Hi everyone my total wk 4 = 1395

Well the man came he said they could not put any ramps in and out because there are too many levels and the ramp we do have is far too steep, we know that we built it when we first moved here I was still walking then. Under the ramp there are some steps , you are not believe this they are going to build me a lift. we have the front door then to the side door to the garage that it where the ramp is and he said my lift will be in before Christmas

Hello Friends!

It's hard to believe this is the last day of our challenge. I've enjoyed chatting with all of you this past month. I hope all of you have a successful November!

We went to bed late last night and got up around our normal time because the birds were insisting that we get up. lol I took a bath this afternoon. Randy had to help me out of the tub though since I can't put much weight on the one leg. I contacted Cuisinart this afternoon too because the blender I just bought back in August isn't working correctly. Also, we found out there is something wrong with some of the outlets in the kitchen and dining room this evening. Sigh, it's always something it seems. I can't really complain though, we would have had to fix things ourselves if we still lived in Missouri.

It's not even winter yet and I'm kind of tired of the snow. lol I had to reschedule my doctor's appointment again to Thursday since it's still snowing off and on through tomorrow morning.

Linda - Oh no, sorry to here about the flood outsdie on the pavement next to your home. I hope you don't have any damage to your home or foundation because of the water. Glad they are coming out to check things out. I hope you find out when you'll get your new vehicle tomorrow.
Oh gosh, I should have thought about your brain not letting you know early enough that you have to go to the loo. Sorry, I never thought about that.
Thanks, I too hope my doctor's appointment goes well when I see him.
I'm sorry your mum was the one that kept your family together. It seems like when a mom in a family dies, things aren't the same. The family isn't as close as it once was. I've seen it happen when my paternal grandma died and when my mother-in-law died too. It's sad how that happens like that.

Arlene - I know, the time does go by so quickly. I'm glad you signed up for the November Challenge. I thought you might be traveling and that you wouldn't be able to participate. I don't know who is going to be on what teams yet. I will know tomorrow though. I imagine some of us will be on the same team.
Glad you didn't need a flashlight this morning when you walked Sam. It sounds like a big job trimming the trees and bushes in the front of your property. Do you have several acres of land? The older we get the more aches and pains we seem to have. I just googled when DST ends and it does end this weekend. I am not looking forward to it getting dark earlier either. I wish we would stay on DST all the time.
We have a lot of military here. Just in Colorado Springs we have 6 military bases. Along with many other military facilities. Thus, there are many military personnel here that come from other states that don't know how to drive in snow. lol Well, there was a 2 hour delay in the doctor's office opening which meant that the appointments early in the morning were canceled. When I was a kid, the school district I was in rarely closed school. We don't usually get this much snow this early in the fall/winter season. I hope you don't get any or much snow this weekend since the boys are planning on going hunting this weekend. I don't mind the snow as long as I don't have to get out in it. lol My knee isn't really improving much on it's own. The pain isn't nearly as bad as it was but otherwise it hasn't improved much. The doctor's office called this afternoon and said that they would be having a delayed start again tomorrow morning and had me reschedule my appointment for Thursday. Keep your fingers crossed that I won't need surgery.

Latisha - I know, this month has flown by and it's hard to believe this is our last day of the October Challenge. I too enjoyed sharing this month with you as well as Arlene and Linda. I'm sure some of us will most likely be on the same team next month. I'm sorry you were so tired last night that you didn't post. Great job meeting your daily step goal. I'm sorry you are struggling with sleep though. Have you ever tried taking Melatonin. It's something your body makes naturally but as we get older we make less of it. I think some people don't make enough even when they are younger though. I take some by Vitafusion that works great! It's a gummy and works better than any other brand I've tried. I will total my points tomorrow. Thank you for turning the points in for our team! I hope you get a restful night's sleep tonight!!

emoticon Happy Tuesday! Sorry I missed posting last night. I cannot believe the end of the October challenge is today. I enjoyed sharing this month with you. Hopefully, we will meet up again very soon. Yesterday, I was so tired that I did not post. I went to bed early. I am making my daily step goals, but struggling with sleep. Some nights I wake up during the night, then before long my alarm goes off. It sucks! I plan to do our points this week so I will check back tomorrow. Have a wonderful and restful night!

Good Evening Everyone!

Can you believe it's already Tuesday and the end of the challenge week? Time goes by so quickly. I did sign up for the November challenge; hope to see you all there as well. Maybe we will get to be on the same team again.

Cloudy and misty all day today. I did go out for a walk this morning; no flashlight needed this time. I also got out again this evening. Both times with Sam. The rest of the day was spent trimming bushes and trees in the front of the property. Ben and I worked hard all day and managed to get it all done. Of course now our lower backs are aching. So is life I guess.

I think time change is this weekend. I'm not looking forward to it at all. I don't like it getting dark as early as it will. It is what it is.

LINDA - sounds like you took a nasty spill. Hope you won't bruise. What women don't go through to have their hair and nails done. Hope Steve appreciates all you do to look and feel your best. Sorry to hear about our flood. That's not an easy thing to deal with.

CATHY - Wow you did get a lot of snow. I am surprised things got cancelled. I would have thought being a Colorado, they would know how to handle all that snow. Maybe it was just too much too soon and unexpected. SW Ohio might get some snow Friday. I hope we don't get any...I'm not a snow type of person. Plus the boys will be hunting this weekend. As cold as they are saying it will be, they will really need to bundle up. Doesn't sound like our knee is really improving on its own. Hope you make it in to the doctor and can get some help. I too hope it it nothing that will require surgery.

LATISHA - hope you had a good day and I also hope you were able to meet your daily goals for sleep and steps.

Hi, team yesterday we returned to a flood outside on the pavement by our place Steve reported it to the water company while he was in the shop sorting some electrics we have a big hole next to our drive
We are having some people coming tomorrow to see about the access , I cannot believe how fast things are happening all of a sudden.,on Wednesday Steve should know when the Stag will be ready . Steve told the man he has taken too long . to fix it up we bought it I months ago. our normal car is fixed but I still do not trust it, We should hear about our new one soon
@ Cathy I cannot take water tablets because I have problems getting to the loo as it is my brain says I need the loo then I have to get there quickly with water tablets I would have no chance , it is all to do with my head injury all those years ago.
I hope you get to your doctors and I hope it is good news
@ Latashia you are doing great with your goals keep up the good work
@ Arlene I thought I had a close family I can see now mum was the only one that held us together I know what I have to do now

Hello Super Stretcher Friends!

I didn't go to the doctor this morning. They had a delayed start because of all the snow we got last night and this morning. That meant that my early appointment was canceled. I rescheduled for Wednesday morning. We had snow off and on all day today. Last I checked we got about 8 inches. It's supposed to snow more tonight and tomorrow and even early Wednesday morning. Although, Wednesday morning we're supposed to get less than an inch. I hope they don't have a late start again on Wednesday.

Knee hasn't been hurting too much today. It still gives out on me if I turn my leg a certain way which doesn't feel good. I'm really hoping I won't need surgery and that I didn't tear any ligaments.

I finished the website and Randy is in the process of uploading it to the server. It's not perfect but it looks pretty good. Mainly, it's if you try to access our website from a mobile device that it doesn't look exactly correct. Still, it's good enough for now.

Arlene - Wow, it certainly was a nice warm day there. I'm sure many people are happy you aren't getting rain yet. Glad you took a flashlight with you when you took Sam for a walk. Great job going for another walk in the afternoon. That's nice that Cabella's could get Ben's bow strung quickly. My husband used to shoot bow's when he was younger. He didn't hunt with it though. That's funny that Sam helped Ben find the arrow he lost.
Thanks, I too hope the doctor can give me something to help out with the pain. I just hope I didn't tear the ACL or any other ligament. I imagine the ski resorts are loving the snow we are getting. I'm sure they'd be happy to open sooner. I'm sure it probably is good for business.

Latisha - You're doing great with meeting your sleep goal. I'm glad to hear your hubby's foot is doing better. I hope the visit to the doctor this week goes well and he'll get good news. Hoping you had a good Monday.

Linda - It sounds like things are coming along with the bungalow so you can rent it. I hope it helps to bring in some extra income. I also hope Steve's virtual reality software at the archery shop brings in some extra pocket money as well.
I understand trying to stay off of your knee as much as possible. I'm happy to hear you finally got used to your bed vibrating. I'm sure it can get quite cold there in the UK. I'm so sorry to hear you fell getting into the car. I hope the graze on your leg and eyebrow heals quickly. Yay for getting your hair and nails done. I'm glad the reason for your bad knee is just water and not a blood clot. Why can't you take water tablets? Does it mess with your other medicine? Yes, I too am glad we are making progress with the game. It definitely would bring in "pocket money" too.
There are a lot of wildfires in California and Arizona. There are wildfires throughout the western part of the US but mostly in California and Arizona.

Hello
We had a lovely lie in this morning I am trying too keep off my knee as long as possible lie I bed with my legs elevated and my head and shoulders raised a bit too so I do not put pressure on my shoulders my bed also vibrates to help with circularisation it took time to get used too but now it is great and because it is an air mattress it keeps warm and I need the warmth now. the weather here in the UK has turned bitterly cold.
I had a fall today outside while I was trying to get in the car I grazed my leg and I have a graze on my eye brow where my glasses hit the deck, but it did not stop me having my hair and nails done
@ Cathy I am sorry you have a bad knee too I did go to the doctors about mine Steve was worried about blood clots now I am in my chair 24/7 but luckily it is only water but I cannot take water tablets, I am glad you are making progress with your game it means you can get your "pocket money" too

I see on the news the US are having trouble with wild fires stay safe my friends

Hello Super Stretchers and Happy Monday!

