Jesus said, Love one another as I have loved you.

The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. The Lord redeems the soul of His servants, and none of those who take refuge in Him will be condemned (Psa 34:1819, 22).

Every day I am on the verge of making slight changes that would make all the difference in my life.

One day I won't be able to do this, but today is not that day

I am going to keep my daily goal at 25,000 steps per day and my weekly goal at 175,000. My goal is to keep my Active Minutes to above 150 minutes per day. I will also be tracking my mileage and my goal is to walk 10 miles per day. I will also be tracking my floors climbed but as I don't really encounter many steps in my travel I will be interested in seeing how high I can get this number on a daily basis. Keep moving people, I know I will! DON'T GIVE UP!!!

OUR THREAD CONTINUES TO GROW EACH WEEK!
emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED THAT OUR MEMBERS WHO JOIN THIS THREAD USE THE EDIT FEATURE ON THEIR INITIAL ENTRY.
emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
DOING SO WILL KEEP THIS THREAD MANAGEABLE AND ALSO MAKE IT EASIER TO TRACK EACH MEMBER'S DAILY PROGRESS.

An easy way to find your initial entry is to hold down the CTRL key and your F key. This will bring up your FIND box. Enter your SparkName and hit enter. This will take you to your first entry. Click on the EDIT MY POST button and add your steps for that day. Then just click on the POST MESSAGE button and you have edited your entry! If you have any questions/comments please send me a SparkMail. emoticon again!

A BIG THANKS TO ALL OF YOU THAT HAVE BEEN USING THE EDIT BUTTON WHEN YOU POST!!! I continue to be very impressed by your daily steps! emoticon

I love all the activity on this thread! Welcome to each and every one of you and I hope that you accomplish your goals this week. I WOULD LOVE TO GIVE A BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO JOINED THIS THREAD THIS PAST WEEK! We were an amazing 31 strong this past week. This is three less than last week!. I continue to be amazed at your step counts, all of you should be very proud of yourselves! emoticon emoticon emoticon

We are still #1 in the Computer & Electronics category?! That continues to be amazing! As of the posting of this post, we are now at (drum roll please!) 119,979 members strong! That is 294 more than last week! That is an increase of 48 members from last week!!! We are steadily moving closer to the 120,000 mark! This team is truly one of a kind!!!
emoticon Holy moley!

On the news front, FitBit recently rolled out the FitBit Versa and FitBit Ace. The Versa is a less expensive version of their FitBit Ionic (and also has less features) while the Ace is a kid-version wristband that has very fundamental functions. More information can be discovered at www.fitbit.com/
UPDATE: I have been reading a lot of stories comparing the FitBit Versa to the Apple Watch and most are choosing the FitBit Versa. I hope that FitBit will add a GPS feature in the future.

emoticon Welcome to all of our new team members and thank you for joining our weekly steps goal!!!

I love my Charge 2 but I am having a difficult time letting go of my One. My Charge 2 consistently gives me higher step counts which I find disconcerting. I recall that my biggest concern switching from a waist-based to a wrist-based tracker was that my step count would suffer. That has not been the case. In fact, I am convinced that the wrist-based tracker provides me with an inflated amount of steps on a daily basis. I am not comfortable with this; thus, my reason for not letting go of my One. I continue to research my Charge 2 but until I feel comfortable with its data the One will stay with me, too.
UPDATE: This past week the difference between my One and my Charge 2 was over 8%. This continues to be too high of a discrepancy so I will continue to rely on my One.

I continue to lose more weight. I attribute my recent weight loss to a change I made in my eating habits. I love to eat and I never seem to get full. I have to make a very conscious effort to monitor my calories on a daily basis. I begin my day with a light breakfast, some milk and some type of egg sandwich. At work, I don't eat during my breaks, instead choosing to use this time for walks inside our building. I listen to podcasts or music and use my phone to catch up on emails, read, and play games. I find this is very helpful in achieving my daily step goals since I stopped attending the gym (Due to a recent lifestyle change). I drink 6-9 cups of water during the day and eat my "lunch" in the evening. I will have a small dinner later in the evening. I have been also trying to get to bed earlier so this change has definitely helped, too. All of this has resulted in a noticeable drop in my daily calories and my relationship with food. I have literally cut close to 1,000 calories on a daily basis (and sometimes have to push myself to hit 2,000 calories! This is a good change and one not certainly for everybody (or anybody in fact) but it appears to be working for me.
UPDATE: I continue with following this radical plan and it continues to work for me as I am losing more weight. I have dropped 24 pounds in the last fifteen weeks! Also, I have done some further research into this new lifestyle of mine and think my method can be classified as fasting. Now I am not starving myself, I am merely choosing to stay away from food for a certain period of time. I am still getting all of my necessary nutrition on a daily basis. I am really loving this lifestyle.

This article addresses this issue but comes to a completely different conclusion; however, there is some very good information:

Here is an article that talks about some simple tricks to eat less, very informative:

I did not get the opportunity to run this past weekend but I continue to walk like there is no tomorrow. I belong to my employer's healthy living plan and I recently discovered I have logged over 70 million steps since I purchased by first FitBit product! That is roughly 33,400 miles or 1.33 times around the world! Those are figures that I worked hard to accomplish and hope to continue to add on to.

Once again even though the weather might be cooler it is still important to keep yourself hydrated. Here are some links to articles that address the importance of keeping your body hydrated.

One more week in the can. This past week my steps were down as I only took 163,005 steps for the week or an average daily step count of 23.286. I was active for 1,161 minutes this past week or 165 Active Minutes on average per day. I traveled 78.81 miles or 11.26 miles per day on average and I climbed 28 floors this past week. I am ready to improve on these numbers, I hope your week went well!
