are all expensive. ATT has the best service in out area, we have been with them for over 12 years. I just upgraded my phone last month, so my bill will go up a little bit too.

CJ and Lisa- I hope you both are doing well!

Hello Dreamers!

I'm going to make this short because I'm really tired! I got a lot more sleep last night but I'm pretty tired. After I ate breakfast Randy took me over to the Y so I could exercise. Shortly after I got home from the Y we went to the grocery store to pick up some groceries. Had to put the birds to bed and then I took a bath and had leftovers from last night. It was chilly this afternoon. It was only in the mid 60's maybe. Then it rained which made it even colder! My nutrition has been pretty good today but I haven't eaten much. i don't plan on going anywhere tomorrow except for maybe Lowe's or the Home Depot.
I think the weather combined with allergies is kid of making me tired. Along with finally getting settled into our house. My friend and I had a good time on Friday. I too hope she gets answers about her heavy and prolonged periods. She has been cramping lately and she said she doesn't normally cramp. I have a feeling she might have fibroid tumors. i know she wishes her periods were done with but I'm not sure if she would like the idea of having a hysterectomy.
Oh man, sorry to hear your husband is going to have such a long recovery time especially since there seems to be so much that needs to be done on the farm. WOOHOO, great job on losing more weight!

Michele - Glad you got the shed cleaned out. Great news that you and Amber were able to keep your phones, got discounts on them, took the tablet off and your old phone taken off too. $250 is way more reasonable! I need to take some apps off of my phone. Sorry Glen has to leave to go to Michigan again.
Thanks, I too hope everything turns out well for my friend. It does sounds painful and I think it must be since she keeps taking Motrin. Most of the time I don't have problems sleeping especially since I take Melatonin before going to bed. When I try to take a nap though, I'm not always able to sleep even if I'm super tired! Have you tried taking Melatonin?

CJ and Lisa - I hope both of you are doing well! Goodnight friends!!

Ha! This is totally Randy in the mornings! lol

Good evening, everyone!
Today we cleaned out the shed. What a job that was! But we now have considerably more room. YAY for that!
And Amber & I kept our phones. Our sales person managed to get Amber & I discounts on our phones, took the tablet off and my old phone was taken off the bill as well. He didn't know my old phone was still on the bill. So, all that reduced our bill to just under $250. Immensely better! So this evening I explored my phone, deleted some pre-installed apps (sports, games), loaded Nook & Kindle.
Glen leaves tomorrow 3pm for Michigan. So we need to be at the airport by 1pm. He'll be there til Saturday.

Amanda, emoticon on the loss! emoticon You're doing great! Our cell phone is Verizon. I was with T-Mobile for years and perfectly happy with them. Then my husband went to the mall and wandered into Verizon and saw a Pixel he really liked. Next thing I know he switched us.

Cathy, I hope all turns out well for your friend. Sounds painful! Love that cartoon. That's me most nights, too. Or I'll sleep for a couple hours and then I'm up --wide awake & no where to go. I get a lot of reading done, tho.

I hope everyone is well.
Have a good evening!

Michele

Good Afternoon Dreamers! Its been a lazy day today, but I plan on going on a walk later. Its a beautiful day for a walk here! Im trying to get more water in today since it was a little low yesterday. My nutrition is ok today so far. Today was weigh in day, Im down almost 3 pounds this week!

Cathy- Sorry you got to bed late last night. Ive been really tired lately too, despite getting to bed at a decent time. But I guess I do get up at 4 am every day. Ive just been unusually tired. I hope you had a good day with your friend. I hope your friend gets answers about her heavy periods and I imagine pain. I used to have a lot of problems like that, I ended up being diagnosed with Uterine Fibroids and have to have a hysterotomy about 5 years ago. I sure hope your friend doesnt have anything like that or anything major going on. The doctor said my husband would have a 2 to 3 month recovery time.

Michele- Sorry you lost everything from your old phone. I hope you and Amber both like your new phones. The new phones can be expensive, I hope you get everything figured out. Who is your cell phone company? We only canceled his debit card and we should have it within a few days.

