Hello Fit Friends! It was a nice day here today. Ive been really tired today, with no energy. I even slept for about 3 hours this morning after I got home from milking cows. I have alot going on, so maybe the no energy is from stress. I have a therapy appointment tomorrow,that always helps me put things in perspective and feel better. Im going to make some new goals, since Im having trouble staying with alot of different things.

Kat- Sounds like you have been really busy. Im horrible at meal plannng too. Hope you had a good night!

Linda- Hope you get a better night of sleep

Cathy- Hope Randy had a nice birthday! Great job on the progress you have made with your trainer! Thats amazing!

Lol, lets see if SP doesn't eat another longer post. emoticon I have been pretty busy, between work and the kiddos... but that is life of course. :) I can't remember who, but someone here asked what kind of work I do. I work in a biomedical research laboratory in the pulmonary section of internal medicine at a research hospital/university. The lab i'm in works on cystic fibrosis and the mucus problems associated with it. It usually keeps me fairly busy during the day, but there is the occasional few down minutes while I have an experiment running (which lets me hop into here occasionally). When I get home things are usually chaotic, between feeding a toddler and nursing a 6 month old, and then eating dinner with my husband. I often fall asleep on the couch. I'm trying to get better at meal planning, to hopefully make evenings go just a bit smoother and to bring a bit more variety into our meals. I'm the one usually responsible for meal planning and ordering the groceries, but my husband does help reheat things or do a bit of cooking during the week.

The weekly challenge for me helps me to stop at least into the SP app to track my food and exercise more. Lol, i have no problem maxing out the points we can get per day for exercise since housework is included too. I walk a lot at work (including a 20 minute walk to from the parking lot to my research lab i work in on the opposite side of campus, and sometimes will go walking over lunch with my husband).

My goals this next week are to stop in here a bit more frequently, to get the blog written, and to track my food the whole week.

Well tried my bed the first night and I did not sleep a wink I lay there waiting for it to turn on and off last night I I Steve put my mattress on my bed and I slept like log I even had a early one too I will have to persevere with it

Hello Fit Friends!

I'm pretty tired tonight even though I got to sleep in this morning. Today was Randy's birthday and he was able to work from home. I went to the Y this afternoon to meet with my trainer. She worked me pretty hard. The sciatic nerve in my back and glute's are bothering me a little tonight.

I forgot to mention that over the last 3 months I've been meeting with my trainer I've taken 2.5 inches off of my waist and chest. An inch off of my legs and a half inch off of my arms. I haven't taken anything off of my hips but that's okay. I'm happy with my results.

Tomorrow morning I'm going to water walking again. I won't be exercising on Monday or Tuesday because on Monday I will be on a liquid diet and have to prepare for a colonoscopy on Tuesday. Randy will have to come get me since I won't be able to walk home and they won't let you take a taxi, ride service or bus to get home. I don't know if Randy will go with me to my appointment or not. It would be nice if he could but I don't know if his work will let him.

Linda - I just notice in an earlier post that they wont freeze the nerves in your shoulders because they are afraid you'll lose the use of them. I sure hope they can find something to relieve your pain. I'm so glad you like your new mattress for your side. I'm surprised they didn't bring you a new bed frame that moves the head and feet up and down. I hope you were able to get a good night's sleep last night. I'm sorry Steve upset you with putting a set of drawers between the beds. Glad he put them back together. I'm sorry the lady that came to the house was patronizing. It's so irritating that the lift she brought hurt you and that it doesn't really do much. I can't stand people like the lady that came to your house! I hope things were better today.

Amanda - I'm sorry you haven't been feeling well. I imagine it is stress related. It was really nice here today. It was in the low 80's but it feels like fall. The mornings here are pretty chilly. I'm glad you felt better and more motivated today. I hope you were able to get some exercise or walking. Sometimes taking a nap can make it to where you don't sleep well at night. I know that's true for me. I too am glad Randy is enjoying Karate! The bonus is that several people he works with go to the same Karate studio!

Kat - I know you are busy but I hope you are doing well!

Hello Friends! Its a beautiful day here today! It defintly a fall weather kind of day. Its sunny, but the air is crisp and it was chilly this morning. But its supposed to warm up this afternoon.
Im feeling better and I feel more motivated today. I had a decent day yesterday, not great,but not bad either and I think it motivated me for today! Im going to try to go on a walk today, ill defintly do some kind of exercise, but it will be nice to get outside. I still have to figure out what im having for dinner tonight, that what im going to do as soon as I catch on here.