Another nice day today. No rain and warm this afternoon - around 68 F. Can't complain about that. Took Sam for an early morning walk. I couldn't sleep anymore so I got up and walked her. It was still dark out; I did have the flashlight in hand. It was daylight by the time we got back. We went for another walk this afternoon...no flashlight needed at that time. Ben and I took a ride to Cabellas to get his bow restrung. BUT he brought the wrong string. So we headed back home, got the right one this time and took off again. They had it done in no time. Once home, he had to zero in the bow. He lost 1 arrow but Sam actually helped him find it. Other than that, I didn't do much of anything.

CATHY - Glad the knee is feeling a bit better. Hopefully the doctor will give you what you need to help you out with the pain and with getting back to normal too. Sounds like you have made a good deal of progress n the web site. With all the snow you guys are getting, maybe the ski resorts/lodges will open up sooner...it's probably good for business.

LATISHA - Hope hubbies DR appointment goes well this week. Yippee for the Lions wining their game. It's always nice when "your" team wins.

LINDA - sounds like you have a plan for renting out the bungalow. Glad you're getting it all done. I'm sure the added income will be nice.

Hello Friends!

I'm sorry but this is going to have to be quick. I've been working on our website all day and got quite a bit accomplished. I still have more to do but I should be able to finish it tomorrow. My knee is feeling better but still really tender and hurts if I move it wrong. I still plan on seeing the doctor early in the morning. My exercise for yesterday and today was walking around on crutches and pulling myself up the stairs backwards with my arms and sliding downwards on my butt. My pectorals and shoulders are quite sore from this.

We're supposed to get snow tonight and tomorrow, as well as Tuesday and Wednesday. It's unusual for us to get this much snow before Halloween We don't usually get snow like this 'til December or January.

Latisha - I'm sorry to hear you A1C/Glucose numbers not being normal. I hope you can remedy that with your diet.

Arlene- Sorry you didn't get to go for a walk with Sam because of the rain. I hope you can get a walk in tomorrow.

Linda - I'm so sorry about your family treating that way! It's not getting info about family you should be getting. I hope they'll change their ways.

emoticon Happy Sunday! It's getting late, but I wanted to post here on today. I slept in a bit because I was late with my hubby. His foot seems to be doing better so I am hoping the doctor visit this week he will get good news. I did not do any running around today. I did laundry and I spent time watching football. My Detroit Lions beat New York Giants. Then, I spent time writing a blog post. After posting this I will going to sleep so I can get up earl tomorrow.

Linda - Good news about the house. Hope you're feeling better tomorrow. Stay encouraged as it relates to family.

Arlene - Walking with Sam is what you needed on today. Laundry and cleaning is always a good thing. Thanks for your input related to my A1C number. I plan to get my eating habits back under control this week.

Cathy - Hope you enjoyed your Sunday!

Afternoon all Super Stretchers and Happy Sunday!

Today is a nice day. Decent weather (no rain) yet pretty windy out. Sam and I went for a nice long walk this morning. We had to make up for not walking yesterday. We will go out again later this evening but before the sun is down. Did a load of laundry and some basic cleaning up/picking up around the house. Paid the bills today too. Ben and I covered the boat and he put some stuff in the gas tank so it wouldn't freeze up and mess up the carburetor. Monday & Tuesday will be warmer and less wind. We will be cutting the front bushes, hedges and trimming a few trees up then.

LATISHA - 9 hours of sleep - seems the sleep is exactly what you needed. The A1C is roughly a 3 month weighted average. Whatever you ate 2 or 3 months ago may be the cause of higher reading?? I would think 1 poor result may just mean you need to improve on your food choices a bit yet. I'm sure your DR will steer you in the right direction.

CATHY & LINDA - hope you guys had a great day.

emoticon Happy Saturday! I got more than 9 hours of sleep last night which felt so GREAT! After yesterday, I needed to get some rest. I woke up feeling refreshed and cooked breakfast. Then, I spent time doing some reading and going through our mail. I received my blood work results and everything was normal except my A1C/glucose numbers. I've never been diagnosed with diabetes so I am hoping this is just a warning. It started raining in the afternoon, but I still went to my hair appointment. It felt nice getting my hair washed, conditioned, and trimmed. I spent some time reading and Sparking. I also did my walk workout. I cooked a pot roast, potatoes, and veggies in the slow cooker. It's so yummy!

Arlene - Sorry you did not get to walk with Sam due to the rain. We're getting a lot of rain too today! Hopefully, you can walk outdoors tomorrow.

Linda - Sorry your family is treating you this way! Hopefully, it will get better for you.

Cathy - Oh no, sorry you hurt your knee. Hope you get your game/website finished real soon.

Happy Saturday!

And a very wet one at that. I did not get any walking in today with Sam. She actually hates rain and will only go out if she absolutely needs to. She funny to watch. When you ask her if she wants out she runs right to the door. But when you pen the door up she walks halfway out and quickly turns back in again like "oh no, never mind, I really don't want to go. I was just fooling you". I did get out a few times when I had to pick up a few things from the grocery. I decided to park as far away from the entrance to force a bit of a walk. Guess I'm like Same and would rather not walk in it either. I also had to go to the vets. Sam has some sort of ear infection. I couldn't get her in today but they did have some sort of ointment for me to pick up. So I got that and it's starting to look a little better. Hopefully by morning it will be much improved.

CATHY - sorry about your knee. It sounds very painful.Glad you got an appointment already and hopefully ice along with staying off it over the weekend will help ease it a bit. I too hope you get your website done this weekend. It would be nice to put another milestone behind you.

LINDA - what a shame family treats family the way they do. Hope things get better.

LATISHA - Glad the boys had no cavities. Happy both boys are making decent grades. I feel for you with not being able to trust them. I hope the display falling down was all by accident. Sometimes kids just don't watch where they are going. Heck, sometimes adult people don't watch either especially when they are distracted while on their cell phone texting. Nice job on you BP; with all the life changes you have made, I'm sure the blood work will come back with great results too.

Hello Friends,

I'm sorry I didn't get in here yesterday to chat. I went to the Y yesterday morning. I was on the 2nd to last exercise she had planned for me. I was doing jumping jacks with one of those exercise bands around my legs. On the 8th or 9th rep I felt a pop in my knee and was in instant pain. They had ice packs that I put on it. After a little bit I was able to put weight on it and walk on it. Then as I was walking out the door my knee felt like it popped and tried to give out on my again. I tried to get in to see the doctor but can't until early Monday morning. Of course, I'm not a doctor but from what I can tell after looking up my symptoms, I think I tore my ACL. I can't put any weight on that leg without being in pain. Thankfully, I have crutches so I can get around the house. I don't like using the crutches on the stairs though since we have around 13 steps to go up to the next level or down. I scoot on my butt to go up or down the stairs.

We are having a company meeting here in a little bit. The wife of Chris (project manager) will be doing the voice over for the main character in the game. His son is our intern too. So, the whole family is involved with the game except for their other son. lol I'm hoping we can finish the website today or tomorrow.

Arlene - I think fall/autumn is definitely here. We still have some snow on the ground from Thursday. Wow, that's a big group of people. That's really nice though, that so many of you get together and that's a nice mix of both men and women and that most are couples.
Great job walking twice yesterday. I hope the rain didn't stop you from getting a good walk in.

Latisha - Your blood pressure was pretty good. I hope your blood work comes back with good results. Glad the boys' grades are decent. That must be really difficult to parent the boys when you can't trust what they are telling you. I'm so sorry and I can only imagine how heart breaking that must be. I wish I was there to give you a hug. I'm sorry that the appointment with the behavioral therapist didn't go well either. Oh no, I' sorry your youngest son knocked over a display at the drug store. I'm sorry you had such a rough day. I hope and pray that things will improve. It's hard to feel optimistic when you feel like you are at your breaking point.

I appreciate your encouragement with my water walking and playing the fitness game.

Linda - I hope you and Steve are doing well and getting things in order at the bungalow.

emoticon Happy Friday or is it? Today, I did not go to work. There was no school due to Parent Teacher Conferences. Before I took the boys to the school, I had to go to the doctor for my 3 month blood pressure check and it was 116/80. Then, I had to get annual blood work done. Then, I picked up the boys and off we went to the school. Both boys grades are decent, but there are some behavioral problems and lack of effort with school work. Nevertheless, I was not very happy with some of the stuff I was hearing, but that all comes with parenting, right? Unfortunately, I have found both boys are pathological liars and cannot be trusted. This breaks my heart to the core. I've cried a lot today because I do not know what to do. Any how, after the conferences I had to take the oldest child to his behavioral therapy. I was so frustrated at this appointment, I stormed out of the room. I am just at my breaking point I guess. I stood outside until he was finished. Then, we left there and went to the drug store to pick up some band-aids for my hubby and my youngest son knocked over a display. This was some kind of day. Then, we went home and did some leaves since it is supposed to rain tomorrow. Now, I am Sparking and plan to do some writing tonight.

Arlene - Glad you were able to get your running around done. Sounds like you enjoyed having lunch with your friends. That's nice you're able to walk with Sam throughout the day. I was not rooting for neither team, I just like football. The boys did not have cavities just need to brush better.

Cathy - Great job getting to water walking. So glad you were able to play your game and work on your website. Sorry you were not able to nap.

Linda - Hope all is well with you my friend.

Happy Friday Everyone!

Cloudy chilly day here today. Rain expected all day on Saturday. Did some running around. Ben and I went to lunch with a few friends. This is probably one of the few groups we gather with that is 'couples'. Typically I meet up with several girl groups and Ben meets up with a few boy groups. This group is truly a mix of men and women most are couples but a few are 'singles' where their spouse is no longer here. It was nice to get together with all of them...I thin k it was a total of 20-25 people.