CJ- Hope you and Stephanie are doing well!

Lisa- hope you are doing good!

Hello Delightful Dreamers!

Once again, we went to bed late and got up early! We're both at fault and we've simply got to get our act together because I simply can't keep doing this. I've felt so exhausted and lightheaded all week. My friend showed up around 9 and the we went to Panera bread to get something to eat. I had a spinach, egg white, avocado and cheese on a sprouted grain bun. I also had a cold brew vanilla cream coffee. The sandwhich was good but kind of messy because the avocado kept trying to slide off as you bite into the sandwhich. The drink was just okay. Afterwards we headed over to the vintage market. There were a lot of vendors but nothing really interested me except for one thing. it was a piece of screen stretched on a frame and painted on. i found one with a vase of hydrangeas or something like that. They wanted more money for it thought than I was willing to pay. I know many people don't put much value on art but it was still a lot more than I was willing to pay. My friend bought a table runner for her farm table. She's really into antiques. She and her husband own what used to be a farm owned by a family that settled here many years ago. Anyway, most of the stuff we saw was signs that people had made and clothes. None of the clothes were even cute and there were many vendors selling signs. they had some other unique things there but nothing that interested me. I think I got around 4,000 steps while there though. She brought me home around noon. She's been having a lot of heavy bleeding during her periods and she's been bleeding pretty much non-stop for more than a month. She had a pelvic ultrasound and a PET scan yesterday. She was hoping to hear back from the doctor today but i was sure she probably wouldn't hear anything until next week. She decided to go home and put a heating pad on her stomach and try to take a nap. I made a healthy salad for lunch with tuna and fresh spinach.

Randy came home early from work and we tried to nap. I started to fall asleep but then my body said "Nope, you aren't gonna nap!". lol A little later after Randy got up we were going to go for a walk but it started to rain so we went to the mall to do some walking. Came home and put the birds to bed. We went to a restaurant called Heart of Jerusalem. We didn't realize until we were talking with a fried that they have 2 locations here. We'd only been to the one on the west side but they have another one that's in the shopping center next to the high school I went to that's not far from here. We both a gyro sandwich and some sage tea. The sage tea is really good.

I weighed myself this morning and my weight was the same. I was a little bummed but my clothes are fitting better so I still feel like I'm doing well. Also, my stomach was a little upset this morning. I think my stomach being upset, headaches all week, my weight being the same and feeling lightheaded is all due to not getting enough sleep.

Amanda - Glad you were able to get some groceries today, took a nap and went for a walk this evening! Yay for no rain today! Good work with your nutrition, water and your steps! I wish I could have napped today. i understand about your BIL being super busy since your husband isn't able to do much. If he doesn't put air conditioners in his house then he wouldn't think to ask if you guys needed help putting your air conditioner up. How long did the doctor say it would be before your husband could use his hand/wrist?

Michele - That's good to hear that Amber's doctor appointment went well. Darn, that suchs you lost most all of your photos, contacts and calendar. Oh, that sounds like fun kayaking on the lake! Crap, that's not good about your new phone bill being almost as much as your mortgage! That's not right! I hope you get things sorted out with the bill. Something isn't right about you still being billed for your old phone AND a tablet that you paid off 4 months ago.
I did have a good time with my realtor friend! We both just talk non-stop it seems. lol Three of the bathrooms are full. The bathroom on the main floor is in with the washer and dryer but there is a door that can close off the washer and dryer. It's just a sink and toilet. The bathroom in the basement rarely gets used at the moment. We don't really have anything in the basement except for a mattress on the floor in the bedroom down there for anyone who stays with us. eventually we'll get a bed for down there. We also have our Total Gym and my inversion table down there. I'm not sure what we're going to do with the Total Gym. Randy uses it but eventually he's going to join the Y. The bathroom downstairs doesn't have a tub but it has a big tiled shower. I don't clean it unless it's been used or if it's been cleaned and no one's used it but needs to be cleaned lightly before anyone stays with us. So, I only have 2 full bathrooms to clean and 1 partial one most of the time.

CJ - I hope your internet isn't down again and that you are alright.