Linda- Sorry you had an emotional day. I hope you have a better day today!

Cathy- I know the feeling of being tired but not being able to sleep, i was like that last night. Im going to try not to take a nap today so I sleep good tonight. Glad Randy is enjoying Karate!

Hi, today was very emotional for me I love my bed we bought a very expensive mattress for my side it is perfect for me it contours to my body and I get a really get a wonderful nights sleep,i thought they would bring me a new frame that goes up and down but instead they brought one of those moving shaking beds I do not think I will never sleep again they put me in one of those in hospital before when I had shoulder surgery it kept me awake all night with its constant moving and the noise the motor running all night. I have a nice bottle of red wine I am hoping that should help a little tonight and another thing I have sleep on the wrong side,
I was really upset because the way Steve had the bed room set up with a set of drawers between the beds he said it was for show they are back together now, the stupid lift she brought was just that I was strapped up and it lifted me up to a standing position and that is all it did it really hurt my shoulder which wasn't very good, she was so paronnizing as are most of these sort of people n thinking they know best emoticon

Hello Fit Friends,

I'm beyond tired tonight! I couldn't sleep last night to save my soul. I was tired but couldn't sleep. I finally drank half a cup of caffeinated tea and was able to get to sleep somewhere around 2:30 AM and then got up at 7 AM. I thought I was supposed to meet a bunch of people from the water walking class at a local restaurant today but I messed up and found out after I got to the restaurant that it's for next Monday. I came home and let the birds out, got myself something to eat and then walked to the Y to meet my trainer. I got on the exercise bike for about 10 minutes, did my training and walked home.

Randy was already home when I got home and asked if I wanted to go with him to Dick's sporting goods so he could get some below the belt protection for his privates. He went to his first Karate class tonight and is enjoying it so far. They do things a little differently but it is a completely different type of martial arts than what he's done before.

Linda - I'm sorry your plans to go to the bungalow to work in the garden always gets postponed because of rain. I'm sure that's really frustrating. That's funny that the decorator lives in the house you grew up in. I hope you like your new bed. Glad you are finally getting your car fixed. My sister does a good job on my hair. She just takes a really long time to do it. Also, we have to travel one hour each way to get to the salon she works at.
I understand how all of the changes are weighing on your mind. Have you ever tried to take Melatonin? Or drink some herbal tea to help you sleep?
I hope Steve's hospital appointment goes well and that the standing lift will help you and/or Steve. Sorry to hear about your knee. I hope the doctor can help you with the pain and to figure out what is wrong with it.

Amanda - Sorry your internet was out most of the day on Saturday. That's good your food was a little better today and you did a little cleaning. It was pretty cool here today. It was only around 70 degrees.
That's frustrating your internet keeps going out. I hope it stays on and you don't have anymore problems with it. WTG not eating your emotions!! That's really great! I'm sorry you had a headache most of the day. I hope you feel better tomorrow.
Thanks, I too am glad my headache is gone. I had a pretty good day! I hope tomorrow is a better day for you!

Hello Friends! My internet in finally working good again, hopefully it stays that way! Today has been an ok day. My nutrition was ok...definitely better than it has been. I resisted emotional eating. I didnt do much exercise again, but Im not feeling too well tonight, ive had a headache most of the day.

Well yet again our plans to go to the bungalow are on hold every time we say we are going it rains it is so annoying we need to move on now it is getting ridicules time seems to be going so fast and we are getting no where I hate being in such a mess but I cannot say anything without being shouted down
Anyway we will be busy tomorrow the car is going to be fixed, Steve has a hospital appointment my new bed and a standing lift whatever that is they say it will be useful are arriving also I am going to see our doctor in the evening my right knee is very painful swollen and it gives way when I put weight on it,i hope you all had a marvellous Monday

Hello Fit Friends!

I'm going to have to make this short because it's really late and I have to get up early. I had a good day but a busy day. Thankfully, my headache is gone. Randy massaged my shoulders last night and I got on the inversion table. I slept much better last night after the massage and getting on the inversion table.

Tomorrow is going to be another busy day but I'm hoping I'll get time to get in here to catch up with all of you.

