Since last week's challenge went through to Wednesday, I've started this one on Thursday. That's when I saw this one posted too. Hope that's OK.

This week we are going to work on giving ourselves the gift of fitness. Exercise is a huge part of a healthy lifestyle and when things get busy, it's often the first thing we let go.

In order to promote making time for fitness, you need to schedule it as part of your day-the same way you might schedule dinner or your kid's bedtime. Set aside time specifically for working out. Make a date with yourself and keep it! For each day that you shcedule a workout "date" with yourself for at least a 10 minute workout and keep it, you'll earn 25 points. Schedule at least a 30 minute workout "date" with yourself and keep and you'll earn 50 points instead! Make a "date" and keep it for every single day this week and earn a 200 point bonus!!!

Another important part of fitness is having a well rounded fitness plan. What that means is that you should have a good mix of cardio, strength training, and stretching. This week, have at least 3 cardio workouts, 2 strength training workouts, and 5 days of stretching after your cardio/strength workouts. If you do this, you have earned 300 points!!

**SUPER BONUS**
One way to work in all three components of a well-rounded workout is through circuit training, which keeps your heart rate up while working through a series of strength exercises. Then you can follow it with a stretch. It's a huge time-saver and a great workout! Try circuit training for just one of your workouts this week and earn a 500 point bonus!! And just a little hint-circuit training counts as both cardio AND strength training!

I haven't done her lately. I have been trying to do the EA games Active 30 day challenge, but I really just don't like it. I tried once b4 and quit. I am not sure if I will make it through this time either! emoticon
I also started the Wii Biggest Loser Challenge, but I don't care for it either! emoticon .
So, I am going to try them again tonight. Hopefully, I will learn to like it, or just switch to something else!

WOW, I forgot to post my commitment and when wanting to post my exercise could not find where to. I am so anxious these days!!!, I feel like I am in hurry al day, and this is not me.

Wed - 2 sets, 15 each of squats, plus 2 sets, 15 each of wall push ups, plus 30 minutes heavy cleaning scrubbing the floor, -

Thu - 60 minutes water aerobics and 30 minutes of water jogging, -

Fri - 30 minutes cardio workout.

Sat - Rest; tomorrow I will be doing the University of Puerto Rico Walk. I do not know the miles yet, but I will post them tomorrow!!! Woo Hoo, my first official walk since ankle surgery, 1 year ago!!!

Thu: 3 miles with Leslie (45 min) PLUS belly toning bicycles for 10 min and a 5 min stretch-50 points
Fri: Remodeled my store at work today and didn't keep my date becuase I was so exhausted!
Sat: I was just lazy today.

This week we are going to work on giving ourselves the gift of fitness. Exercise is a huge part of a healthy lifestyle and when things get busy, it's often the first thing we let go.

In order to promote making time for fitness, you need to schedule it as part of your day-the same way you might schedule dinner or your kid's bedtime. Set aside time specifically for working out. Make a date with yourself and keep it! For each day that you shcedule a workout "date" with yourself for at least a 10 minute workout and keep it, you'll earn 25 points. Schedule at least a 30 minute workout "date" with yourself and keep and you'll earn 50 points instead! Make a "date" and keep it for every single day this week and earn a 200 point bonus!!!

Another important part of fitness is having a well rounded fitenss plan. What that means is that you should have a good mix of cardio, strength training, and stretching. This week, have at least 3 cardio workouts, 2 strength training workouts, and 5 days of stretching after your cardio/strength workouts. If you do this, you have earned 300 points!!

**SUPER BONUS**
One way to work in all three components of a well-rounded workout is through circuit training, which keeps your heart rate up while working through a series of strength exercises. Then you can follow it with a stretch. It's a huge time-saver and a great workout! Try circuit training for just one of your workouts this week and earn a 500 point bonus!! And just a little hint-circuit training counts as both cardio AND strength training!
