I am meeting with the Dietician for a program called Living with Diabetes at the local hospital.
I will be checking in with them twice a week for a while until I get myself back on track like I would like to be.

The Lord is my tower and my strength!

I am so happy for you!! Nothing motivates like when you find your clothes too big. It is actual proof that what you are doing is working. Nothing is more fun than going out to buy a new wardrobe. What an excuse to get rid of all the old stuff and break out in new things. Way to go!!!

That is great news! Congrats!!

I've been making quite a bit of progress compared to where I was last year. I'm calling my doctor today to make my quarterly diabetic check and I'm seeing the local diabetes center again in mid-March.

Let's control our diabetes instead of letting it control us!

Make today count!

“Eat like you love yourself. Move like you love yourself. Speak like you love yourself. Act like you love yourself.”

“Loving yourself starts with liking yourself, which starts with respecting yourself, which starts with thinking of yourself in positive ways.”

I am doing well and feeling stronger week after week. My FBS levels have been in the 90's and I dropped one pants size from a 12 to a 10. Total weight loss since last fall is 13 pounds. On Sunday, I was cleaning out my closets and drawers. As I was going through my clothing, I decided to try on some pants & slacks that I have not worn in awhile to see what, if anything, I could get rid of. I was so amazed that there were 6 pairs that were not only so big that I could take them off without undoing the zipper or the snap, but some were so baggy!!! I knew I was losing weight but I never realized just how much until I tried on those pants. I made the mistake of not measuring myself when I began this journey. When I look at myself in the mirror, it doesn't look as if I am any different, as I still see the same person. But, after trying on those pants, some of which used to be very snug, tears of joy began to well up from within. I am so happy that as of the New Year I made a promise to myself to love and respect myself by getting healthier and feeling better, one day at a time. And, I am so grateful to SP for helping me to keep my promise to myself.
