I love soup. She(WMBO) loves soup. My children hate soup. Thank goodness they're moving out.

Soup is so easy to make. Got leftovers? got water? Got soup!

The butternut squash soup sounds good, too. I will definitely try it. Now if I could just get some cool weather. So tired of the 90's and humidity.

Adding the yogurt sounds great

One bite, one day, one pound at a time. Remember you are worth the effort!

Sounds really good.

Try this one:
1 large winter squash (about 2 1/2 pounds), such as butternut, buttercup or kabocha; peeled, seeded and cut into 2-inch pieces
2 medium onions, peeled and quartered
3 garlic cloves, peeled
2 tart, firm apples, peeled, cored and quartered
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Salt to taste
Red chili powder to taste
4 to 5 cups vegetable broth

Directions
Preheat oven to 400°F. In a large roasting pan, toss the squash, onions, garlic and apples with the oil to coat. Season well with the salt and chili.

Roast, stirring every 10 minutes, until the vegetables are fork tender and lightly browned, about 40 minutes.

Put half of the vegetables and 2 cups of the broth in a food processor and purée until smooth. Repeat with the remaining vegetables and broth. Return puréed mixture to the pot. If the soup is too thick, add more broth. Correct the seasoning and heat to a simmer.

I sometimes get tired of the WW zero points plus vegetable soup. A substitute leader shared this recipe with us a few weeks ago and it is now my new favorite.
Asparagus (or Broccoli) Soup

1 pound asparagus or 1 bunch broccoli ( I included the woody stems of the asparagus and cooked it longer)
Chicken broth

Put the asparagus or broccoli in a sauce pan and cover with chicken broth. Cover and bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer until quite tender. Remove from heat and cool. Blend with an immersion blender or in a blender container. Serve hot or cold.

I added 1/2 cup plain greek yogurt to the blender to make it creamier. This adds 1 point to the entire pan but a cup of the soup is still 0 points plus.

With God ALL things are possible.
