When I'm going through those phases I do a couple of things. Sometimes I give myself a day to just go through it. I might write it out in a journal- which really helps me put things in perspective.
Sometimes I choose to do at least one goal during the day, whether it's sure eating my 3 fruits and veggies, drinking all my water, or tracking my food. Something- anything, so I don't go too far away from my goals.
You could:
-Listen to a positive, motivational CD.
-Do a 10 minute Spark video.
-Work on a hobbie or something that is motivating. (I like working on my vision collages.)
Reading Sparkpeople success stories helps, or sometimes reading about others who are having a worse time than I am having and commenting on their blogs and pages help.
It's not always easy to come up out of those dark times, but you must always have it in your mind to never give up-no matter what.
You may also want to think about what is causing your depression. Keeping a journal might be helpful. It will help you see possible patterns, which will help you create strategies to overcome those issues. I suffer from depression, and it was always worse around menstruation time.
Perhaps you can speak with you doctor about having some bloodwork done to make sure your levels are in balance.
Good luck in your journey.