Sam and I walked twice today - once in the morning and then here the evening. Not sure we will really get a good walk in tomorrow with the rain but hopefully we can time it right.

CATHY - glad you enjoyed your new game and that you did your water walking.

LATISHA - I did not watch the game but who were you rooting for since neither are from Michigan? Did the team you were rooting for win? Dentist - hope the boys were cavity free.

LINDA - Hope all is well and you and Steve had a good day.

This is going to be super quick. I went to water walking this morning. The streets were clear and just wet. I tried to nap but wasn't successful when I got home. I did try out my new game and it's fun. I haven't played a whole lot of it and it's kind of dorky but still fun. It would be fun for kids to play too.

We did work on our website more and got quite a bit accomplished. Hoping we can finish it up tomorrow even though we still have a lot to do.

Well, it's really late and I have to get up in the morning to meet my trainer. Talk to you ladies tomorrow.

Congrats on the team win!!

emoticon Happy Thursday! Congrats to the TEAM for WINNING during WEEK 3! I dropped the boys off at school and went to work. I worked a half day because I needed to take the boys to the dentist. Then, I had a few more errands to run before watching some of the Vikings & Redskins football game. Unfortunately, my feet still hurt from yesterday, but I still did a walk workout and I made my daily step goal. In addition, I made my sleep goal too.

Arlene - Glad you got your new furniture! I hope you enjoy it.

Cathy - I see you got furniture too! Oh no! You are supposed to get snow already. I love Bed Bath & Beyond. Hope you get to play your game this weekend.

Linda - Hope you had a wonderful day.

Happy Thursday everyone.

Great job TEAM. We took week 3 of the challenge. That's what team is all about!
T - Together
E - Everyone
A - Achieves
M - More

Got up early this morning. Vacuumed the carpets and moved out all the remaining furniture in the living room in preparation for the new furniture delivery. They came right on time which I was very happy about. There were 2 young guys moving it in. Within 30 minutes they has it all un-packaged an in place. To think it took Ben and I a few hours to remove the old stuff and load on the truck. What a difference 35 years make...LOL

I folded up some clothes today too and of course walked Sam. She did not see any squirrels today so I think she was a little bummed out.

CATHY - see you had furniture delivered too. Can't believe you got snow already and 3-5 inches at that That's such a bad S-word to hear this time of year. But being in Colorado, I suspect your guys can't wait for it. Winter sports pretty much need it.

LATISHA - sorry to hear your busy day gave you a headache and achy feet. I hope you were able to soak them a bit and that you were able to take something for the headache. Glad your hubby only has a band-aide on his foot now but what a time he must behaving.with not walking. I would hate not being able to walk or to be in so much pain when and if I did walk. Hope the rest of his recovery goes fast. With all the work and running you did do, I'm glad you got all the steps in to meet goal. You sure were busy. Granted my boys are all grown but I often wonder now how us mom seem to always keep it going. Taking care of the kids, cleaning the house, doing laundry, cooking, taking kids to their sports, and working a full time job. I'm sort of retired now, no kids and there certainly are days when I can't seem to get it all done anymore. Guess that's what being a mom is all about...everyone else. We can't afford to have a selfish bone in our body. Thanks for the info on your job. It sounds very interesting (being in the science department too!) and sounds like there is plenty of responsibility with it too. I do hope you get the position full time/permanent.

LINDA - your tattoo sounds awesome and creative. I hope when you do get it, you take a picture of it and post it. Grumpy old men - yes, we all know of a few....at least one anyway.

Hello Friends,

Today has been another one of those days where I didn't get much done. The movers came around 10 am. We moved some things around so we could put the furniture in here. I did a little bit of cleaning and I did a load of laundry. I also worked on getting the BSG Challenge ready for next month. I also did just tiny bit of work on the website.

It started raining here around 3 and by 3:30 we were get a mix of rain and snow. By 4:30 it was just snowing and really coming down. We're supposed to get 3 - 5 inches of snow between tonight and tomorrow morning. I don't think I'll be going to water walking tomorrow.

We went to Bed, Bath & Beyond this afternoon to get a table cloth and something to put on the dressers that we got from our friend Dave's parents' house.

I didn't get a chance to play my game but I'm hoping tomorrow I will.

Arlene - Good job going for a walk in the morning and afternoon with Sam. Wow, I'm surprised it was warm enough for a t-shirt. Even if you did have to put on a little jacket your weather was considerably warmer than ours. Your dinner sounds good!
Oh my, that's quite a combination for a dog! It sounds like she's a real sweetheart. I don't do the half cup of tea often. Only when I'm having a bout of insomnia and can't shut my mind off. I will be sure to give all of you my 'official review' when I've played it. lol Ah, that's why Basa fish sounded familiar. I've had Swai fish before and it is a very mild fish. Glad you liked my Minion post. I too believe in being charge of your own happiness.

Linda - That's funny that you have a grumpy old man too! Is Steve looking for a new job? It sounds like both of you have a lot on your mind. When are you going to get your tattoo? How are all of your pets(fur and feathered kids) doing?
We do have a lot of movie theaters here in the US. Just where I live we have around 8 theater complexes with many theaters inside.

Latisha - Thank you for turning in the points for our team. I'm sorry your day was so busy that you had a headache and that your feet hurt. Gosh, I'm so sorry to hear your hubby's foot is trying to heal but it hurts to put any weight on it and walk. Glad he doesn't have a bandage anymore and just a band-aid. You certainly had a busy day! Good work making your steps even though you didn't do your walk workout. Great job making your sleep goal again.
I too am sorry I missed water walking. Thanks, I'll be sure to let all of you know how well I like it.

emoticon Happy Wednesday! Thank you for posting your Week Three Points. I submitted our points early today so we are all set. Today was so busy. I am exhausted, have a headache, and my feet hurt as I type this post. I woke up and took my boys to school. Then, I came home to help my hubby get ready for his foot appointment. His foot is trying to heal, but he still cannot put any weight on it and walk which sucks. The good thing is there is no bandage, only a band-aid so now I can start trying to scrub off the dead skin. After I got him settled back in the house, I had to run some errands - Target, Grocery Store, Gas Station, IHOP, Bank - I washed 3 loads of clothes too. I cooked turkey tacos today. Before I knew it, it was time to pick up the boys. I did not do my walk workout, but I still made my steps. Also, I made my sleep goal last night too.

Linda - Yes, my hubby is so grumpy because he cannot walk or drive right now. Unfortunately, it puts a lot more on me because I am doing everything around the house, errands, etc.

Arlene - Great job getting in 2 walks today. Your dinner sounds delicious. I work for our county's regional educational service agency. Currently, I am a part-time sub secretary so I float around to different departments as they need help. For example, secretaries who go on medical leave or retire. My current assignment is in the content department. I assist the science consultants with teacher workshops so I schedule the rooms, order the materials, make copies, coordinate payments/invoicing, do the sign ins/sign outs at the workshop, etc. I've been training since the beginning of September and I really like it.

Cathy - Glad you were able to get to sleep after drinking the tea. Sorry you missed water walking. Great job getting to the gym to meet with your trainer. Good luck with the new game.

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

Decent day today. Sam and I took our walk this morning and then went out again this afternoon. I had a T-shirt on and took a route with very little shade. The sun was so nice and warm. When we stopped, I put my little jacket on again - it was actually a little chilly but with walking it wasn't noticeable. I made baby back ribs for dinner today...slow-cooked them for a few hours in he oven and then Ben put them on the grill. I also made a cucumber salad to go with them. I know colder weather will be coming in this weekend. This was sort of my final 'summer farewell' dinner.

CATHY - Sam is actually a mute. She is part brittney spaniel, corgi and jack russel. She is a bit odd looking. Her legs are short like a corgi, her hair and coloring is like that of a brittney and her face is thin line russel. She is odd looking but she is the best. Sorry you didn't sleep well last night and ended up missing water walking. I would never have thought drinking half cup of caffeinated tea would help. If it works, keep doing it. Can't wait to hear about your new ring fit game and what your 'official review' will be. Basa fish is also known as Swai fish. It's very mild. In Florida they use it for fish reuben sandwiches. It is a cheap type of fish. I think it is considered to be like a type of catfish and it doesn't fall apart when cooked. It's perfect for my fish stew. Also liked your minion post - I so believe in being in charge of your own happiness.

LATISHA - preparing for workshops sounds like interesting work. What kind of workshops will there be? Is this for a school of some sort or a business? I would think you have to have amazing organizational skills to put things like that together and get all the prep done. Hope hubby's foot appointment went well and nothing found to delay his progress. Also glad you hit your sleep and step goals. You are on a roll...keep it up!

LINDA - Hope your day went well.

Hello Friends!

I had another jam packed day today. First, I got up late and didn't go to water walking because I had a bad case of insomnia last night. I was tired but I just couldn't sleep or shut my mind off. Finally, I got up around 3 am and made myself a cup of regular tea. Oddly enough, I have found that if I can't shut my mind off, drinking half of a cup of caffeinated tea helps to shut my mind off and helps me to sleep as long as I don't drink a full cup. I did finally get to sleep sometime after 3:30 am.

I did meet with my trainer this afternoon. I got there early so I could get on the treadmill for about a half hour. I was going to go to aqua zumba tomorrow at the other Y but I forgot that the furniture from our friends' parents house is being delivered sometime tomorrow.