Good Evening! Sorry i didnt check in yesterday but I didnt have internet most of the day. My internet is working again, hopefully it will.stay that way and Ill be able to post more this week. Today was an ok day, ive just been tired today.
My food was a little better today and I did a little cleaning. It was a hot day here so my house hot so I didnt do any exercises. My house was like 87 degrees plus it was really humid today. Its supposed to be cooler tomorrow so my plan is to do an exercise video tomorrow.

Hello team, we have few busy day days this week tomorrow we are going to the bungalow the garden needs weeding and tiding and we need to get in touch with decorator to give inside a fresh lick of paint I do not think my parents had it done in years, do not get me wrong it was always clean but now we have taken all the pictures it has left holes in the wall. The funny thing is the decorator lives in the house I grew up in.

Tuesday my new bed arrives . our car finally go to the garage to get fixed also Steve has a hospital appointment and now I have an appointment at our doctor`s I have a very painful knee
@ Cathy I am sorry you have had a bad hair experience and I hope your headache settles down and I hope you can live with your hair for a while it grows out.
I am not sleeping at the moment I think all the changes are playing on my mind

Hello, Fit Friends!

I'm going to make this short. Yesterday I went and had my sister do my hair. She does a good job but unfortunately, I don't think I'll be using her anymore. It takes an hour to get to the salon where she works, 3 hours for her to do it and then another hour to drive back home. I really want to support her but it just takes too long. I know she doesn't understand but I can't do anything about that. I left with back really hurting and had a headache.

I've been fighting a headache all day today and am just about in tears because it's hurting so much. I'm super tired too because I try to sleep but end up waking up with a headache.

Good Evening! Sorry but this will be another quick check in. I woke up this morning, determined to have a better day, and stay on track. That didnt work. My husbands dr ordered a bone simulator which i knew would be expensive, well I found out today, its going to be $500. They are letting us do payments, but its still another bill which is just more stress. It just never stops. All this stress is really getting to me, from all this and some other stuff going on. I cleaned today and milked cows, but didnt really do much other exercises. My internet is horrible, so I cant do youtube videos or anything like that. My internet is being looked at tomorrow, but it will just the same thing, they will just make some stupid excuse and thats when Im going to cancel it. Ive had nonstop problems with it for months.

I hope everyone had a good weekend. Im determined to get myself back on track tomorrow, in fact, Im going to write a plan for tomorrow before bed tonight and plan my meals.

I am glad it is friday!! I only have another half hour or so until I leave work. :) I yet again had a huge NSV for me yesterday. I contacted the bar that the breastfeeding issue happened directly yesterday, as I wanted to make sure that the owner was aware of what happened and that they are actually aware of the law, before I would make the name of their establishment public. Making it public could definitely hurt their business. I of course got apologized to profusely and told I could nurse wherever I wanted, but that there were several other patrons who were being very vocal about their disapproval. I was told that they were waiting to talk to me the next time they saw me and that they did not know who told my family member who told me. .... yet that family member said it was the very person I talked to that told them... so someone is lying somewhere... i'm just frustrated about it. I almost didn't call them back when they left me a message, but I faced the anxiety over it and called as I wanted to try and get to the bottom of it. Normally I would have ate that anxiety in snacks for sure... but I didn't. I walked around a bit and drank some water instead.

Hey we won! emoticon Team I could not do my points I had no internet, the new one seems to working good so far, we have changed from BT Internet to Sky so now our tv`s in our bed room.kitchen and living room all have sky tv and the internet is now linked together it is cheaper, we could not do it before without changing our phone number but now now we can, I am sorry I could not tell you I would be off line I did not know myself,
@Cathy we have discussed nerve blocks and they will not consider cutting or freezing the nerves because it can cause more problems by cutting the nerves it could leave my arm useless and there is no coming back from that so the search for pain relief continues I am looking forward to October one of pain relief consultants said I could try medicinal cannabis it is for sale in health shops here now but it is such a low stenth it wouldn't have any affect on me I will have to have a much stronger dose
My new bed arrives on Teausday , Also we had a visitor from the council she is going to get us a all dancing all singing loo it washes and dries you, and they are going to put a ramp at the back so I can get out but I did set her a challenge how to get mre in and out of the hot tub I have not been in there for months

Hello Fit Friends,

I'm super tired tonight and it's getting late. I had a good and productive day. I started out going to water walking this morning. Randy drove me on his way to work. Well, it's a little out of his way but not by much.

