Okay, I think I need to start a new challenge here. I did do strength training yesterday + a 2-mile walk in 39 minutes. I'm in the early stages of training for a 5K next spring.

Toted and put chairs on rack after our Fall Rally, also helped tote tables putting them out and putting them upó45 minutes

Last night, in addition to riding the recumbent bike, I did strength training with weights: 12 sets, 20 reps, in 12 minutes.

I will do about the same tonight (minus the bike) but add two more reps per set.

12 sets, 20 reps, about 10-12 minutes. I used my 1 pound cans of soup. I haven't increased the weight I use because of arthritis in my neck. I tried using the 2 pound weights early in cardio-rehab over the summer, and it resulted in a trip to the chiropractor for a neck adjustment. emoticon

I have mainly just walked but did pick up some heavy tables and move them from my house to the truck. It only took about 5 minutes but no reps.

Yes, LKWQUILTER, we can do it!
I did my stretching last night to start things off on September 1st:

12 sets, 20 reps, with one pound weights (2 1 lb. cans of soup); approximately 12 minutes; 34 calories burnt. I did these before and after my ride on the recumbent bike.

The ladies at cardio-rehab suggested I do them 3 x's/week. If I'm not feeling well enough for a walk or to ride the bike, I at least try to do these. emoticon

Hi everyone! I sent an email to all team members presenting a new challenge. Please log how many minutes (10 minimum, preferably) of strength training you've done at least 3 x's per week. You can do more, and please use at least one pound weights (even use cans of soup or veggies). emoticon emoticon emoticon You may use emoticons too, if you like.