This afternoon while posting to our facebook page, I noticed someone had posted something that caught my eye in one of the groups I belong to about a video game. We have a Nintendo Switch and there is a new video game out for it called Ring Fit Adventure. The games comes with this ring that's kind of like a yoga ring except padded and a leg strap. You do all kinds of things with the strap on and the yoga ring that you follow along with on the game. We went to the mall this afternoon after I got done at the Y and after we went to get some coffee. We went to Dick's Sporting Goods so that I could get a better backpack to carry my towel and other things when I go to water walking. We found one and then we thought the mall had a Game Stop store in the mall. We walked to many different areas of the mall before we looked at the directory only to find out that there isn't a Game Stop in the mall anymore. Came home to put the birds to bed and then went out again. This time we went to a Best Buy further away than the one closest to us because according to their website they had several in stock. Got there and found someone to help us. Even according to their computers they had some but the guy checked everywhere and couldn't find any. There was a Game Stop just a mile or so away from Best Buy and they had several. So, I got one I can play with tomorow, hopefully. Stopped at the grocery store to pick up a few items before coming home to make dinner.

Sorry, I never got a chance to write my blog this week. I'm hoping this coming week I'll have a chance but I also have to get things ready for next month's BSG Challenge, so I may not get a chance to. I will total my points tomorrow after breakfast.

Arlene - Thanks for the reminder about this being the last day of the challenge for week 3. That grocery store certainly has some exotic food. I don't think I could eat snake. That's a little outside of my comfort zone. lol I've never had Basa fish. I think I've heard of it before though. Wow, who could afford snake or Geoduck at those prices?! Even if I could, I think that's just ridiculous to spend that kind of money on food. Good thinking to move your old living room furniture out since your new furniture will arrive tomorrow. That's funny you found one of Sam's toys under the couch and that she's been playing with it since. What kind of dog is Sam? I think you said at one point in time but I don't recall what breed of dog she is.
Hahaha There are times when I call Peep a grumpy old man! Sometimes I also call him the grumpy troll under the bridge. LOL Yeah, I think I'm going to foam roll tomorrow.

Latisha - Glad you were busy at work until lunch. I hope the doctor will say your husband's foot is doing better. I hope you are able to accomplish everything you want to tomorrow after taking your husband to his doctor's appointment. Great job meeting your sleep goal and your step goal!
Yes, you said you would do the points for Week 3 and 4. Thank you for turning the points in for our team for this week and next!

Linda - I hope you had a good day!

Goodnight Friends!

My Week Three Points = 1,825

Today I went to work and had a full day of preparing for upcoming workshops. It was great to be busy from morning to the afternoon with a break for lunch. Tomorrow I am off so I can take hubby to the foot doctor. I should have time to do laundry, clean my kitchen and do some writing for my Renew Inspiration blog. I met my sleep goal last night and I did my walk workout so I met my daily steps as well. Now, I am ready to go to bed so I will have a short post tonight.

P.S. Please let me know if I am doing the points for Week 3 and 4 (I believe I read that at the beginning of the challenge. If so, I will do the numbers tomorrow when everyone post their numbers. Have a wonderful night!

Hello Super Stretchers!

Happy Tuesday. Today is the last day of the challenge week. Be sure to turn points in tomorrow.

Ben and I went to an international grocery store today called Jungle Jims. It's about 40 minutes from the house going towards Cincinnati. We usually go down once every month or so. They have some very interesting food choices and lots of really good imported beer. Today I noticed they had Burmese Python on sale - $33/pound...yep that was a sale price. They also had a package of rattlesnake that was going for $160/pound. That just grosses me out - eating any kind of snake at all. We actually went there to get the fresh wild caught salmon. and Basa fish (I use it in my fish soup/stew) I did notice they had live Goeduck for $35/pound. I've only seen it on Top Chef I think but who can afford that price..no wonder these top chefs might be the only ones who know how to cook them.

When we got back we moved out our old living room furniture as the new furniture arrives Thursday and we have a few things going on tomorrow so we weren't sure we would get a chance to move it out if we waited. I found one of Sam's toys under the couch - it was a glow in the dark rubber ball. She has been playing with it ever since we found it.

LATISHA - I had no idea about the air fryer. I'll have to check FB again for one or maybe just ask Santa for one this Christmas. I don't deep fry anything. I will bake it in the oven but they just don't really taste the same. Sounds like the air fryer is the answer. Good job on meeting both our sleep goal and step goal. I hope you hear soon about the position. Glad things are all coming together nicely in the position. It sure would be great if you got it permanently.

KATHY - Peep sound grumpy...is he becoming a grumpy old man? LOL I hope you were able to get to water walking and meet up with your trainer today. You might be right about the foam rolling.

LINDA - I don't like dentists either. I always have the feeling of chocking especially when they lay the chair back so far. I too have sensitive teeth. They have to numb them a bit even before doing a cleaning. I never used to have to do. I do use Sensodyne Rapid Relief Sensitivity Toothpaste. It seems to really help me.

Hello Super Stretchers!

I slept better last night but I didn't feel that great today. Evidentally, Peep didn't either because he was mad and grumpy at everyone. He wouldn't let me pick him up and he'd try to attack his brother, Daffy when he got close to him. He wouldn't let Randy touch him either.

I worked on our website pretty much all day. I didn't get very far, unfortunately. I really don't like programming websites. Things just never seem to work the way they should.

As long as I'm feeling okay tomorrow I'm going to water walking and then later in the afternoon I'll be meeting with my trainer. Hoping to get a few errands ran tomorrow too.

Arlene - Good job taking your walk with Sam. Glad you were able to get so much sorting done in the garage. It'll be nice when Ben gets his things organized so you can put both cars in the garage.
I think my back was bothering me because I didn't foam roll at all this past week. I need to remember to foam roll after I meet with my trainer. I think I need to start doing it every day. I think the weather probably had an impact on it too. That's cool you've sold so many things on FB marketplace with good success. I might have to try it if we ever need to get rid of something.

I don't think I'm going to have time to write my blog this week. :(

Linda - I have sensitive teeth too but I use a toothpaste that helps with the sensitivity.
I really enjoyed Bohemian Rhapsody and might watch it again. I have never seen the musical. I'll have to watch it if I can find it.

Latisha - Good job accomplishing some tasks on your own. It does feel nice when your training and not taking all comes together. I hope you'll be able to stay in that department. We had a little rain over the weekend but not much.
My back and head are feeling better but I'm feeling run down. It is fun and relaxing to watch movies. It's something we don't usually take the time to do though. Thank you, I too hope I get some sleep tonight.

emoticon Happy Monday! Today, I went to work and was proud to complete some tasks on my own. It's nice when your training and taking notes all come together. I am not sure if I am staying in this department/position, but I love the work. Only time will tell. It was cool and rainy today which makes the leaves fall from the trees even more. I met my sleep goal again last night and I met my step goal for today.

Linda - I know what you mean about the dentist. I have an appointment next month and my gums hurt already just thinking about it.

Arlene - It's nice to be able to park in the garage, especially in the winter. I LOVE my air fryer. I cook all of my meat in it except for meatloaf, roast, and shrimp. If you season your meat and spray PAM on it, you will get the brown and crispy. We love the taste better than cooking in grease, just saying. We also put my boys frozen appetizers and fries in it. It's fast and cuts fat/calories. It's a good investment.

Cathy - Hope you're feeling better. Watching movies are fun and relaxing. Hope you get some sleep tonight my friend!

Happy Monday Everyone!

Pretty nice day today...warm but they are calling for some showers. Sam and I took our daily walk this morning. Ben and I went grocery shopping this morning too. I continued going through stuff in the garage with Ben. We gathered more for donation and burned a bunch of empty boxes. We are now down to stuff that is really all Ben's - tools that need to be put away, hoses, ice melt and stuff like that. I thin once he gets his stuff organized we will be able to get both cars back in the garage. It's probably been 5 years since we have had any car in there at all.

LATISHA - Glad you are getting your sleep in. More than 7 hours is good. Your breakfast sounded yummy. It's been a while since I have had pancakes. You seem to use your air fryer a bit. I assume you like it? How close does the food come out to tasting like it was really fried? I saw one used for $20 on FB market place and am tempted to pick it up if still available but I'm not sure it the food comes out right or not.

CATHY - Ben and I watched Bohemian Rhapsody several weeks ago too. We both enjoyed it...Ben perhaps more than me. He's way more into music than I am. Sorry your back was causing you pain and you had a head ache. Wonder if you did too much the day before or perhaps the weather had an impact??. You did say the birds were acting up due to weather too. I have sold several things on FB marketplace including 2 cars, a workout bench, bedroom furniture, wicker furniture, some steel toe shoes among other items. I have had pretty good success with it.

LINDA - I agree, the time is flying by quickly.

Hello Friends!

I'm sorry I didn't check in yesterday. The intern, Nick and his dad the project manager came over yesterday afternoon. I thought only Nick was coming over but then Chris came over with him. Which is fine because I needed to discuss some things with him anyway. Unfortunately, though, my back was hurting and I had a headache all day. I also didn't get to go to the gym like I had planned. I suppose it all turned out for the best. My head and back was hurting so much last night that we ended up going out to eat. We went to a Jewish restaurant that's just a few miles from here. We both had a gyro with chicken and falafel. It was our first time having it and it was really good. When we got home we decided to watch a movie on Amazon Prime. There are a few movies I've been wanting to watch. We ended up watching Bohemian Rhapsody and it was really good. I'd heard it was a good movie but it turned out to be better than I expected. I had no idea they had made so many albums or why Freddie Mercury had left the band. After that we did a little work on the website and went to bed.

I didn't sleep that well again last night. Between my back and my head I just couldn't get a good night's sleep. I even got on the inversion table several times yesterday but it didn't help. Randy gave me a massage tonight and I used the foam roller. I'm feeling better now although I still have a slight headache.

I went to Tai Chi this afternoon. Came home and gave the birds their weekly bath. They really wanted their bath/today. The wind was really blowing hard today! I know the wind was bothering the birds today too. Peep was really whiny and Daffy was just plain misbehaving as well as a little whiny. Hopefully, tomorrow will be better for all of us. I also vacuumed the upstairs while Randy bathed the birds and then he finished by doing the stairs and the main floor. I also did a load of laundry. I did a little bit of work on the website but when you're tired and have been hurting it's hard to focus and think clearly.

