September's challenge for Fire and Ice...water, water, water. Try and ditch the coffee and soda and chug some extra water this month. Great job everyone the numbers are looking great!!!

Okay, I amazed myself today! I finally got to the zumba class at my local Y...what an AWESOME workout!!

60 mins of fun booty shaking and hip action. Oh man, am I feeling the abs!!!

And the best part...my daughter (a runner, swimmer, and really fit) and her friend both gave up after 45 mins!! I made it through the WHOLE class...woooooo HOOOOOOOO!

Checking in after a month of being on FIRE (and ICEing my legs every other day, lol)!

My next weigh in is not until Wednesday, but as of today I am down 15 pounds since the beginning of this challenge. My pants are too big and unfortunately, innocent bystanders are unaware of the flashing risk they run by being near me.

At the beginning of this challenge a month ago, I could manage 20 minute or so on the elliptical. Now, I am doing the C25k program (on week 3 now) and today I clocked in 65 minutes, oh yeah, I said *65* minutes, on the elliptical!

At the beginning of this challenge, I was doing strength training on weight machines 3x per week. I still do strength 3x per week, but now most of my exercises are off the machines and I have altered my workouts to be circuits, giving me a bigger calorie burn.

Oh my gosh...took measurements today and weighed in... inches are falling off and so are the pounds...I am so close to the 180's I could just burst!!

Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!

Not sure what I did, but am up quite a bit. usually I weigh in on Fri. or Sat. morning. Weighed in @ night before work? I hope this is part of it. Keep up the good work to all those participating.

Checking in...Weighed this morning, I FINALLY reached my first major goal(getting below 270)...I am 269!!!! It feels sooo incredibly great!
For the last 2 weeks I finally added Cardio 2 times a week, I am treading water for 30 minutes each time. (it is all the exercise my body can handle.)
So, I am going to try to add 10 min of strength training 2X, to my upper body this week and up my swimming to 4 days...

*08/03/09* I finally reached my first MAJOR goal, Getting BELOW 270!!!
Set my next goal of 250...

Good call. I think it helps to have a place to check in, stay accountable. I've done a better job, I think, of not munching as much this weekend and drinking alot more water. The weekends are hard for me because I get bored and the snacks are RIGHT THERE!! So now starts the work week...and keeping to my planned gym schedule!