Lisa - I hope you are doing alright, as well.

Yep, this was me this afternoon!

Good evening, everyone!
And what a day! Amber had her doctor's appt and that was fine.
Then we went get me a new phone. I chose a G7 ThinQ. It's the phone ZI've been wanting. Then we find out that Amber was eligible for an upgrade. She chose a MotoZ something. Everything was great! Nothing from my old phone, except a few photos, came through. So I did lose it all. That's OK, tho.
After that we took the kayaks to the lake and spent the afternoon there. Had a great time! It was way too windy, tho. Winds were about 20mph & we were being thrown everywhere! So we gave that up and just went swimming.
Then when we got home I thought I'd jump on the 'puter and see how much our new phone bill was going to be. Boy, THAT was a mistake. Our new bill will be almost as much as our mortgage! emoticon BUT, when I went digging into the bill a bit more, I saw we were still being billed for my old phone AND a tablet that we paid off 4 months ago. So we need to go tomorrow and find out what's going on. I may be giving up my phone cuz no way are we paying THAT much! Amber needs her phone and Glen needs his phone. I don't need a phone yet, really. Not that badly. So we'll see what happens tomorrow.

Amanda, emoticon on getting those steps in You go, girl! And emoticon for finding hubby's wallet. Big relief, I bet. Can he just get all his cards re-instated or does he have to wait for new ones?

Cathy, did you have a good time with your realtor? 4 bathrooms? WOW! All full baths? "Fun cleaning? NOT emoticon

Well, let me get going! Have a good evening!

Hello Dreamers! Today I went grocery shopping, then came home and took a nap. This evening I took a walk! It was a beautiful day here today, We actually didn't have any rain today and it was blue skies and sunny for the first time in weeks! My nutrition and water is good! I got over 10,000 steps today for the first time in a long time!

Cathy- Great job on the walk! It must have been a good day for a naps! I took a nice long nap this afternoon! Yes, its such a huge relief finding his wallet! I dont think my BIL usually puts air conditioners in his house, so he probably didn't think about it and hes really busy. He has double the work to do on the farm, with my husband not being able to do much, so its really no big deal. That's more important. They still have a lot to do this year. Its supposed to be cooler and lower humidity this weekend and more rain next week.

I hope everyone else had a great day!

Hello Delightful Dreamers!

I'm really tired tonight so I'm going to "attempt" to make this short. Went to bed late and got up early to go to water walking this morning. I walked there, did my water walking. Randy was working from home again today and he walked to meet me as I was walking back. I took about an hour's nap until Randy and the birds both woke me up. Got up and made lunch. A little later I cleaned 3 of the 4 bathrooms. I didn't clean the one in the basement since we haven't used it since the last time I cleaned it. I did forget to clean the tub in our bathroom so I'll clean it tomorrow and vacuum when I get back from going to the vintage market with my friend tomorrow morning. She is a realtor and has to be back in the afternoon to show some houses to clients. So, I'll have fun in the morning and come back to the house to have even more fun cleaning. lol

CJ - How are your burns doing? Have you been able to get out for walks lately?

Amanda - Gosh, it's so scary to lose your wallet. I lost my driver's license last month and found it like a week or so later after I had already renewed my driver's license. It's good that he canceled his debit card but it's a shame you didn't find his wallet before canceling his debit card. That's quite a bit of money that nearly lost too. He's right that there's nothing that can be done and stressing or worrying about it doesn't help.
Sorry you dinner wasn't healthy because you and your hubby couldn't find his wallet. At least you got some veggies with your dinner.
It's a huge relief that you found your husband's wallet!
It is an awesome compliment from my trainer! Sorry your husband's dad can't lift the air conditioner and I understand that he doesn't want to bother his brother with it. Still, his brother should have thought to ask. I hope you can hold out until your sister and BIL come so that your BIL can put it up for both of you.