Latisha - Yay for getting a good night's sleep Friday night. Getting a good night's sleep can make all the difference in your whole day. You certainly had a productive day. I know how that feels. We used to have 4 Shih Tzu's, we didn't intend to have 4 but that's the way things turned out. Anyway, it was weird when I had 3 to bathe and then 2 and then one. It was hard to not feel like something was missing or wrong. Sometimes it's nice to stay in your PJ's all day and not go anywhere.
My back and head bothering was partly due to the weather but also because I forgot to foam roll after all of my exercising this past week. Thank you, I hope tonight I'll actually get a good night's sleep.
You had a busy but productive day again! Great job meeting your sleep goal again. It's amazing how much more refreshed and energized you feel when you get plenty of sleep.

Arlene - Yep, I know what that's like to feel like you got nothing accomplished. Some days are just like that where the day goes by and before you know it it's time for bed. Gosh, your poor son getting locked out the house. Glad someone came by so he could call you and you could call his fiancee. Wow, you and your long time friend must have needed to catch up on a lot in each other's lives. Glad you and Sam got your walks in.
Good work doing some laundry and cleaning out the spare bedrom's closet. Good luck selling the paintings if your son's don't want them. I've never tried to sell anything on the FB marketplace. I've sold many things through Ebay though.
It is really hard to do much of anything when you don't get enough sleep and/or things keep getting in the way. That's funny that you have this image of my cranky birds becoming Angry Birds. LOL I'll bet the image you have in your head is funny! They aren't quite like that but they get into things that they shouldn't (like chewing on cords to my computer or other cord), whining (kind of whiny scream :) ), and Daffy flies at me because he doesn't like what I'm doing or getting after his brother for chewing on cords.

Linda - The 3rd week of the challenge is just flying by. I know what you mean about not being used to having Steve at home 24/7. It was hard for me to get used to Randy being home 24/7 when we lived in Missouri.

emoticon Happy Sunday! I'm posting late again and I have to get to bed. I woke up early to go grocery shopping and to pick up a few items from Target. Then, I came home and cooked breakfast (pancakes, sausage and eggs). Then, I began writing for my blog. After that, I prepped my chicken to go into the air fryer. I spent a lot of time on Spark People on and off. I did my walk workout, blogging, and lots of reading. I met my sleep goal again last night. I got more than 7 hours of sleep and it felt great.

Linda - Glad to see you posting again.

Arlene - Those days come and go. Glad you had a better day today.

Cathy - Hope all is well with you.

Good Sunday Morning Everyone

Ever have a day where you seem to get nothing accomplished? That was my yesterday. Sorry for not chatting; the day just seemed to get away from me.

My son in PA called me at 7:15 yesterday morning. I think my cell rang 4 different times before I realized it was my phone. Then he called the house phone. Turned out he locked himself out of the house and didn't know his fiancee's cell number to call her for help. Guess when numbers are on 'speed dial' who needs to remember them right? He was working on his front door opening/closing it to see where it was sticking. He had nothing but a T-shirt, jeans on and was in his sock feet at 45 F. He called me to call his fiancee to have her come home from work to let him back in. Someone passing by had asked him if he needed help. So luckily there was someone to offer up a cell phone for him to use.

Then a long time friend called around 10. We chatted for nearly 2 hours. Before I knew it, it was after 12 noon and I had nothing done that I wanted to do. I putzed around the house a few hours and just felt like the day go totally away from me. At least Sam and I got our walks in.

Today I've gotten a good start on things. Folded clothes already, cleaned out the spare room's closet and I'll be taking pictures of paintings we no longer want to see if either one of the boys want them. If not, I'll be posting on FB market place to try to sell.

Hope everyone has a blessed Sunday!

LATISHA - it's so important to get ME time. You need some of that everyday and glad you worked some in for yourself. That extra bit of sleep sure did energize you. You got so much accomplished Saturday...good for you.

CATHY - Your Saturday sounds like mine. It's hard to get things going when you don't have the proper sleep or when things keep getting in your way. Guess weather affects our pets just as much as it can affect us. I have this image in my mind of your cranky birds becoming Angry Birds. My picture in my head is too funny; I wish I could describe it to you.

LINDA - hope you had a great day!

emoticon Happy Saturday! I slept good last night. According to my Fitbit, I slept more than 8 hours which is a record for me, especially on the weekend. It felt great. I woke up and started my laundry. Then, I cleaned my bathrooms and kitchen. Then, I swept and mopped each room. Then, I bathed my dog. It still feels weird just bathing one dog. I did my walk workout and gave my boys some practice math handouts to do. We stayed in our pajamas all day. Yes, I refused to go any where today and I really needed that time indoors. Now, tomorrow I will need to run some errands so I will be going to bed after I read a little of my book.

emoticon Cathy - I'm sorry you're struggling with sleep too. It must be the weather. Hope you get some rest tonight my friend.

emoticon Arlene - Hope all is well with you today.

emoticon Linda - Hope all is well with you today.

Hello Stretchers!

It's been one of those days where nothing really goes right so you just throw your hands up in the air and go with the flow. I didn't sleep that well last night. It was really hot in here mainly because we don't turn our computers off and Randy has one that puts off a lot of heat!! He got up early and I tried to ignore that he got up and continued to sleep but that didn't work. We shared a cup of hot tea but that didn't work either. I tried to go back to bed and I dozed in and out but text messages and other things kept interrupting my sleep. I tried to nap several times throughout the day but again some noise or something else would wake me up just as I was dozing off. The birds have been cranky too. The weather is changing and the barometric pressure has been up. I'm sure that's probably why they've been cranky. Needless to say, I didn't do much of anything today.

I'm sorry ladies, I'm so tired my head is bobbing and about to hit the desk. lol I'll catch up with you tomorrow.

emoticon Happy Friday! I am so glad the weekend is here. I feel so physically and mentally drained. I went to work today and had a very productive day. I completed my first sign in process at one of our Science Workshops. I was a little nervous, but I did a GREAT job. I had no errands to run, but I had to get gas before picking up the boys. I was so glad to make it home. Then, I started our laundry instead of waiting to Saturday. I plan to do 2 loads today and 2 loads tomorrow. I will not be staying up late tonight because I am so tired. I made my steps today, but I did not reach my sleep goal. I stayed up too late and woke up before the alarm. ME TIME - I did some journaling and reading this evening. I also did my walk workout.

emoticon Arlene - You really had a busy day cleaning and organizing. Sorry the pine cone coloring project did not work for you.

emoticon Linda - Sorry those people were not polite to you. Great to hear you're traveling next year.

emoticon Cathy - Hope you had a wonderful Friday!

Good Friday Evening Everyone,

Had a busy day today. I cleaned up the kitchen, organized the food pantry in the kitchen, did 3 loads of laundry and decided to clean out the bathroom linen closet. Ben left for hunting...my how much I can get done when he's not around to distract me...LOL

I did the pine cone coloring with the food color. It did not turn out well at all. There was no trace of red at all. So I'm wondering what to do with all the pine cones I collected. NOt sure yet but I'm sure I'll find something.

CATHY - thanks for our thoughts and prayers. Can never have enough of those. Glad you are able to get help with your co-pay amount. That a large sum of money. Glad Randy met you half way...and he had your water bottle too.

LATISHA - glad you hit both step goal and sleep goal. Good and bad that work was busy...it sure helps to make the day go fast.

LINDA - Sounds like a lot of traveling in your future. Have fun.

Hello Friends!

Randy was able to work from home today and tomorrow. It sounds like he might be able to work from home until the end of the year but we'll have to wait and see. Anyway, Randy said he'd take me to water walking this morning but he still wasn't up by about five minutes after 8 so I started walking. There were 2 stray dogs that were kind of following me and wanted my turkey bacon that I had brought with me. I gave a little piece to one dog but the other wouldn't come close to me. He acted like he wanted to but didn't. Randy ended up getting up when I left and caught up to me when I was nearly halfway to the Y. He even brought my water bottle that I forgot. lol

A half hour after water walking I met with my trainer to train with her. I had a protein bar in between to help give me a little energy to do my workout with her. I decided to walk home afterwards. A little later in the afternoon we drove over to the mall but I couldn't find any jeans in my size in the petite section at Macy's or Dillards. I think we're going to have to go up to Castle Rock, town between Colorado Springs and Denver but is nearly a part of Denver now, to the Levi Outlet shop.

I called the billing department for the medical group I go to for my primary care. I wanted to let them know that I got help paying for my copay ($600!) for the osteoporosis shot I get every 6 months. I talked to the lady that is in charge of this area of billing. After we talked for a few minutes she called the foundation that is helping me with my copay. She got things in order with them and affirmed that I do have osteoporosis. My primary care doctor retired at the end of September and I found another doctor in the same group but in a different location closer to me. This doctor is so busy though, that I can't get in to see him until April. She's going to see if she can get me in to see him much quicker than that. Tomorrow, I have to call the office of a new endocrinologist I would like to see. I need to find out if they received the referral from my primary care doctor's office.

Linda - I had already turned in our points but sent Barbie a new email with your points included. She's still waiting for the other 2 teams to turn in their points so it worked out just fine.
I'm sorry you are having internet problems still. I know how frustrating it is to have internet problems. I hope you are doing well otherwise and are getting things cleared out of your parents' bungalow.

Arlene - That is disconcerting that the mammogram came out inconclusive especially since you've had breast cancer. I'm glad you can get the genetic blood testing done next week. I'm sorry you can't get in for the ultrasound or 3D pictures until closer to the end of the month. It's hard to wait when things are so up in the air. Good for you to do everything you can to keep your mind occupied and to stay positive. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers that there is no cancer.

