I agree, eating at home really helps me stay on target. I tend to cook with whole foods as much as possible, and I've increased my fruit and veggie intake from 2, to 7 or 8 servings a day. Possibly more because I sometimes count large amounts of the same kind of veggie only once...I don't know if it's supposed to count as more servings because it's larger so I don't count it that way.

Here's a new recipe I made the other day for you that was a delicious snack:
3 inner leaves romaine
1/4 cup sliced yellow bell pepper
1/2 cup jicama, sliced
1/2 cup mango, diced
12 almonds
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon cardimom
Here's a picture of how beautiful it turned out (pre spices)

I have found cooking at home really helps me control my blood sugar. My husband and myself made boneless pork chops last night with lemon sauce.
We cooked the pork chops on the grill.
Then in a sauce pan we made the lemon sauce by combining one fourth cup of lemon juice and water. We brought this to a boil. We mixed in half a cup of truivia. Then slowly mixed in two TSP of corn starch until mixture became thick. We then place it on the pork chops and served it with whole grain rice. It was great.