Michele - So sorry you got hit with a bad thunderstorm and really bad winds! Oh my gosh! Wow, I'm so glad the tree didn't hit your house and that no one was injured!! That's a lot of work to do with a pole saw! It's hard work too. Yes, that is most certainly a lot of effort in 101 degress.
Oh man, that would not make me happy to have those supersonic planes fly over. We experienced that a few times here too when we lived in the southern part of the city. Glad you haven't heard one in a long time.
I too am glad I got my updated exercise list. I hope Amber's doctor's appointment goes well and you end up getting a phone you like tomorrow.

Lisa - I hope you are doing alright.

I found my husbands wallet! It was such a relief finding it. He had more money than he though in it, he had around $200 in it, which isn't like him, he usually doesnt carry that much cash on him. But thankfully its found!

Michele- Sounds like that was a crazy storm! that sounds like a lot of work in that hot weather! It sounds like you have been getting a lot of rain too, that's all its been doing here is raining. my sister in PA has got even more rain than me the last several days, her basement is flooded and her driveway looks like a creek! We are finally supposed to have some nice weather the next few days before more rain next week. Its no where near as hot here as it is for you. Its been is the low to mid 80s here- but with how muggy and humid its been, its been miserable some days. Some days are bad without the AC some are, depends on how humid it is.

Cathy-That's an awesome compliment from your trainer! My husbands dads cant lift the air conditioner, and he doesnt want tp bother his brother with it. His brother has been really busy with my husband not being to do much. If it gets too hot my husband can ask one of his friends or my sister and BIL will be coming in a couple weeks, and he should be able to put it in.

CJ- hope you had a good day

Good evening, everyone!
What a day this was!Oh my goodness!
About an hour after my last post here last night we got hit with a huge thunderstorm and horrible winds! It came out of nowhere! Along with things in the backyard being tossed around, a tree came down. From the people behind us. It missed our house by inches. It landed on the shed & in the yard. And it half landed on my elderly neighbors' shed, the one who I mow her lawn.
So, Glen took off a half day of work, borrowed a pole cutter from a guy at work. And we got to work. And work it was. WOW! It was a good 2 1/2 hrs before we were done.. Most of the tree I hauled out to the front curb for pickup on Tuesday. I have 4 days to get the rest of it out there. It is not easy work! Way too much effort in 101 degrees.

Amanda, have you found his wallet yet? I'm like your husband, tho. Cancel everything & hope that it's found eventually. Stuff happens! But I do hope he finds it soon!

Cathy, I remember when I first moved here Ft. Hood had what I guess you could call supersonic planes. They fly those things and a few seconds would follow a loud BOOM. I'd swear they were dropping bombs. But I haven't heard those in a LONG time. Hopefully tonight you'll get some good sleep and feel much better in the morning. Glad you finally got that updated exercise list.

Well, let me get going. Got a few things to do.
Amber doesn't have school tomorrow but she does have a 10am doctor appt and then we're going phone shopping. emoticon

Good Afternoon Dreamers! Today has been a long day, and Im really tired today! My husband and I were going to go to the store but he couldn't find his wallet, so we searched the entire house, even went through the garbage and still haven't found it. We have no idea where it would be. We have only gone one place since his surgery and Im pretty sure I seen it at our house since we last had it. Im not sure if it got thrown away somehow or if its just lost in the house. SO he cancelled his debit card. He didn't have too much is his wallet, everything is replaceable, except he did have some money in his wallet. Im so stressed out about it, and he is as calm as can be. He said things happen and theres nothing you can do....it stresses me out how calm he is!

My water is good, nutrition is ok...I had pizza for dinner since there was really not much to make here and we couldn't get to the store between looking for his wallet and him not having his license. I had 2 pieces and it had lots of veggies on it. I have exercised yet, but I will soon.

Sorry this is short, Ill try to be back later for responses! Take care!

Hello DD's!

Woohoo! Great job everyone! We won Week 2!!

I had a pretty good day. I met with my trainer this morning. She apologized for not sending me the updated list yet. She was getting ready to redo the list when suddenly she was asked to do a bunch of things. She did send it to me this evening though. She mentioned to me that it looked to her like I've lost in my arms and my hips. Of course, that made me really happy. She said we'd probably do measurements next week on Monday unless I've eaten out twice over the weekend. We usually eat out once a week but sometimes things come up and we eat out 2 or 3 times a week. I try not to let that happen though.