Latisha - I hope today was a better day for you. I like Arlene's idea of having a girls weekend with a few friends. It definitely might help them to realize how much you do. I hope you either call or hear from the HR department about the open position. It's so hard to lose a fur kid and to lose someone that you loved so much. Just remember there is no time limit for your grieving. I hope the good memories you have of both your mom and your beloved fur kid can help you to get through the grieving process. Wishing you lots of luck, my friend!

Hello Team

Well last day of all the doctor appointments was today. I had my OBGYN appointment. Found out my mammogram from earlier in the week was "inconclusive". Supposedly there was an area that didn't come out 'right' and I now need to get an ultrasound and more 3D pictures. Having had breast cancer 15 years ago (w/chemo and radiation) I am a bit concerned even if the term used is inconclusive. I'm sure its better than being suspicious or abnormal but still; I just don't want to go through what I did all those years ago. Given my family cancer history, it was also strongly recommended I redo a BRACA-1 and BRACA-2 blood test again. I had it 15 years ago and was negative but supposedly things have changed and technology is better that they can detect more specifics from the test. SO the blood test is next week. I can't get in for the ultrasound and 3D pictures until closer to the end of the month. My job between now and then is to keep my mind so occupied that I don't think about all this and stay positive.

CATHY - Hope you made it to water walking today. Good luck shopping for new jeans. Hope you find the perfect fit. Glad your hair turned out great and you like.

LATISHA - Sorry you didn't sleep well again. I understand having a hubby and sons that perhaps don't appreciate all you do for them. Fortunately on the occasion when I had to travel for work that was when they all realized how much I actually did and I found out they really do appreciate all I did. So maybe just maybe you need to have a girls weekend with a few friends and just be gone for a day or 2? It might help drive your point home. Wow, that a long time for not hearing back on a position. I would call them and inquire on the status of the position. They may have decided to not fill it after all or for whatever reason and required to keep the posting up for a given period and perhaps it only recently came down and they are just now getting ready to interview. Who knows what the policy is. It doesn't hurt to ask. Losing a loved one or a loved fur-baby is hard. There is always a piece of them in our heart and try to remember all the good times you shared together. I hope you find peace in it all. I think your list will really help. Good luck my friend.

LINDA - sucks to have internet issues. How technology has changed us all.

Hello Team,

I've had a long day and I'm still kind of tired from yesterday. I will be going to water walking in the morning and then 1/2 hour after water walking is over, I'll meet with my trainer to do another 1 hour workout. I plan to go get some new jeans sometime tomorrow, hopefully. My jeans are falling apart and I really need to get some new one.

My hair looks great. As always my sister did a great job. I had a nice time visiting with her as well as my mom.

Arlene - Sorry you ended up being gone most of the day. That's good new about Bem's A1C levels and that his kidney function has remained the same.
I won't really be taking the Karate class. I just get to use Randy's gloves to hit him. Yeah, I can't say that I'll Hate having to "toughen" Randy up a little.... (Sigh)It's a tough job that I won't mind doing. ;-) I too am glad the contractor finally showed up.

Latisha - I'm sorry you tossed and turned all night. Ugh, it makes for a long day the next day. I think it's a great idea to make time for you every day. It's not fun to feel like your husband and sons don't appreciate all of the many things do for them. Wow, I'm surprised you haven't heard back from HR yet. Have you thought about contacting them to see what is happening with the position you applied for? It's so hard to lose a furry member of the family. I'm so sorry your mom's birthday is coming up and that she had passes away right before Christmas. It's not wonder this time of year isn't necessarily a happy time for you. I like your list of healthy outlets and things you can do for yourself. I hope you were able to make it to bed by 10 pm Great job meeting your step goal.
I did do a lot of walk back and forth to the Y. I'm glad you liked my karate story. My husband said he didn't think that it was very funny what his instructor suggested but I did. LOL I've done a little bit of kickboxing and a little bit of Karate. Not enough of either to know if I liked either.

Linda - I'm sorry, I forgot to remind you that our points were due today. I hope everything is alright and that you can come chat with us again soon.

emoticon Happy Wednesday SUPER STRETCHERS! Today was a BLAH day! I did not meet my sleep goal again. I tossed and turned all night. It don't help that I stay up too late as well. I hope to be in bed by 10pm tonight. I am so tired. I have to be honest. I am STRESSED OUT. There's no nice way to put it. I saw my therapist today and she suggested that I make time for ME every day. I thought about it and she is right. I feel my husband (complains about everything) and boys (bad behaviors, slacking in school) do not appreciate ALL that I do for them. I applied for a full-time position at work in August and I have not heard anything back from HR. However, I am working in one of the departments part-time. I appreciate the flexibility, but I am learning a lot to not know if I will be staying in this role or not. In addition, I am still grieving the loss of my pet and my emotions are rising up because my mom's birthday is in November and she passed away right before Christmas. This time of the year just sucks for me and with the added STRESS at home and work, it's important to find a healthy outlet. So here's my list: 1) Library time to read and write. 2) Journaling, Reading and/or Coloring. 3) Salon Day - Hair, Facial & Pedicure 4) Exercise & Walking Outdoors. It's a start and I am going to begin working on ME starting tonight with a 10pm bed time. I did reach my step goal so I am happy with that.

emoticon Arlene - Busy day for you my friend. Hopefully, you're getting some rest. Great to hear about the medical updates for Ben.

emoticon Cathy - You really did a lot of walking back and forth to the Y. Good for you. Leftovers are perfect for those busy days. Your karate story made me laugh. I've never done karate before, but I love kickboxing.

emoticon Linda - Where are you? We're missing you around the chat room. Hope to see you soon.

Hi All,
Busy day today. Ben had 2 DR appointments - one in the morning and one this afternoon. We also went tot he post office to renew his passport. We ended up being gone from the house almost all day. Good news for Ben is his A1C has not changed in 9 months now and his kidney function has also remained the same.

CATHY - glad you might be able to to the Karate class. You sound like you might actually enjoy hitting Randy to help toughen him up...LOL. Glad your contractor finally showed.

LATISHA - sorry you ere not able to hit your sleep goal but glad you made your step goal. Wonder if there is something on your mind that is troubling you and not letting you sleep.

LINDA - Hope all is well.

Hello Super Stretcher!

I will total and post my point tomorrow when I get home.

I am super tired tonight! Hubby dropped me off at the Y for water walking this morning. Afterwards, I showered and dried my hair with the travel blow dryer since it was only in the 50's when I left to walk back home. Stopped at the front desk before leaving to talk to my trainer. We were supposed to meet at 12 which would only give me an hour to be home and eat my lunch before I'd have to leave again. Thankfully, she was able to get me in a little later at 1:30 so I could have more time at home before returning to the Y for training. I walked home, let the birds out checked some emails made my lunch and walked back to the Y. I was home for about 2 hours before I had to walk back to the Y. Considering I was already tired I feel like I did pretty well with my training. I was about 1/4th of the way home when Randy called me to let me know a contractor was coming by at 3 pm. I /4th of the way home and it takes me about another 20 minutes to get home and it was about a quarter til 3. I got home just a couple of minutes before Randy did. The contractor came by but he was about an hour late. He called, though, to let Randy know he was going to be late. The contracter that was supposed to come by yesterday never called or came over. Contracter's can be so flaky!

We have leftovers from last night so that's what I plan on having for supper especially since I'm pretty tired. Tomorrow I am going to get my hair done by my sister. I'm not sure what time I'll be home since the place she works at isn't in the city I live in.

I have to tell all of you something funny. My husband got a black belt in TaeKwonDo years ago when he was a teenager/young adult. Fast forward to now and he decided to start taking a type of Karate class a few miles from where we live. It's full contact, meaning they don't use pads except shin guards and that you will get hit. I can't take the class though because I have osteoporosis. So, the Sensei (teacher) came up with a brilliant idea. As part of the uniform my husband got when he joined he got some open finger partially padded gloves. The Sensei told him that since I would like to learn how to defend myself and my husband needs to build up resilience to being hit. So, he proposed that I use my husband's gloves that he got with his uniform and punch him. Eventually building up to punching him without the gloves. LOLOL I asked if that went for kicking too? hahaha

Linda - It's a shame that no one wants the furniture. Most people don't want outdated furniture though. It sounds like between you and your friends though, quite a bit of furniture was taken.
I hope you had a good Tuesday!

