Wk 1 Day 1 Stationary bike 35 minutes 7-8mph 4miles at medium tension ---
Day 2 -Treadmill - flatdue to back surgery/neuropathy - 1.8-2mph - pulse under 120 = .35mi
Day 3 - walking in church building and groc store - 1200-1500steps but didn't use pedometer
Day 4 - Seated elliptical - simplest of the machines for me - good for Monday because I don't feel very energized - very sleepy in afternoon -
Day 5 - still very sleepy - so napping today - concerned that it may be heart related but BP and oxygen numbers are good - and seem to be sleeping good at night - mystery - mybe just the winter blahs.
Day 6 - walked 1.7 miles in Walmart - some at a good pace and other kind of slow - the cart gives me security with my neuropathy - but having more balance probles when I reach on shelves for things so this slowed me down. Beginning to doubt I I can do even a therapeutic 5K but will keep trying for a while longer
Day 7 15 minutes on stationary bike - =2miles and no pain!

Started Day1 today - I was hoping it would just be me and the earphones but my youngest decided to come along "to help me up any big hills" :D Ended up doing a 35 minute walk at a fairly decent pace so I can't complain.....plus I was lugging 6 litres of water and a load of shopping home as well :)

Starting Wk 1/Day 1 today!

I am talking an Ocean-side walk tonight with my dog while my husband takes our children to play at the park. I've downloaded my walking app and ready to go after dinner!

Trying to live as best as I can according to God's Plan including a Natural and Holistic Health lifestyle.

I am the Pumpkin Queen! And Watermelon Queen, and Tomato Queen, and Zinnia Queen, and Sunflower Queen, etc...

Victory Garden Obsessed!

The world would be a happier place if we all grew some pumpkins!

today marks my day 1. did my 15 min continuous walking. then added some separate walking/dancing as well. so im up to about 33 mins of fitness activity today and hope to get some more when i get off work.

My Day 1 was yesterday and I walked for 15 Continuous Minutes. My left hip was hurting a bit but I didn't stop. Today I did cross training by using strength training. Looking forward to Day 3. Great job, Gloria! Keep motivated!

I finished this challenge last week by walking a 5K with my church as a fund raiser for a new Children's Annex. I came in last, but I did finish! Here I am again on my Day 1 to keep myself motivated. emoticon

Day 1 walk went great. I walked alone since my normal walking buddies couldn't coordinate their lunches. I did about a mile in 20 minutes. Not a record for me, but I am pleased with the results. Looking forward to walking again tomorrow and Thursday with coworkers!

Week 1 day 2 - this is a rest day for me - I don't do exercise bike or treadmill but do walk ALL the aisles of our small town grocery store just to get some steps in and pushing the small cart is more normal patterning than the single cane and I feel "normal" that is so good for my recovery!!!

Good nap and staying on course with my eating plan - a great day!!!

I started over today also
I still can't walk 15 minutes but can do exercise bike 30 and have started the treadmill so am hoping to slowly come up to the suggested amount of time walking on it and I check in with my surgeon next week so it should all come together!!!