I had a really hard time sleeping last night. Sunday night I slept on my shoulder wrong and then Monday night I forgot and slept on that same shoulder even though it was hurting some when I went to bed. Yesterday it hurt all day and last night I couldn't hardly sleep because it was hurting so much. I tried taking a Tylenol and Advil but it didn't help at all. I tried some of my medical marijuana oil on it and it helped a little. Finally, I decided to get up and try my foam roller on it. i finally got some relief but I think I only got about 3 hours of sleep. I've been really dragging all day today.

CJ - Glad you got your blankets all washed up and put away until fall. I hope the interview she has on Thursday goes well. That would be really cool if she got to teach at the same school you got your first teaching job at. How far away is Salem from you? I hope one of the jobs she's interiewed for or the Salem teaching job works out for her. I hope you got a good night's sleep last night and that you get a good one tonight.

Lisa - Don't worry about missing last week. Things happen and if things are out of whach for you then it's probably going to take a little time to get back on track. Don't worry if you miss most of week three. We'd rather have you stop by to chat a little bit if you can. The points aren't a big deal! This is your journey and you do what you can when you can and don't worry about the rest!

Amanda - Good work with your fitness, nutrition and water! You really are doing great with all of your goals! Glad you are able to fit in your fitness in the evenings while your hubby milks the cows. Oh man, not having central air is hard. That sucks that your hubby's family won't even come over to put the window air conditioners in. i'm sure your hubby doesn't want to ask but you'd think they'd think about the fact that he can't lift the ac units into the windows. Fans are a little help but not much when it's hot and muggy! I'm sorry you are still having some anxiety. I hope tomorrow you won't have any.
Thanks, I too hope I can get some rest too. I too hope the surgery helps my foot.

Michele - Wow! 101 degrees is really hot and it's not even summer yet! At least you got there in plenty of time and had a little time to read your book before Amber arrived. That's a nice workout in and of itself.
LOL it may not be YOUR foot but I still don't think it's going to be too bad. At least not as bad as I imagined. It wasn't fun being not far from the end of the runway, being near Ft. Carson and sometimes having C-130's or C-5 Galaxy airplanes fly over the house. Man, those two were super loud!! The C-5's in particular would practicall makes you poop your pants! lol I don't mind working out with a barbell as long as I don't have to put it back on a rack that is head height on me! lol

Goodnight Friends!

YAY!
I walked to the school to pick up Amber this afternoon. I left earlier than usual because I knew I wasn't going to be walking too fast with 101 degrees. I still got there in plenty of time. Found a tree and sat in the shade reading. So that was an 86 minute walk, up & back.

Amanda, HURRAY for being on track again! That's wonderful! No central a/c? Just kill me now--LOL! I would die without it! We hit triple digits today. 101, with a 'feels like' at 106. And it's not even summer yet!

Lisa, just do what you can. Sorry things have been so busy for you. I hope this week is easier.

Cathy, yeah, that surgery doesn't sound as bad as I pictured it. Then again, it's not MY foot emoticon . Did you get the updated list from your trainer? Have fun Friday! LOL, I can't imagine living in the path of an airport. Holy cow! I love workouts using a barbell!

CJ, I hope Stehanie gets something soon. It would be cool if she got a job at your school. Let me ask you something -- in the summer, do teachers get unemployment or do you just go without pay? I've always wondered. Hope you get a good night's sleep!

Have a good evening, everyone!

Michele

Good Evening Dreamers! Today has been another good day with fitness, nutrition, and water. I'm at all my goals today! I have been exercising in the evenings when my hubby is milking cows, so that makes it easy to get my exercise done. Its been warm and muggy here the last few days. We dont have central air, but we usually put window air conditioners in, but cant get them in since my husband cant lift them. We have fans running, but they only help so much. Im still having some anxiety today.

Yay on winning week 2! Great job to everyone for your hard work!

Lisa- Sorry things have been so crazy! Just do what you can when you can!