Arlene - WTG on your walk with Sam. Glad you found some new living room furniture you like and that it will be delivered next week. Wow, it sounds like you got your money's worth out of your old living room furniture. I used to make homemade chicken noodle soup bt the last few times I made it the noodles seemed to upset my tummy. I love egg rolls but like you, I prefer to have a little bit of meat in it compared to just all veggies. Baking them instead frying is a much healthier way to make them.
Glad you liked the kitty exercise picture. I tried to upload another picture last night but couldn't get it to work. Maybe it has to do with me being on a VPN. Ha, yes I definitely feel like that at times as well.
I've heard of the book Me Before You. I'll have to add it to my list of books to read. It seems like I don't get much time to read anymore. Oh, Me Before You sounds like a really good book. That's cool that many people came up to you and thanked you for getting after those boys who were playing with the handicap chair for the pools. Well, even if you weren't kind to those boys, it sounds like someone needed to get after them. Their parents most definitely shouldn't have been letting them play with the handicap chair for the pool.
We would like to put on a sun room on the back of our house. The library near us has a big room that is a sun room where you can go in there to sit and read. I'll bet your Florida room is great during the 3 seasons you can go out there and look at nature's beauty and wildlife.
Glad to hear your Dr's appointment went well. I need to clean out our garage some. That's great that the weather cooperated and the temperature was perfect for cleaning out your garage. I'm pretty beat tonight too and was happy to have leftovers.
Our birds are so funny! They have very different personalities and big ones too. lol

Latisha - Oh man, what a disappointment for your team to lose by 1 point. I'm not a huge sports fan but being from Colorado I have to root for the Bronco's. lol It's nice when you are busy at work. It makes the time go by much quicker. Great job doing your walk workout, meeting your step goal and your sleep goal! WOOHOO! Next weekend, I think I'll try do more cooking so that I don't have to cook as much during the week. I'll be sure to let you know.
I'm sorry to hear your son wasn't getting his project done. That's good the school called you to let you know so he could get what needed to work on the project.
Unfortunately, I was up really late posting last night. I have a hard time getting Randy to get to bed earlier and consequently I end up being up late too. I love my birds and am very glad we rescued them. However, I wouldn't recommend having a bird for a pet. They can be loud, stubborn and they can be destructive. I still love them and wouldn't get rid of them for all the money in the world but I wouldn't get another bird. The only way I would get another bird is if I knew of someone that had one and they needed to find a home for it but couldn't find a suitable home for them.
Ugh, you are so right about not being able to shop at just one grocery store. We have 2 that we usually go to. Every now and then though, we have to shop at a 3rd one.
Thank you for totaling your points already!

emoticon Happy Tuesday! Unfortunately, I did not meet my sleep goal last night. I was restless and for some reason just could not fall asleep. When I finally got to sleep, it was time to wake up. I took my boys to school and I went to work. We were very busy at work. Believe it or not, I am still learning new things. I love learning. I had no errands to run today. We ate leftovers. I did my walk workout and I made my daily step goal. Now, I am Sparking so I can clean the kitchen and go to bed.

emoticon Arlene - You were very busy today with your doctor appointment and cleaning out the garage. Glad you had good weather. I hope you enjoyed your soup for dinner as well.

emoticon Cathy - Wow, you were up very late posting! I probably was tossing and turning when you were posting. Your birds sounds so amazing. I never had a bird before. Grocery stores, you can't just shop at one, right? I have a number of different ones I shop at too.

emoticon Linda - I hope all is well with you!

Hello Team

Pretty tired tonight. I had an early DR appointment. All good there. When I got back home, Ben and I spent the rest of the day cleaning out the garage. Weather was perfect for it...warm enough to be in a T-shirt yet cool enough where we didn't really drip with sweet. We have a trunk load that we will be bringing to our youngest and then another pile ready to go to donation. Good thing I made that pot of soup yesterday...I did not have any time to cook anything so I was happy to have the left over.

CATHY - I always enjoy hearing about your birds. I'm so amazed at how much of a personality they have. Sounds like you had a busy day yesterday.

LATISHA - sorry to hear your son was behind the 8 ball. Good thing the school called you so at least he could get what he needed done over the weekend. Weather tonight will be in the 30's with high tomorrow only 54. I guess the heat will be on tomorrow for sure.

LINDA - hope you had a good day!

Hello Stretchers!

This is going to be a quick post. It's late and I need to go to bed so I can go to water walking in the morning. After breakfast this morning we went to the grocery store. There was a lot of people in the store for a weekday but then Randy pointed out that is was a federal holiday which is why there was probably so many people in the store. Then we stopped at Petco to get some supplemental food for our cockatiels. They are both molting (losing a bunch of their feathers) and the supplemental food helps them to feel better. Shortly after we got home Chris (project manager of our game) stopped by for a little bit to talk with me about a few things and to talk to Randy about a few things too. We got Peep put to bed and then Randy had to go to get a little something to eat before going to Karate class. I had to sit in the bedroom until Daffy decided he wanted to go eat his new food. He's stubborn and won't let you put him to bed unlike Peep. After he went to bed I got on here so I could post my blog for the week. Randy got home not long after I started to prepare supper. After supper we had to run over to the other grocery store because the first one didn't carry a few of the things we needed. Now it's time for bed after watching a little tv. lol That was my day in a nutshell. :)

I'll catch up with all of you tomorrow. Have a terrific Tuesday!

emoticon Happy Monday! Here I am again posting late. Tonight the Detroit Lions are playing against the Green Bay Packers. It was a real close game all the way to the end. The Lions made so many mistakes and so many bad calls which caused them to lose the game by 1 point. On another note, I went to work today and we were very busy. Then, I had to pick up a few items from the store before picking up my boys. I did my walk workout tonight and reached my 11,000 steps today. I met my sleep goal as well. Now, I need to get some sleep after this terrible game! Go Lions!

emoticon Arlene - Wow, you were on the go today. Chicken noodle soup sounds delicious right about now. It's supposed to be in the low 30s tonight. Yes, my son waited to the last minute to do his project. The teacher called me on Friday and told me that he was not working on it during class.

emoticon Linda - That's good you're figured out what to do with the furniture. Good luck!

emoticon Cathy - You were very busy today and yesterday. Cooking on the weekend is the way to do it. It saves so much time during the week. Try it some time and let me know how it goes.

Happy Super Stretcher Monday!

It's been rather hectic here today. Seemed like I ran all morning. Went for another nice walk with Sam, then I had to get ready for my yearly mammogram. After that I went to the furniture place to pay the balance on our new living room furniture. We ordered it about 3 weeks ago and it finally came in. It will be delivered next week. Can't wait for it to come. Our current set if over 30 years old and really on its last leg.

When I got home I started a big pot of chicken noodle soup. There are so many veggies in it there is almost no room for the noodles so I only use a few. I also made some homemade egg rolls...shredded veggies and just a touch of pork. I don't make my own wraps...I get them already made from a local Asian store. I just fill them up and wrap them up. I then bake them rather than deep fry. Ben and I had a few for lunch today and I froze the rest. Seems like the rest of my day has been in the kitchen...it's ready for another cleaning.

LATISHA - your son's project sound interesting. Glad he got it done. Hopefully he did not wait until the last minute. My youngest seemed to always do that and I would be going out at 7pm to get the supplies for his project. Then of course he would work on it way past his bed time. I would get so aggravated. At some point, I just said NO and he ended up getting an F because he had no project to turn in. That really upset him but he never waited until the last minute to tell me about supplies he needed for a project again. Sometimes we all need hard lessons to learn. Glad you got your sleep and steps in as well.

CATHY - Loved the kitty exercise picture. Too funny yet there are times I fell like that too.
The book I just started is Still Me by Jojo Moyes. If you decide to pick it up, you might want to read Me Before You first. There are a few characters in the this book that she introduces in her first book. Me Before You was excellent and can bring a tear to your eye. It is a story about a quadriplegic and his care giver. Strange story - while in Florida there were 2 boys playing with the handicap chair for the pools. Being mid way in the book and perhaps a bit sensitive, I really lashed into those boys. More so than I otherwise might have. They at least stopped and surprisingly enough several people came up to me and thanked me for saying/doing something. Seemed everyone was irritated by their actions but no one else said anything. Honestly, I thought someone would have jumped my case about how rude I as to them but no one did. Maybe I wasn't as rude in my words as I thought I was BUT I sure wasn't very kind either. I did NOT curse at them so that was a good thing.
The Florida room is basically a sun room. It's all window...we also have a ceiling fan in it and wicker furniture. I guess it might be more of a 3 season room. I love sitting out there especially in the mornings with my hot coffee.

LINDA - have a great time at the bungalow.

Hello Super Stretcher Friends!

Yesterday, was a busy day. We straightened up the house some more after breakfast before our friend Chris (Newly appointed Project Manager) and his youngest adult son, Nick (Intern) came over. Dave (Marketing) was late because he was up late with his 90 yr old mom in the ER. She's been having swelling in her legs and feet. The doctor told her to go to the ER. Nine hours later, they found out that everything is okay as far as bloodwork and everything else goes. She's been taking pain killers (opiods) since she hurt her back when her husband fell in the middle of the night several months ago and I'm sure that's probably why she is having swelling.

Anyway, Chris and Nick were here until about 10 pm and then Dave left around 10:30 pm. We were both tired by the time Dave left and went to bed not long after he left. Unfortunately, that's why I didn't get a chance to come chat with all of you or to post the QOD yesterday. I didn't anticipate everyone staying so long but we covered a lot of ground and I think things will start to go better now.

I went to Tai Chi this afternoon at the other Y that's not too far from here. It's a much bigger Y. I enjoyed the class and the instructor. He's a little hard to understand because he definitely has a strong Chinese accent but I think I'll get used to it after awhile. I had no idea there was 42 different types of Tai Chi! I'm glad I went and will definitely be going again.

Latisha - I hope you are able to get back on track again with your step goals and sleep goal. Thank you for helping our team win Week 1! Good work getting your laundry started on Friday.
I wanted to go grocery shopping today but it just never happened. I'll have to go tomorrow. Wow, that's pretty cold! It seems like the cold temps have arrived weather we like it or not. I'm going Wednesday to where my sister works in the city south and west of us with my mom and her husband. They are also getting their hair cut tomorrow as well. I always feel better after getting my hair done too. Good job getting a workout in. Every little bittle of exercise we do helps. Even the SparkGuy says that as little as 10 minutes makes a difference. Be proud of doing however much you did. Good work getting 11,000 steps in and getting more than 7 hours of sleep on Friday night. I always feel much better about everything when I get enough sleep. I have read several of your blogs but it seems like every time I get ready to respond I get interrupted and then never get a chance to respond. You're good at writing.
I plan on sleeping in tomorrow morning. I just have to go grocery shopping and I need to run over to the mall to get a few more pairs of jeans. Mine are all wearing out or getting big. I should do what you do and cook a few meals on the weekends so I don't have to cook so much during the week. Woohoo, great job meeting your sleep goal again. I'm sure you probably met your step goal.

