Thanks, I've learned a few things from reading these posts. I had a higher blood sugar one morning recently and didn't understand why. Now, I may have figured it out thanks to your help. It is definitely a challenge! Here's to healthy week for all of us!

Thanks everyone for the ideas. I will try some of these to see if they help. I used to exercise first thing in the morning also. Now I eat first and it's harder for me to get it done.
But I do get it in, I just seemed to do better when I did it first. Oh well, here's to changes.
Have a great week everyone.

I am off in to week 4 and feeling great. My morning BS was low today becasuse I exercised late in the evening too many things got in the way. I do it when i can and if its late in the evening it still gets done. The end result was I woke before 6am and I knew it was not enough sleep. I always take my BS no matter when I awake that way Ii can monitor my dawn effect better.
Today it was 82 so I knew I had to eat.

When you test often enough you can read your body well.
Enjoy week 4 and it will get ua all up a notch. Pat in Maine.

I eat a piece of dry 100% whole wheat toast and a small orange before I go to bed at night and my fasting blood sugars are consistent every morning. If I skip this snack my FBS are 10-12 pts higher.

I was having trouble with my sugar rising too much after exercising (about 200 pts) and I found out that I wasn't eating before exercising and my body was putting out sugar on it's own. I used to like to exercise first thing on the Wii and then enjoy a nice breakfast but now I see I have to eat first. It's always something, isn't it???

I have been having this problem for a while now. My Dr said to eat some protein before I go to bed...he suggested peanut butter on a whole wheat cracker. Apparently it has to do with your sugars dropping too low during the night and so your body kicks out some sugars to counter that.

Well here I go into week 4 and I'm feeling good. I've lost 4 lbs. since I've started this challenge which I think is good.

My only concern is that my FBS #'s are starting to go up again. I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong. Any ideas?
