I have decided to take this challenge to help kick start my weight loss again and get much closer to my final goal of 100lbs lost. I had lost 30 lbs since the end of November last year and have become comfortable with my weight. I know for health reasons that I need to loose the remaining 70lbs and I think this is the perfect opportunity since I love a challenge!!

I started this challenge because I want to use it as a jumpstart to becoming a runner (via the recently released Spark programs). I feel my motivation slipping just a bit and I believe this challenge will get me back on track. My goals are:
1) complete this challenge
2) reach my next ten pounds weight loss goal by 3/14, half way through this challenge (only 4 more pounds to go!)
3) practice yoga for at least ten minutes a day in addition to my other exercise

The trick is learning how to watch where you're going AND keep your head up.

I am joining this Discussion/ Workout Program/ Group in hopes of becoming not only much more motivated than I have been in the past 2 weeks, but also become more "naturally" aware of what I eat and do on a day-to-day basis... it's harder than I thought it'd be, since you may not always have a chance to eat as much as you'd like (to get your full nutrients), or the chance to burn off calories you've eaten afterwards... I lost 13 lbs in 2 weeks dieting last Spring on here, and I'm having harder time than expected getting back onto this website and through my day-to-day routines... I won't let frustration and stress from this busy year get in my way! I am getting married, and visiting my hometown of Milwaukee, Wisconsin this Spring (getting married September 24th), and cannot wait!! I've always been a great person, now I can show it and feel it by getting to "know" myself... ;-)

I am joining this to create a dynamic change in myself. I have seen 260..something and I'm tired of seeing 260+. I first started my weight loss at the new year and was 287. I hit 260's and I can't get out of them. So, I need a kick in the butt. I am in karate two nights a week, and the gym 3 nights a week. I believe my body needs something extra, so I thought this challenge would be great for me. I look forward to this challenge.

I am joining the challenge because I am really ready for change. I am turning 30 this year and I want to be in a healthier place for me and my family. I am ready to unleash and be the person I use to be. I hope to tap into my old military training and determination. I am looking forward to conquering this challenge. I want to be able to run 2 miles in 18 minutes and reach a weight goal of 135.

I want to make exercise a habit. I am looking to ease into a daily regime and 28 day boot camp is phase 1! lol. Additionally, I plan on losing 10# this month by also following the Spark People meal plan (expensive!) and drinking 98oz of water daily.

I've been stuck on the same weight for several weeks. I've been exercising and dieting, but not losing the weight. So I'm trying this structured challenge to attempt to get past this plateau. I need to change things up and I think this will do it.

Hi! I'm Mali, I've been using sparkpeople for years now. I'm doing the challenge to help jumpstart my weight loss goals for summer. This June will be my 2 year anniversary and I'd like to get back down to a healthier weight and feel a bit more like myself by then. My overall goal is to lose 25 lbs. by mid June and then MAINTAIN in the 150-155 range. Goodluck with your goals everyone!

Hi I'm Heather. I've been doing Spark People for a while, but I have been slacking for a couple of months, and have been less consistent, and have gained some weight back. I need a push, and new motivation. My goal is to recover, lose a few pounds, and/or feel stronger again.

I've gained 50 lbs since moving to the SouthEast (must be all this good food). I'm taking control and my goals are definitely to lose weight and tone up, and a few more:

1. Drink 72 oz. water day
2. Eat clean at least 2 days a week
3. Cut out junk food (cookies, candy)
3. Exercise 6 days/week (this won't be hard as I've working at this pace for 30 days -- so far). I just need to keep going.
4. Finalize bootcamp by doing a 5K to benefit children with diabetes.

Tools:
Power90 - 6 days/week (Beachbody workout);
Zumba classes (2x/week);
Spinning class (1x/week)

Hopefully, by accomplishing these goals I'll cut my risk of developing heart disease (I have a huge genetic risk) by 50%!

I'm looking forward to supporting and receiving support for everyone!

I am starting this challenge because I need to change a few things up and this is the perfect way to do it! I think I can do the workouts in the morning while my fiance is in the shower (he takes FOREVER) and get my cardio in at night on the way home. Here are my goals:

-Complete videos in the morning
-Cardio at the gym after work
-Continue my eating plan
-Drink my water
-Lose these last 15lbs before my wedding!!!

Good luck everyone emoticon

It goes without saying that I want to lose weight. My other major reason for joining the challenge is that I want that feeling of accomplishing a month-long fitness goal--talk about a motivator! (The toning isn't going to hurt either.)

My goal is to incorporate strength training into my workout schedule. I work out for 60-90 minutes at least 5 times a week but I don't do much strength training. This challenge will help keep me accountable.

Ditto. I tend to workout 60min 3 -4x a day, but I am hoping this will help me stay consistent and discpline to do it 5x/week. I WILL make time for the 10min bootcamp video.... Fri-Sun will be my biggest challenge.

I am hoping to lose 8-10 pounds during this month. I've been walking and running for at least 60 minutes a day plus the videos! I have also been drinking an extra cup of water a day, not including the water that I intake during exercise.

I'm starting this challenge to give a little more variety to my exercise time. Right now all I've been doing is walking/running on the treadmill. I'm looking for something more to my exercise routine and think this is the answer.

Goals:
1) To do a video daily.
2) At least 30 minutes of cardio exercise 5 times a week.
3) Watch what I eat.

Hi All!

I'm here to tone up some areas of my body that I'm not so keen on. Also to become more flexible and build my endurance.

I have recently started back to the gym after breaking my left elbow on new years eve. My doctor has indicated that I should start with light hand weights to help build muscle in my left arm again.

Wish me luck as I wish luck to all of you! :)

Hi I'm back! Finished the Bootcamp last week and loved it - it really helped me to focus. I have looked around for another challenge but actually feel as though I need to do this one again as there were a few areas I couldn't complete without modification. So I am back to have another go. This time I am going to do all the exercises properly! emoticon

I joined this team to get into the habit of exercising regularly. 10 min. spurts of exercise are doable. In 4 weeks, I hope to feel better - more energetic, and just knowing I'm finally doing something good for me. Of course, a few pounds lighter would be nice too!