Arlene - I was going to do my blog the other day but I just never got a chance to. I'll do my best to read your blog tomorrow.
I've already had to wear long pants and long sleeved shirts as well as long socks. I think the temp is supposed to be in the low 70's here tomorrow and then in the mid 70's Wednesday and Thursday so maybe you'll get the same weather we're getting.
Good work getting the kitchen cleaned up and the laundry caught up. What book did you start?
Yeah, it was a shock to find a flood like that in our basement. Thankfully, the sump pump tried to keep up with pumping the water out otherwise I imagine it would have been much worse. I'm also thankful that it happened after we got home and not while we were in Seattle. Our insurance is through Progessive where we have our car insurance. This is the first time we've had them for our insurance and so far I'm really happy with them. We did definitely have a lot of work in front of us preparing for the company meeting. I dislike cleaning the bathrooms too. We have a deal, I clean the bathrooms and Randy vacuums most of the house because it's too hard on my back. We have 3.5 bathrooms too. I haven't cleaned the basement bathroom since the flood. We very rarely use the bathroom in the basement. That's good that your husband cleans the 2 bathrooms where he is the only one to use them.
We still have snow on the ground from Thursday. We don't have a lot but we do still have some. What is the Florida room? Is that like a sunroom or something in your house? I hope you have a few warm days coming this week.

LInda - It doesn't matter whether you turned your points in or not. We are all winners! It's a shame you have to throw away your parents' furniture. Good luck getting rid of things in your office. My mom had to do that when my grandpa and uncle died. We all took things we wanted from my grandpa's house but everything else had to be tossed. My uncle's house was so bad that my mom had to pay someone to come in and clear it out because he just had too much stuff that he had horded over the years.

Here's a funny image to help brighten your day! :)

emoticon Happy Sunday! Today, I enjoyed sleeping in this morning. No errands. No appointments. It was wonderful, but really chilly and windy. I put on my smoked turkey drumsticks so I can cook my greens and cabbage. This was my first time mixing them together and it was delicious. I also cooked a piece of salmon in the air fryer for my husband. He'll probably eat that tomorrow. I love to cook a few different meals on the weekend so I don't have to cook much during the week. I met my sleep goal last night and I am close to reaching my daily step goal too. I just finished doing a walk workout. I decided to take a break to do some Sparking.

emoticon Arlene - I see you're having another chilly day. I love turkey chili too! I cooked some last week. Glad you did not need to turn on the heat yet. My son had to build his own Utopia using cardboard and colored paper. It turned out pretty good. I am glad it is done.

emoticon Linda - Yes, it felt so good to get pampered at the salon yesterday. Good luck with your cleaning projects. It's always good to throw out stuff you're not using.

emoticon Cathy - Hopefully, you're having a good weekend!

Happy Sunday Super Stretchers!

Another chilly day...40 F. We did get frost last night too. I came close to turning on the heat but I just added a sweater and I was fine. Later today the Florida Room was nice and warm...warmer than the rest of the house. I sat out there and read the book I started yesterday. I made a small pot of turkey chili; when Ben got back home from weekend hunting we eat it. I thought for sure he was going to put the heat on but he doesn't want to turn on it yet either. Hopefully it will warm up a bit this week.

LATISHA - sounds like out day yesterday was very similar. What kind of project is your son doing? Does he like the topic? Hope you liked your hair style and color. Did you change anything - new color or new style? Great you got 11,000 steps in yesterday AND you got your sleep in too...Way To Go.

LINDA - WOW I totally understand getting a dumpster to pitch things. I would have a hard time doing that. I'm sure at some point when you accumulate so much, turning a "blind eye" may be the only way to make a clean out happen. I know my brother and SIL did that when they had to clean out her parents place after they passed.

CATHY - hope you are doing well.

emoticon Happy Saturday! Today I woke up early and went grocery shopping. I could not believe it was 40 degrees this morning. I found a new store to buy our meat. Then, I had to pick up a few items from the office supply store for my son's project. Once I put everything away, I went to the salon to get my hair washed, conditioned and colored. It felt great. Unfortunately, I did not do a huge workout, but I did get my 11,000 steps in and I did sleep more than 7 hours last night. It felt so great. Once I returned home I finished my laundry. Then, I cooked some mac n cheese and beef spare ribs. It was delicious. Now, I am Sparking and watching TV. After I finish Sparking, I plan to do some writing.

emoticon Arlene - Yes, I agree it was quite chilly this morning. Good job with cleaning your kitchen and doing your laundry. I did the same thing today as well.

emoticon Cathy - I hope you enjoyed your Saturday!

Happy Saturday fellow Super Stretchers,

Chilly day today. I actually had to put o long pants...and socks. I've been wearing shorts or Capris and flip flops on my feet unless I was out walking. Then I would wear sneakers of some sort. This morning my legs were too cold so I had to break down and get the long pants and slippers out...socks & shoes when I went out with Sam. I wonder if we will get any Indian summer or if we had it last week.

Anyway, I got the kitchen cleaned up as well as all the laundry caught up; went grocery shopping and picked up a few prescription at the drug store. I started a new book too.

LATISHA - Hope you were able to make you sleep goal last night. I'm sure you will get back on track with your daily step goal as well.

CATHY - I can't even imagine finding a flood like that in your basement. You must have a good insurance company for them to move on it as quickly as they did. Seem like you have a lot a lot of work in front of you just preparing for the company meeting at the house. I dislike cleaning the bathrooms...I think I would just block the upstairs off and not let anyone up there. We have 3.5 bathrooms at the house. One I use and I clean it. The half bath if on the main floor and I clean this one too. There is a full bath in the basement and since Ben is the only one that uses it, that is his responsibility. The other full bath is also one he only uses so that too is his responsibility. It all works out I guess.

LINDA - safe travels as you go to the bungalow.

emoticon Happy Friday! CONGRATS to the Super Stretchers for winning Week #1!

I went to work today. It rained and it was really cool outdoors. No errands to run today. I started my laundry today and did some Sparking. Unfortunately, I am off task with my daily workout, reaching my daily step goals, and getting enough sleep at night. I am hoping I can get back on track real soon. I am going to bed as soon as I finish this post.

emoticon Cathy - Great job for helping the team win Week #1! Way to go for cleaning the house. Glad you were able to sleep in too.

emoticon Arlene - We're all winners my friend! Sorry you're having bad weather. Stay safe.

emoticon Linda - We're all winners my friend! Hope you're feeling better real soon.

Hello Super Stretchers!

WTG! We did it Latisha! We won the 1st week of the October BSG Challenge!!

Not much going on here. I cleaned thw 2 bathrooms upstairs but still need to clean the bathroom on the main floor. Not sure if I'll get any vacuuming done tomorrow morning or not.

I did put sleep in this morning while Randy went to work. Cleaned up the kitchen a little and posted a couple more blogs.

We're having a company meeting tomorrow with the other 3 people involved in the company so I kind of need to finish cleaning up a little more before they come over in the afternoon.

My exercise today was cleaning the house. :)

Linda - Don't worry about forgetting to total your points for this week. You have a lot going on and it's easy to forget when the points need to be totaled by. I'll try to post a reminder the day before.
I'm sorry you are in so much pain today after going to get Indian food. I'm sorry, also, that thinking happy thoughts doesn't help. I hope Steve can finish building the range for the virtual reality archery. Good luck with going to the Bungalow on Sunday and emptying the garage.

Arlene - It sounds like you are going to be hit by the same weather we had. It is nice to have some time alone to yourself. Gun season is definitely dangerous. When we lived in Missouri we always went out in bright orange because we lived in the timber and you never knew who might wander onto your property chasing a deer.
The Beyond Meat burger didn't bother us at all. No, I haven't tried Burger Kin's Un-burger or whatever it is they are calling it. lol I don't eat at fast food restaurants unless it's a deli-style restaurant that serves healthier foods.
Yeah, we got back from Seattle the day after Labor Day at 3 am. I had a doctor's appointment that morning and got up around 9:30 that morning to get ready for my appointment. Went downstairs to take my medicine. I heard water running but I thought the toilet just didn't shut off. I got near the stairs to go to the basement and it sounded like a waterfall. I went down there and saw one of the window wells was full of water and the water had pushed in through where the window slides at the base. The water looked like a genuine waterfall going down the wall and onto the carpet. The next day we filed a claim with the insurance and the day after that they had a company come in to inspect the water damage. All of the carpeting had to be taken out. They cut the sheet rock off the wall under the window. Took all of the baseboards off and drilled 3 inch holes into the remaining drywall. They brought in huge fans and a dehumidifier too.
I too am glad we got the insurance money already. I hope we can find a good contractor too. Once the drywall is fixed we'll probably have Lowe's put in new carpeting for us.
Drums Alive is a blast. Not everyone can keep up with the instructor but everyone does the best they can. I think you could do the drums class. I'll bet you can beat while 'dancing'!
I know, the weather is crazy! I don't remember having so many different types of weather all at the same time either. Glad you had some warm weather with a little bit of rain. Good job going for a walk with Sam. I imagine she loves going for walks with you.
I hope the pinecones turn out. I'm looking forward to seeing the photos.
You are so right! Our weather is really crazy. It was in the 50's today and supposed to be back in the low 70's again by Monday.
As much as I wanted to get more walking in yesterday I was glad Randy was able to pick me up even though I was half way home. You are right, every little bit helps.

Latisha - I'm sorry you missed your sleep goal Wednesday night. Good for you bringing something to read and write with. The growth on your husband's foot sounds painful. Glad he was able to get it taken care of and I hope his foot heals quickly.
Thanks, I hope I can get the blogs finished over the weekend. :)
I hope you had a good day today!
