These stories are awesome. They totally made my day today. I have another story about one of my nieces. I live in Wisconsin, so as you can imagine, lately it has been all about the Packers everywhere. A few weeks ago, I was at my parents house for a packer party, and my niece was in the other room watching a movie. My mom and my sister tend to get really loud for Packer games, and as the Packers were scoring my niece runs out and says, "Grandma! YOU are hurting my ears!" My sister-in-law replied with a, "No she isn't." And my niece turned around and screamed at the top of her lungs, "GO PACK GO!!" And left the room.

My almost 5-year-old is into all the normal things, I guess. She loves watching Nightmare Before Christmas as well as My Little Pony and She-Ra. On a regular basis, she can be seen in the back seat of the car while driving with her hands hanging out of the windows. Upon inquiring what she was doing, she said, "I'm charging my powers in the sun." (Which of course has nothing to do with any of the above shows.) I just nod, smile, and say ok Sweetie.

"I would rather be hated for being who I am than be loved for being someone I'm not."

I saw this on the back of a Type O Negative album (I've forgotten which one) and I really liked it. I've been borrowing it ever since.

Enjoy!

Awww! That's too cute! My 6 year old knows all about zombies. I guess you could say he's obsessed. We get a gaming magazine that he loves to look at. There was a big article once about Left for Dead 2 with lots of pictures. After he took one look he was hooked from then on. He loves to draw pictures of them. Needless to say his red markers are all used up LOL! The other week he drew a picture of a zombie with a speech bubble that said "BRAS!!!" I was like, "um, Ethan, what does that say?" He goes, "duh mom, it says BRAINS! Zombies eat brains you know" It was too funny.

Yeah, Mouse is a little weird. OMG I'm glad that your cat didn't get sick... lol My fiancÚ's parents cat loves green olives too. He actually treats them like cat nip... weird...lol
Ok, so my niece is 3 years old (My favorite age) and my sister, who can b a little immature at times was walking around saying "Brains" in her creepy zombie voice. So my niece, being the sponge that she is, decided to do the same, and then decided that she wanted to know what all of this brains business was about. My sister asked her if she ate brains, and she said, "No, I don't" Then my niece decided to ask me if I ate brains. I replied, "No, Zombies do." So now when my sister asks my niece who eats brains, it never fails, she answers "ZOMBIES" in her scariest zombie voice. It's too bad that she doesn't know what zombies are, and what is all involved in brain-eating...lol

Wow Altoids? They're so strong my cats would run a away from the smell! When I was living with my mom we had a cat that loved green olives, pepperoni, and beef jerky. I guess he just loved salty stuff! I had a little bag of jerky in my purse one day and he took it out of my purse, ate through the plastic and ate the entire contents including the little "do not eat" packet that they put in them to keep the moisture out. I though he would get sick for sure! But other than the kitty litter box getting um...fuller than normal...lol he was fine!

My cat, Mouse, loves Altoid mints. She was a stray, so she normally wants a piece of whatever we are having. She has had raw onion, lettuce, tomato, taco bell, southwest sauce, banana peppers, and cereal. Most things we just let her have a little taste because we don't know how her body is going to react. And of course, nothing that would actually harm her like chocolate. We had to hide the mints from her because she was licking the top of the tin. And we were afraid that she would get sick.

Most of the kids (and pets) in Tim Burton's movies do something so unique that it's hard to forget. Little Willy Wonka wasn't allowed to have his halloween candy, so after his father burned most of it, he stole a piece from the ashes in the fire place. Zero loved to play fetch with Jack's rib, and had a beautiful glowing pumpkin nose. Little Jenny (in Big Fish) was obsessed with a ten year age difference, and threw Edward's shoes on the wires. What did your child do today? (Pet stories are also welcome here, since they can be just like children sometimes.)