CJ- Sorry you haven't been sleeping well. Hope you get some sleep tonight! Sorry Stephanie hasn't heard from any of her job interviews yet, I hope she hears something soon!

Cathy- Sorry you have been so tired! I hope you can get some rest! I hope this surgery helps your foot!

Michele- hope you had a great day

Hello Friends - I've been washing blankets today. It's quite a few loads since I can't put more than one or two in at a time. Sure is nice to have them all clean at the same time. Stephanie hasn't heard yet from any of her interviews - BUT she has another one scheduled for Thursday. It's in Salem at a middle school for teaching science. She sure is getting to meet lots of people. We will need to jockey the times around since I need to get to PT by 2:45 that same day. We can make it work. My very first teaching job was in Salem so it would be cool if she got to teach there also. The county is supposed to tell her what job she can transfer to within the county, but they haven't yet. One of the possibilities is at the Justice Center. Even if she ends up teaching - it would be nice for her to have some income and insurance coverage throughout the summer.

I didn't sleep well again last night. I kept waking up. Hope tonight is better. emoticon

Hello Delightful Dreamers!

We went to bed way too late last night and got up semi-early this morning because I had my doctor's appointment about my foot. When we came home we let the birds out to play and then took a long nap. I don't know if it's the weather or if it's because we're finally able to settle into our house without having to go somewhere or do something but we have both been so exhausted lately. Saturday I was super exhausted and didn't want to do anything but sleep. I think it's probably a little bit of both the weather and finally settling into our house.

The surgeon had the x-rays that had been done by the podiatrist last year. He showed me where the 2nd joint on my little toe (5th toe) is rubbing against the 3rd joint at the base of my toe on the 4th toe. He said that he can take a little piece of the bone off of the little toe and that will help with me getting the callus between my toes. He said it's an outpatient procedure and I can even walk on it the same day. Then 2 weeks later I'll get the stitches out. I don't recall how long he siad the procedure takes. It sounds a lot less painful than I thought it would be. I thought I'd have to wear a special boot or something and not be able to walk on it for at least a week. My surgery is scheduled for July 10 and I go in for a pre-op appointment to fill out paperwork and stuff on the 3rd of July. I'm looking forward to not having pain in my foot anymore!

I meet with my trainer tomorrow morning. She hasn't emailed me the updated list of exercises I can do on my own. I'll have to talk to her tomorrow about it. Thursday I plan on going to water walking again. Friday, my good friend from junior high school that was also our realtor is coming over and we're going to spend the day together. We're going to a vintage market days where people will be selling all kinds of vintage furniture, jewelry and many other things. It should be fun especially since she loves antiques.

CJ - I missed seeing your post last night. I'm sorry your internet is still giving you problems. I'd definitely look for a different provider. I'm glad you had a window where you were able to "connect". :)
Glad to hear Stephanie is doing okay with her ankle. It's good she's found a way to keep her on her feet. I'm sorry this is her last week but maybe it's a blessing in disguise. Has she heard anything from the places she's interviewed, yet? It seems like they take their time getting back to you but I suppose they want to make sure they hire the best person for the job.
Thanks, my friend! I too am glad it isn't keeping me awake anymore.
It's funny how much Peep and Daffy act like siblings! Daffy is such goofy bird too. His name fits him perfectly. Peep, on the other hand, should have been named Woodstock. I swear there are times when he's cussing at his brother or even us at times! lol

Michele - That's a big job cleaning out the turtle tanks! I'm sure they are happy to have a clean environment.
Huh, I'll have to look up Ft. Custer one of these times. I remember him going to Poland but I don't think I knew about Germany. I understand about being a little reluctant to leave your daughter alone for a week. It's a big decision to make even though she is 18. I'm sure you'll make the right decision.
That's weird that the water at that particular lake was cold.
It is really crazy about thunder crashing like that. It made me jump it was so loud!
When we lived here before and lived near Ft. Carson we could always hear their war games. Thankfully, we weren't close enough that it made cracks in the walls. I know, I understand that they need to be prepared but it seems like they could find a different place or some other way of doing it. We also lived in the path of the airport so a lot of times you'd have to stop talking on the phone when a plane went overhead. There were times when we and our neighbor's across the street thought for sure a plan was going to come right through the house!
I'm doing 3 days of ST now and doing 2 - 3 days of cardio. It doesn't hurt to change things up a bit. Usually it will shake things up, so to speak, and then your body is trying to figure out how to react. lol My trainer never has me doing the same exercises each time I meet her. She usually throws in several exercises I've never done before or haven't done with a barbell or whatever else.

