Not fun - I also suffer from migraines, although thankfully not morning headaches you seem to be describing. The coffee may work because of the caffeine, which is used to relieve headaches. Anacin, for example.

If you always get a headache in the morning, you may want to have a sleep test done. The headache could be caused by sleep apnea.

I have sinus issues and for a long time thought the headache I wake up with every morning that can last almost all day, was from them. The sinus meds never seem to take it away. I have had migraines and this headache was not a migraine. The only thing that seems to lessen it is caffeine. I do not do a lot of caffeine from beverages because I am a chocaholic and prefer to use my caffeine there. But one caffeinated soda, diet or regular seems to get rid of the pain.

I did research and found out that a lot of Fibromyalgia patients wake with a bad headache that is not a migraine. There are tons of suggestions to getting rid of it. I am starting meditation and yoga to replace my antidepressant, and I know that in time they will help the headache, but I was wondering what other people do for it? I want to give up carbonation and leaded coffee makes my heart beat irregular. So... any suggestions?
