Finished week 4, day 1 this morning. It was one of those mornings where I was tired before I started my run. I knew that it was going to be rough. So I decided I was going to do it but I had permission to do the run segment as slow as I needed to go. That worked and I finished the whole training run. The funny thing is, as soon as I finished I felt like it was too easy. Emotions swing back and forth so easily. All in all, it turned out to be a good run.

I just completed week 4, and I'm still amazed I'm able to do this. This challenge has opened my eyes - I do a lot of negative self talking. From the time I finish one run until I start the next I tell myself "oh, it's so hard, walking is good enough", "I can't get up that early, I hate exercising in the dark", "7 courses of jogging for 2.5 minutes...that's crazy! I can't do that", "I'm too old, I'm too heavy, I'm too tired." Then, just like this morning, I roll out of bed, stagger into my clothes, gather my flashlight and water, then hit the road. Within minutes I feel WONDERFUL! So why do I continue to doubt that I can do it? I really need to work on my self-image.

Committed to Healthy Living, not perfection, one day at a time.

Second training day in Week 4 went great, my hubby and son ran 3 of the intervals with me while my daughter carried my work stuff home. Doing my training on the way home really helps me end my day great and I save gas money!!!

Thank you all for sharing your tips and stories you really motivate me!

Ok.....this is week 4....I'm not sure if this is ok but instead of stopping and walking I just kept running. I think it easier to just stay running. I used my interval trainer. I had it set for 8 min run 2 min walk (5x) but I just went thru with it. Today when I ran I just kept running and took 2-2min. Walks during my run. Running both days approx 3.7 miles. Is it ok to just keep running?im not really sure . Tomorrow I will not run I will just walk . I have so much to learn. I'm sleeping so much better at night. This week I have vowed to paying attention to what I eat, eating lots of protien. I'm open to all advice please. Thanks everyone! emoticon

Good that I planned to go walking slowly today as a cross training.

I had a Dr. checkup and they did minor surgery on my legs, so can't do anything but walk slowly for a week.

I started today, but entered the wrong distance into my calendar. I write my distances down, and got an old distance, not today's.

I changed it on my fitness page, but don;'t know how to fix my calendar.