Tomorrow, I'll be traveling to the city south and west of us so that my sister can color and cut my hair. I really need to catch up on my sleep so I'm going to end this here.

Linda - I'm glad Steve knows to get in touch with my through facebook if anything is wrong. I think he did that once before.
Sorry to hear about your internet but I hope it's fixed and working correctly now. I'm glad they are trying to help Steve help you without straining himself so much. I hope hydrotherapy works.
My mom was in a vehicle accident 20+ years ago and her back is to the point where they are injecting a pain medicine into her spine every few months. The doctor is now talking about burning the nerve endings so that she doesn't feel the pain. :/ I'm not sure if that's good thing to do or not. I suppose it's better than being bound to the bed.

Amanda - I know EXACTLY where you are coming from with the DVD's and the player being in your computer that is broke and the one in the other computer doesn't work. Can you access the internet with your old computer? If so, there are many free YouTube videos you can do. Leslie Sansone has walking videos and Jessica Smith has walking and many other types of videos free that you can use.
I'm sorry your car needs more work than the mechanic thought but if the recall/warranty will pay for most of it, that's a good thing!

Good Evening! Today has been an ok day. I didnt exactly eat healthy today, but I didnt really over eat today either. So I guess, atleast I didnt over eat and eat unhealthy. Im having a hard time getting back on track completly. Im staying active, but Im not exercising as much as I was- I hate walking on my road and its really the only place I have to walk, I was doing exercise DVDs but with my computer being broke, I was using that DVD player to play them. The DVD player on my old computer doesnt work. And Im not sure what else to do for exercises. I need to get back on track with exercising to to get completely back on track

Our car went in today to get fixed. It needs some more work than they thought. Most of it should be covered under a recall/warranty thankfully.

We have changed our internet server and we are having teething problems it has been stupid. I hope it is fixed now,Well it has been quite a week we have had 2 visitors and we had a n appointment at the hospital the first lady came to see what aids would help us with lifting etc, we agreed a hospital bed would a great start our bed is electric each side moves tour legs or/head up and down which is great but a hospital bed moves up and down completely which should make it easier to get in and out of bed, she also talked about a different chair and a standing transfer aid. Yesterday we went to see a physiotherapist she suggested hydrotherapy I did that years ago before I met steve I will try anything. then she threw something else in the mix, she said how about bo-tox

Hello Fit Friends,

This morning I wanted to take a nap but I never got the chance to. The piano movers called this morning to let me know they were running late because the customer they had before me was being difficult and trying to tell them how to do their job. They did a great job though and even put coasters under the rolling feet so that it wouldn't scratch our floors. I forgot to tip them though. When he comes back over in a few weeks to tune the piano I'll tip him then.

After the piano movers left I let the birds out so they could play for a while, made my lunch and then went to the Y to meet with my trainer. I walked home but Randy met me halfway.

Amanda - That's okay, because I forgot to total my points until this afternoon. I've had so much going on that I forgot. I'm sorry your mind has been in a million places. I hope things calm down for you soon so you won't feel so stressed.
Oh man, toothaches are not fun. I hope you can get in to see the dentist before October. Maybe they'll have a cancelation so that they can get you in earlier.
Some activity is better than none and I'm sure everyone appreciates you stepping in to help while your nephew is back at college. I'm glad to hear your nutrition is getting better. It's hard to get back on track when you've gotten off track. Especially if it's been for several days or more. That's great you bought a little notebook where you can journal. Sometimes it's hard for me to get in the mood to journal but once I get started and do it for several days it becomes easier. Journaling helps me and I think it will help you too. Sometimes it helps you to think through your problems and sort things out in your head.
I did get a lot of exercise in on Tuesday and then again today. Thank you for your encouragement and support too! That's what Friends, especially Spark Friends, are for! emoticon emoticon

Good Evening! I have a toothache today, well I have had a mild one for a few days and its worse today. I called the dentist today and they have no appoinments till like the week of October. They told me to call in every day to see if they have any same day appointments which is a pain, they only give out same day appointments if you call between 8 and 830. Sometimes Im not home till a little after 8 from milking cows, and im sure anyone who needs an appointment is calling right at 8 am. So we will see how that works next week. I cant to tomorrow or Friday due to no ride. But next week, I should be able to go any day I can get in.

