225, no change, which given the week I've had is a good thing! I've switched everything around and am now trying to get a handle on my bingeing. I'll keep tracking exercise and weigh weekly, but no more food tracking; just trying to eat real food, stop when pleasantly full, and not binge. Easier said than done! I hope everyone has had a good week...awful quiet bunch! emoticon

Thanks ladies. Unfortunately, yesterday I had a complete binge bust. I'm a food addict and have Binge Eating Disorder. Although I typically have many ups and downs, this bad week seems to have started with the French bread I bought Sunday. Years ago I followed the OA plan with great success and this time have not been eating sugar. But I forgot that it also eliminates white flour, and although I wasn't eating much, that white bread killed me. So now white flour is off my list. I'll have to experiment with whole grain pastas, which so far I've hated. Anyway, if I can make it to Friday without a gain I'll be happy!

SaintB's, didn't we have somethign set up for July 4th? I wouldn't mind one for Memorial Day too. I like these short term goals!

Down 6 this week to 225! That means last week's gain was water, but my ring was loose so I wasn't sure. Today is my 4 week Sp'versary and I've lost 10 during that time. It's so exciting to see things go in the right direction! Starting to try on clothes in my closet and a couple of them almost fit. The best things right now are that I'm exercising before breakfast with the 10 minute video from the 28-day Bootcamp, and I no longer crave sugar. I am (was??) a terrible sugar binger and decided to repeat a previous successful method and eliminate it entirely. I've had sugar once in this time, yesterday. At the grocery store they were handing out samples of a new product, a Honey Maid S'mores kit. I decided to try one, which was made on two square sections of graham cracker. The first bite was fairly good, but the second one was hideously sweet AND...drum roll please...I THREW THE REST AWAY!!! How cool is that?!
emoticon emoticon emoticon

I hope all my Spark Buds have success this week, and please have a HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!!!!!!

YEP KLUTZ .... the fitbit lets you know how many hours and minutes you were on your rushy .... I like the concept of the Flex but I like to see my progress during the day and I can check it all I want with the ONE ... the Flex does not have a readout on it ... you have to have a smart phone or computer to see the progress for the day .... I do like the wrist aspect of just wearing it like a bracelet though.

I managed my 5 pound loss but I want to lose another one before Mom's Day .... gonna work hard on it this week ....

LET"S GO TEAM !! one more week !!

Saturday weigh-in ...boohoo...up 0.5# but have to trust it will go down if I am consistent and stick to the eating plan

Might be getting more salt in that I was also might be part of prob. feet are puffy but not hands? different than my usual. Also have had two days of rest trying to get past a fibro flare so less activity and more sleep. On to the new week!

Dancin, are you saying the Fitbit counts SITTING time?! Whoa, I need that!! I didn't buy one yesterday because I am torn between the Zip and the new Flex, which wasn't available yet.

SaintBernard, we all need a little vaycay now and then! I don't think I could go somewhere and not let myself enjoy the foods of that area.

Yesterday was my first day of the 28 Day Bootcamp. Doing just 10 minutes of cardio before breakast brought my energy way up, and I felt great throughout the day. I was not super hungry at lunch or supper and not tempted to overeat fat or volume. I was committed to water all day (not hard at 80*) and drank 12 cups; I'm sure that helped with energy and hunger control too. I ate much less than I thought possible. I like the Bootcamp!

KLUTZ it may have just been that day !! I know my scale "bobbles" ... I really need to stay OFF of it for a week at a time but I'm too addicted to it ! LOL

sometimes we do not eat enough for the amount of exercise we do .... I have a fitbit and I must admit it makes me move .... especially when I see that "sedentary" time going up as I sit here on the computer ...

YOU CAN DO IT !! still time .... good luck on your new challenges ....

emoticon My scale shows a 2 lb gain this week! Is there a ROFC emoticon?? emoticon
Not sure what happened, especially since a dress was noticeably looser yesterday. There is no way I can make a big food cutback, so I've written up a plan, adding strength training and working on walking time and distance. I got some new shoes and will buy a Fitbit. I've joined the Emotional Eaters and 28-day Bootcamp groups. I may buy a new scale too, because it's possible I misread it one of the other times. This one is non-digital, hard to read, and I had the same thing happen a year ago when I tried TOPS, so I'm suspicious. Anyway.....sniiiifffff.....I want those 2 lbs gone by Mothers Day!!! emoticon

Thanks DC! But of course it's pretty easy to lose big the first couple weeks when you have a lot to lose. I have been down this road many times and have no illusions left. Bad food day today; something weird was going on and I ate a lot. Good exercise though. Back to it tomorrow. How has your week been?

Linda, way to go! Considering you started out a lightweight and are more than halfway there, .3 is a good amount, IMO. Good luck with the no sugar!

Saturday Morning Weigh-In 225.5 Down 3/10ths of a pound but still going down...better than the mid week numbers that were up!!! Blood pressure back down securely.

Exercise : elliptical and timer walk, stretches, stairs and Garden work
- - - Chair exercises with videos
- - - Starting routine with physical therapist...just stretches so far
Pedometer : still average 4000 did see 6000 yesterday!
Freggies : 7-12 Water consistently getting in 10+ plus tea
***NEW VENTURE***Reading labels and not buying anything with SUGA in any form except honey, maple syrup, molasses in small quantities to learn to use them [no artificial sugars either]. Reading so many articles I am cross-eyed!! Physical Therapist wants me to go sugar free for fibro pain and general healing in aches and pains along with her work on the joints and teaching strtches and eventually exercises specific to me.

Thanks Dancincajun! (I thought you were Dancin' June from CA but just realized it says Dancin' Cajun! LOL) Can you tell me about your Fitbit? I want to get a pedometer and not spend too much. I see there is a Fitbit model for ~$55, and I'm also looking at an Omron 112 or 113. I don't have a cell phone and don't understand what bluetooth is. emoticon When I go for a walk, I come back and track my mileage here. It's easy but takes awhile. Either one would do that for me, so I am wondering what else the Fitbit would do that the Omron can't. I live in a rural area with poor cell reception, if that matters.

Good morning ladies! After one SP week, I'm down 5 lbs to 230, AND 1" off my gynormous hips! emoticon emoticon I know some of that is water weight and the loss will be slower now, but that's OK. The main thing is a general downward trend, and maintaining once down there. What I'm happiest about is I did NO sugar, NO emotional eating, NO bingeing, and only one incident of after-dinner snacking! What a lovely Mothers Day gift to ourselves!

Hi everyone, I'm new to SP and I sure am up for this challenge! I'm on day 3 or 4 and already feel much better. I will post my first weigh-in next week. Thanks Elsie for inviting me!

I had some victories today. I was at a group meeting where there was a table full of goodies and I didn't eat any of it. Then I went grocery shopping right after something happened that upset me, but I did not buy any junk food. I didn't overeat at dinner or eat anything after dinner, either. Yay!!
