I would like to check my blood sugar once a day and stick to my meal plan. I would like to be losing 1-2 pounds a week as well. I want to complete this challenge as well. I would also like to know how you add that cool little weight loss goal bar to the bottom of your posts.

In learning a consistent diabetic way of life my major goal is to have enough energy to get through the day without crashing or being tired all day. I had that feeling for a couple of months when I was first diagnosed but it has escaped me this past year. I want it back!

In order to accomplish that I need to reorganize my eating and exercise habits.

Okay, my goals this week are to keep track of what I am eating and drinking. Walk at least ten minutes a day. Make an effort to drink more water. Keep track of my bloodsugar 3 x a day.

I am going to track my menu to see exactly what I eat and to keep doing my walking everyday at least 30 minutes a day and I want to keep doing my exercising classes 4 times a week at least for 55 minutes. I am keeping a journal on what foods that I eat.

Track my menu, eat slower, drink more water and start motivating physically as well as mentally. Start goals are walk everyday for 10 minutes, when working on the comp get up and walk around the house once every hour, stretching for 10 minutes 3 times a day, strength training and cardio as recommended. And keep a food journal of what I eat, when I eat, and my mood when I eat.

My goals for this challenge are to track my food honestly (no fixing the portions to make my calorie numbers look better). I want to include exercise by taking at least one aerobics class per week, plus one run or walk per week, plus the strength training, as suggested. I want to eat the correct number of calories suggested per day.

So for my goals: Get in the habit of walking at least 30 minutes 3-5 times a week, Eat vegetables with both lunch and dinner, Definitely lose weight (the amount doesn't matter,but of course the more the better), Get my blood sugar levels under control, and Fit into a smaller dress. My husband's daughter is getting married Thanksgiving weekend, and I don't want to be a size 16 then. emoticon

Goals: I think I am getting lazy. I was doing really well exercising and want to get back to a routine that challenges me. I want to do strength exercises 3x/wk and cardio every day. I want to get back to logging my food and being accountable. Lose weight? Yes, I want to get to one-derland! I want to finish the Rideau trail walk this year and this goal will help. I want to sleep better which means getting rid of my sleep apnea! Go go go!

Hi, you go for it and you will make it. You won't be hungry if you remember to eat at least 2 healthy snacks and count the into your total calories for the day.

My goal is to lose weight without having to starve myself and keep the weight off. I want to have a second child but I am afraid that if i do now it will be unhealthy for my self and the baby. I need/want to lose about 150lbs and would like to do that by the summer of next year! I know its possible and will work hard to get there!

1) Learn how to go eat an Insulin Resistant diet... low carb low sugar diet.

I will lose 3 1/2 pounds. I will take 5000 steps a day. I will do a T Tapp or resistance exercise session for at least 5 minutes three times a week. emoticon emoticon Cat says, "Small goals, but good ones."

Hi everyone! I just saw this Team and thought I'd join. I'm right on the edge of pre-diabetes and really want to turn my health around. My sister has juvenile onset diabetes and my father was diabetic, as well as many members of his family. So, the wake up call when I visited my naturopath and she took some blood work. I joined TOPS and SparkPeople. I love them both for different reasons. SparkPeople has so much information and support. I'm loving the site! I started water aerobics a couple of weeks ago and love it...I've never had any exercise that worked for me before because I just have never gotten into anything that I could do consistently or sustain. I feel this will be different. I've lost about 8 pounds (6 since joining Spark). My goal is to just stick to a healthy lifestyle and re-learn good eating habits. I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL. I STARTED GETTING ANXIETY ATTACKS WITH WATER AND MY HOUSE BEING TOO SMALL. IF I WENT TO THE DENTIST OR GET MY HAIR DID SOMEHOW I BEGAN TO THINK I WAS GOING TO DROWN WHEN THEY RINSED MY HAIR OR WHEN THE WATER HIT MY NOSE AT THE DENTIST I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO DROWN!

MY HOME I WOULD WAKE UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT I COULD NOT BREATHE I HAD TO RUN OUTSIDE BUT I REALIZE I COULD NOT STAY OUTSIDE AND I REMEMBER WHEN THE BIBLE SAID THINK ON GOOD THINGS AND THAT WAS THE ONLY HOPE I HAD AND NOW I AM DOING SO MUCH BETTER! I WILL KEEP YOU IN MY PRAYERS.

My goal is to get healthy habits, mostly exercise because the food I had it almost under control (I already struggle with the food for almost a year). I lost 8,5 kilos in the last year but my doctor wants me to loose at least 13 more.
I have PCOS a condition that is related to insuline resistance so I have to follow a low IG diet and exercise, exercise and exercise!!! I am very lazy and also I suffer from cardiofobia (I am afraid of exercising because I when my heart beat raises I think I am going to suffer a heart attack and I start panicking). So my challenge is mainly to get over this cardiofobia and to make a 30 minut cardio exercise everyday.

My goal is to lose weight, my aim is 3 stone in a year. My other major goal is to lower my HbA1C which is horrendous at the minute!

I want to get in to the habit of having the proper amount of the correct food and less of the chocolate sneaking its way in! All i can say is thank goodness for smoothies so i can at least get my 2 a day set out in the 1st week!

I want to be able to know in advance what foods i am going to have and the effect IN ADVANCE instead of winging it like i have done sine i was diagnosed.

Sticking to this program and supporting my fellow diabetics (and non diabetics!) would also be a great goal to set!

My goals are to get into a habit of eating right, 5x day.
Recently, during a visit from my daughter from Germany, I passed out twice because of crashes...and she told me she would not trust me with the baby if I didn't get this taken care of.

I'm over the roller coaster from adding sugar to bring it up, then crash then up then crash...so now, I want to get new habits.
I'd like to start losing 2 pounds a week...until I get this weight down to reasonable levels, and then, regain my strength and my confidence to enjoy life!

I am waiting for yet another back surgery - number 8. Ugh. But, that is no excuse. My goals this week are two simple ones that are hard for me. 1. I need to do 30 minutes of activity a day. I need to be careful not to hurt my back more. I cannot walk, but I can get on my recumbent exercise bike or my regular recumbent for 30 minutes a day even if I have to do it ten minutes at a time. 2. I need to limit my night eating to one 200 calorie snack before I go to bed. It needs to be a snack that will help me keep level blood sugar all night. These two goals will go a long way in improving my well being.