I had to milk cows tonight, so I didnt get my walk in that I planned. But thats ok. Theres always tomorrow and I got some activity milking cows. My nutrition still isnt the greatest, but its getting better, especially with not being able to eat alot with my tooth. Today I bought a little notebook, where I can journal in. I think it will help getting back on track. I have been really emotional lately, and this will help where I can write all this down.

Cathy- It sounds like you got in a lot of exercise today! Great job!! Thank you for all your encouragement and support!

Hello Fit Friends,

My morning started out topsy turvy, so to speak, because I couldn't remember the combination for my padlock that I use to lock up my stuff when I use the pool. About 7 or 8 minutes before the water walking class started I remembered the combination. We only have 1 vehicle and Randy uses it to get to work. Needless to say, I ran to the Y. I got there about 20 minutes late but the instructor didn't mind. She's a new instructor for the class and boy does she give you a good workout! I walked home afterwards. I'm quite tired tonight from running, water walking and then walking uphill to my house.

I tried to lay down and take a nap after I got home but was unsuccessful at it. I then kept trying to figure out how to get photos I have stored in my Google Photos onto my phone so that I could send them to the piano mover. I spent several hours before I think I successfully sent them to the piano mover.

I got my blog written and posted this evening just before supper. After supper we had to run to the grocery store.

Kat - Yay for having a few minutes to get in here to chat. lol What do you do for work? Aren't kitchen gadgets wonderful that make life easier and simpler. That's cool your husband helpw warm up food you've batch cooked ahead of time.
I am really busy! I'm sorry you never got a chance to write your blog. Sometimes life doesn't cooperate with our best intentions. ;)

Amanda - I'm sorry you are so tired again tonight. It might be that your allergies are acting up if you have allergies. I know when mine act up I definitely feel more tired than normal. I'm sorry things are stressful for you right now. Tomorrow is definitely a new day and another day to get it right. I'm glad today was better than yesterday. Yay for getting your other computer out so that you can Spark easier.

Good Evening Friends! Im really tired again today, I slept on and off all day and have no energy. Im not sure if I just have worn myself out over the last few days, if its the stress, or if maybe Im getting sick. Im not exactly on track again today, Ive been having a really hard time with so many things. But Ill get through it and get back on track, tomorrow is a new day and another day to be successful. Today was defintly a little better than yesterday. I did get my other computer out finally, so its so much easier doing anything on SP.

I actually have a few minutes to stop in here for once! ;) I'm waiting on the person who is going to train me on a procedure working with research animals. I used my power cooker last night to make meatballs for meatball subs. It worked great! with little hands on time, and was pretty quick overall. That's a huge bonus as I'm usually pretty tired by the time i get home from work, we get the toddler fed and into bed, and i get the infant nursed. My husband often helps warm up food i've batched cooked ahead of time or to cook a quick meal (like chicken breasts, fish filets, etc).

Cathy: It sounds like you are crazy busy! I know what you mean about trying to get the blog done for a week but not having the chance. I'm determined to do it today!

Linda: Our laundry seems to breed when not looking too! Lol, I think the dishes have also acquired this talent as well. There is only 4 of us (2 adults, a toddler, and an infant) and the piles seem never ending.

Amanda: Hopefully you were able to get a bit more sleep last night.

Hello Fit Friends!

I had another super busy day with trying to find a reputable company to move the piano that is being given to us. I also texted with a couple of friends this morning then walked to the Y to meet with my trainer. Randy picked me up afterwards and then we went to the post office to pick up a package. He also wanted to check out some martial arts places around here. Came home and attempted to put the birds to bed but that took a while. They weren't quite ready for bed yet. lol After we got them to bed we went to check out a few more places that teach martial arts and then stopped to get some Chinese food.

I'm going to water walking early in the morning but I should be able to get in here when I get back and hopefully write my blog. I've been trying for a week now to blog but haven't had the chance.