Amanda - Your doing so well achieving your goals each day! It makes perfect sense how you described your anxiety. I'm sure it has a lot to do with your husband and all that he is going through.
I'm sorry they still don't know what's going on with your friends' husband. I'm sure your friend is probably scared. I hope they are able to get some answers from the tests they run tomorrow.
Yeah, it is neat that they have a device saying how far away lightning is so they can close down the pool if they need to. Thank you for your encouragement on my workout!

Hello Dreamers! Hope everyone had a great Tuesday! Today was a good day...my nutrition, water and fitness were all on track today. I didn't sleep very well last night, despite going to bed early so I took a nap this morning. Im having a bit of anxiety the last few days, I just kinda feel like my heart is racing and fluttering...if that makes any sense. My heart rate is a little high, but not too bad. I think its just anxiety, maybe just everything going on with my husband this past week. Im tired tonight so Im going to go to bed hopefully early tonight,

They still dont know whats going on with my friends husband. They are going to be running more tests tomorrow.

Michele- Glad you got the turtle tanks cleaned! Great job on your walk!

CJ- Internet problems are frustrating, I have a lot of problems with my provider too. But we really dont have any other options here. Sorry Stephanie is still having problems with her ankle.

Cathy-That's kinda neat that they have a device saying how far away the storm is! Great job on your workout!

Good evening, everyone!

Well, I got the turtle tanks cleaned and filled back up. They seem happy!

CJ, who is your internet provider? Glad to hear Stephanie is doing OK. Has she heard anything definite from the other jobs?

Cathy, I don't know why he has to go to Michigan. And it's always at Ft Custer, which has an interesting history. But the past couple of months he's done a week here and then a week there. A few months ago he went to Poland & Germany. In fact, the next time he goes I might go with him. I haven't really decided, though. Yeah, Amber's 18 but I still don't like the idea of leaving her alone for a week. There are plenty of neighbors who can keep an eye on her but still...The weather here has been hot & humid and we go swimming quite a bit. But the water at that particular lake was chilly.
I hear you about the thunder crashing like that! Crazy, isn't it? We get a lot of that from Ft Hood and their war games. Troops go out 'in the field' for week(s) at a time and you can hear the cannons, weapons, etc. It sometimes gets so bad that it seems like a cannon landed in the backyard & you're just waiting for it to explode. We have cracks in the walls from them. About once a year or so Glen & I have to 'fill' them in. Glasses have rattled. It's training and they have to be prepared, I get that. But good heavens!
I've gone down to 3 days of ST and went up to 3 days of cardio. I figured maybe that's my problem--I need to change things up a bit.

Have a good night!

Michele

Hello Delightful Dreamer Friends!

I forgot to mention that yesterday we had a thunderstorm that lasted about 20 minutes or so. Shortly after it stopped raining we heard this really loud thunder clap! It was so loud that it shook the house and even made the dishes rattle in the cabinet! It really scared me for a minute. I've never experienced a thunder clap that loud. There for a minute I thought we were living down at the south end of town where we'd hear them playing war games not too far from where we lived. When I met with my trainer today she said that she was working yesterday and it shook the building. They also have a device that tells them how far away lightning is so that they can evacuate the pool. She said she thought that the lightning came close to when the thunder did but according to their device it was several miles away. It's pretty cool that they have such a device.

Like I said, I met with my trainer today and she worked me out really good like usual. I was a sweaty mess when I got done. I told her about the pectoral muscle I thought I had pulled. She said it's really easy to pull the pectoral muscle. So, she didn't work those muscles much. She's going to update the list of exercises to do on my own too. I'm thinking about changing my routine to 4 days of ST and 1 -2 days of cardio. Just something I'm thinking about. Maybe I'll talk to her about it on Wednesday when I see her.

