I too am joining this late... but better late than never. The reasons for goals is motivation, right!

My Goals for February

Goal #1 is: Lose 4lbs

Steps I'll take this week to reach this goal are:
- Stay in nutritional range
- Drink 8 glasses of water a day

Goal #2 is: Work up to 30 minutes cardio by month end

Steps I'll take this week to reach this goal are:
- Just do a few more minutes each day
-Cardio of choice is walking outdoors, but will do cardio where ever weather dictates emoticon emoticon emoticon

Goal #3 is: eliminate sweets form diet as much as possible

Steps I'll take this week to reach this goal are:
- Add more protein to reduce cravings
- Eat more fruit and Veggies
- Just say NO more often to sweets and yes to exercise.

Goal #1 is: Train for the Royal 5K I signed up for on February 26th, 2011.

Steps I'll take this week to reach this goal are:
-Work out 5-6 days a week, walking
-Squeeze in some cross training


Goal #2 is: No soda at all this month while training

-Continue to drink water (mainly), milk and juice

Goal #1 is: To Get below my lowest weight of 147. I have gained several pounds since I was that weight

Steps I'll take this week to reach this goal are: Exercise at least 30 Min. 5 days a week


Goal #2 is: Drink at least 64 oz of water a day

Steps I'll take this week to reach this goal are: Drink more water at work . I have a tendency to forget to drink water when I get so busy.


Goal #3 is: Stay away from the candy. I have a major sweet tooth. My problem is not food it is sweets.

First of all, thank you sooo much Rachel for filling the gap!! Yes, work has me very very busy right now and it doesn't look like it will change anytime soon. However, I'm definitely making time for my healthy lifestyle, but there's room for little else! Love the challenge-simple works well for the new busyness that is my life!


Goal #1 is: To fit into the dress pants I got for Christmas by my business trip on the 22nd

Steps I'll take this week to reach this goal are:
*Stay on track with my calories which is especially hard to do with all the travel
* Continue to work out at least 6 days a week
*Do core, leg, hip and backside strength training 2 days a week

Goal #2 is: To get my 5K time down to 40 minutes in preparation for the race I'll be running in Oregon in March

Steps I'll take this week to reach this goal are:
*Run at least one day a week
*Try some sprints during my run to improve my time


Goal #3 is: Lose 10 lbs

Steps I'll take this week to reach this goal are:
*Keep calories in check
*Attend my weight loss plus class at the gym every week (as long as I'm not travelling for work)
*Push myself extra hard in my cardio workouts

Goal #1 is: Lose 8 lbs this month

Steps I'll take this week to reach this goal are:
*Log all my food and stay in range every day/be very aware of what I am putting into my body
*Workout 4 days a week.
*Drink my 8 glasses of water daily!
*5K on Saturday is a good start! =)

Goal #2 is: Go down a pant size

Steps I'll take this week to reach this goal are:
*Do Wii fit 6 days a week in addition to my regular 4 day a week work out.
Do 50 crunches when strength training rather than my usual 20 (Not my favorite thing but hey, it must be done!)

Goal #3 is: Learn to love myself no matter where I am at on this journey

Steps I'll take this week to reach this goal are:
*For each negative thought I must come up with 3 positive ones
*Look in the mirror daily and tell myself 'I am beautiful' and 'I look good'
*Remind myself that I am me know matter what size and nothing can change that.
*Tell myself that hating how I look doesn't matter. Because one it's not helpful. Two, before I know it, it will change anyway!

You have set up your goals for this month right? You give yourself 50pints for each goal. (a total of 150)
You have also set up the steps this week in order to reach those goals. Awesome! No points are not given this time for that,just an the emoticon icon.

So for today, when you made any kind of effort for goal #1 give yourself an emoticon icon
the same for goal # 2 and goal # 3.

If for example, if for goal #1 you may be planning to work on it 2 x week, try finding something small, to do on the other days. So you will get a emoticon icon daily. Small efforts daily bring big results!

Goal #1 is: To Learn How To Effectively Stay In My Calorie Range

Steps I'll take this week to reach this goal are: To spread my calories out throughout the day. Stop eating 1 hour before bedtime, and by having a set bedtime, I will know this is coming up and can emotionally prepare myself for it. To put food in Tracker first and stick to Tracker.


Goal #2 is: Develop a Schedule for my days so I have some kind of structure and am not left floundering.

Steps I'll take this week to reach this goal are: To actually make the schedule. Follow the schedule rigidly this first 10 days until it is a habit.


Goal #3 is: Write or work on writing everyday

Steps I'll take this week to reach this goal are: Spend time working on finished work when new novel isnt flowing. To Journal my thoughts out, to help me work through what is going on in my head.

Goal #1 is: To weigh 210 by February 28

Steps I'll take this week to reach this goal are: Go to Zumba (Saturday) and Turbo Jam (Thursday) plus walk one day. Log all food and journal when tempted to eat when not hungry.

Steps I'll take this week to reach this goal are: Look up toning exercises for arms, abs, and legs and DO them!

For this month, we will be MEASURING! As you know, sometimes the scale is not always our friend. But you could very well be losing inches. I want you to have a start measurement. So sometime today, bring out your tape and measure the following: Bust, under breast, waist, hips, leg, calf, and upper arm. Important! Do not post these measurements. They are for you and you alone. I suggest keeping them under your "Weight Tracker & Measurements" page found on your "Start" page, left hand corner. You may want to add your start weight as well.

For doing this you will receive 100 points. But it must be done today!

When trying to make healthy choices, you may already feel defeated before February and the celebration of Valentine's begins. It need not be. We can make it through this month without sabotaging all the efforts we've done thus far!

How? By setting some monthly goals. Determine right now what you want to accomplish by February 28th. How much weight do you want to lose? inches? Is there a pair of pants you want to fit into?

For this challenge I want you to write down 3 goals. These goals should be health related, exact and can be done in this month! For doing this, you will receive 50 points for each goal. Post these goals on your refrigerator, by your computer and your bathroom wall as a reminder what you want to accomplish in February.

We will be working weekly on these 3 goals throughout the month. Now to go one step further, what daily actions will I be taking to reach goal #1, goal# 2 and goal #3? Develop a set of daily actions to achieve these goals.