Linda - I know how that feels about the laundry breeding while you weren't looking. I hope you were able to find your jeans. Sorry Steve wasn't able to finish the garden at the bungalow. It's been a while since I've had pizza. Randy's cholesterol levels were high when he went to the doctor so we're trying to be more conscientious about what we're eating.
Yes, I have been really busy since returning from Seattle. Thanks for the applaud on my choice of freggies. :) When do you get your new car. Sorry you won't be going away for a few days in December. Maybe after the new year you can.

Kat - WTG not eating your feelings!! I'm sorry someone got upset about you breastfeeding your child. I don't understand why something so natural would upset someone. I'm hoping to write my blog tomorrow too.
That's great that some of the snack suggestions are helping with being so hungry all the time.

Amanda - I'm sorry you are so tired tonight. Maybe you just need to catch up on your sleep a little more. I'm also sorry you feel like you're on an emotional roller coaster lately. Good Evening! I am so tired today and Im not sure why. I got a good night of sleep last night. I have been really emotional the last few days, I feel like Im on an emotional roller coaster lately maybe thats what has been draining me and why Im so tired. My food is way out of control today, but Im going to get back on track not only tomorrow and the rest of the week, but right now! Since Im so tired and worn out, im going to rest tonight and take the day off from exercises.

I had a huge NSV for me yesterday! Some not very nice stuff happened to me yesterday. I had a blatant case of breastfeeding discrimination by a place we frequent (in Nebraska, the law is that breastfeeding mothers have a right to nurse anywhere they can legally be). I was all kinds of pissed off, hurt, humiliated, ashamed.... and I somehow managed not to eat my feelings! I am working on posting this weeks points right after this (while I have a minute at work as there is no telling how the evening will go with kiddos once i get home). If things go well, I should have a chance to post the blog too.

Oh, I took a few of the snack suggestions I got awhile ago in here and have been trying them out! I'm finding mixing high protein with some fiber seems to help out a lot with being super hungry all the time, especially when I get home from work but before dinner.

Hello Fit Friends!

I had a really busy day and now it's time to get ready for bed. Randy has to go in to work tomorrow and I have an appointment with my personal trainer at the YMCA. Our friends' parents have moved into an assisted living home and left what they didn't want. Our friend and his siblings don't want the upright piano that she had and asked us if we wanted it. We do and now we have to find a mover that is reputable and won't charge an arm and a leg to move it across town.

We went for a walk this evening and petted several doggies on our walk; one was a silver lab. I had never heard of a silver lab before. We walked about 2 1/2 miles.

I will catch up with all of you tomorrow. I hope each of you have a Marvelous Monday!

Good Evening! Im so tired tonight! I didnt sleep very well last night and spent the day cleaning my house,so its been a long day. Ill be going to bed very soon. I still dont have answers about my watch. ATT is a pain!!

Hello team, we had a quiet weekend, Steve did a lot of laundry yesterday it seems to have been breeding while we were not looking I have a funny feeling my missing jeans are in there somewhere, Today Steve went to the bungalow to finish the garden but it was raining when he got there so he came home and did some more washing.. we had pizza for dinner,
@ Cathy you have been very busy since your return , I applaud you on your choice of freggies ,, As for our car they keep saying the part will will arrive next week they have been saying that for weeks, we have ordered our new car now now so we do not really care anymore we were going away for a few days in December but now we are not going to book anything

Hello Fit Friends!

I'm sorry I didn't get in here yesterday to chat with all of you. I went and had breakfast with my friend and former neighbor. We sat and talked for a couple of hours. When I got home I needed to clean up the house some more before our friends came and run to the store to pick up some chicken and salad greens. Supper turned out really well and we had a great time with them and their son that has become an intern for our business. They left sometime around midnight. I've felt so exhausted all day today. We have so much going on with our business and things are really starting to heat up.

Kat - I hope you and your family are feeling better.
I am trying to gather up all of the pictures hubby, our long time friend and business partner, our friend and musician from Denmark and another guy so that I can put up a blog about our trip to Seattle.

Linda - I'm sorry you had to be in your chair for so long while Steve went out. I'm also sorry your car is still acting up and you aren't sure when you'll get the parts put in the car.

Amanda - It's not easy to do anything with the SP app on your phone. I'm sorry you twisted your ankle while trying to clean. I hope it feels better tomorrow. Be sure to RICE (Rest Ice Compression Elevation) it as much as possible. I didn't get hardly any steps in today because my toe was still pretty swollen this morning from everything I did yesterday.