Michele - I hope you don't have any hail damage. We have some friends that got so much hail that it looked like snow on the ground. They also had water leaking through their light fixture in the house! Good for you, having a plan to go to the gym as soon as Glen and Amber leave. I hope you can get a new phone that you like and doesn't cost a fortune!
I love you comment to Amanda about your hubby being needy when he's sick! I had a nice laugh because my hubby is the same way!!
Oh wow, I had no idea what Glen did! Why does he have to go to Michigan though when he's a mechanic at Ft. Hood? That's cool that he's in more of a supervisory position now. Glad Glen was able to go fishing. Did he catch anything? That's nice you and Amber went for a walk while he fished. It wasn't very warm here today. It was only in the mid 60's. That seems weird that the weather would be a little too chilly for swimming down there this time of year.
The birds are characters for sure! They usually make me laugh every day! I did feel well enough to meet with my trainer today. Thanks, for asking!

CJ - Yay! I'm glad you were able to get back online! I was a little worried that you hadn't checked in for a couple of days.

Amanda - Oh man, that would be really hard to get up so early in the morning when you've had a couple of days where you slept in later. I can only imagine how tired you must be. Good work continuing with your nutrition, water and exercising. Woohoo for meeting every goal today! I'm sorry your friends husband is in the hospital. Wow, that's a really high heart rate! So sorry that the doctor's didn't like what they saw on the EKG and admitted him. It's good though, that they seem to have found out what the problem is. I know what it's like to have anxiety and heart palpitations. I haven't needed to take medicine for it though. I've been able to manage it for the most part. I hope that whatever is wrong with your friends husband that it isn't anything major. It's good your hubby probably won't need physical therapy. It might not hurt to find some YouTube videos on physical therapy exercises for a broken wrist. It certainly wouldn't hurt for him to do them once his wrist is healed even if the doctor says he doesn't need physical therapy.

Lisa - I hope your headaches are gone and that your fibro flares are lessening.

Well, it's late and I have an appointment late in the morning to see the surgeon about my foot. I hope all of you have a terrific Tuesday!

Hello again - wow I'm getting frustrated with my internet. We are looking into a different provider. But in the meantime it's good to be able to "connect" (oops - sorry about the pun).
Stephanie is doing okay with her ankle. It swells during the day, but ice and compression socks are helping her stay on her feet. This is the last full week of her job. Next week she has a workshop on Tues-Thurs and then she comes back Friday for her last day. She's been sorting through her stuff so she won't have so much to move.

Amanda - You are amazing - getting in all your goals. I'm glad to hear that your hubby is doing well in his recovery. It makes sense that you are exhausted after all you've been through in this last week. Glad you could get a nap. So sorry about your friend's husband. That must be really scary to have such a rapid heart rate and not be able to understand why. I hope they can find out the problem.

Michele - Sounds like you folks are getting the rain that we usually do. Of course, the storm part sounds more extreme. I hope the weather breaks for you. Did you find a new phone?

Cathy - sorry to hear that you hurt your pectoral muscle. Ouch! Glad it isn't keeping you awake any more. Thanks for sharing more about your birds and their habits and box condos. They do sound like siblings!!

Lisa - how are you doing? I made a huge salad today and thought of you getting in lots of veggies. I'm glad the local crops are coming in. Like you, I really enjoy fresh veggies.

Good evening, everyone!
Quiet in here tonight.
Not much going on here. Glen took Amber to her school bus so I didn't make the walk this morning. But I did walk up there to pick her up. Tomorrow I need to clean both my turtle tanks. I do a full tank cleaning about every 3 months and that's what I'll have to do tomorrow. That will take the better part of the morning. And we got Glen's flight itinerary He leaves Sunday, comes back Saturday.

Amanda, emoticon on meeting your goals today! AWESOME! You'll sleep good tonight, for sure! WOW! I'm sorry to hear about your friends' husband. I hope they find out what's up. How has your anxiety been lately.

Hope everyone had a good day!
