Whenever I get a spike in my sugar readings, it usually forecasts a cold or cough coming on, escpecially this time of year. My diabetic excercise leader gave us a simple rule regarding working out. If it is above the neck go ahead and work out. (ie. head cold, sinus or sore throat) If it is below the neck, rest, drink fluids and be kind to your self. A little walking at a slow pace can help. (ie. cough that produces phlem or chest colds). So don't beat up on yourself.
As long as we go steady along this SparkPath it can only help us to understand ourselves and our disease more.
Look how far you have come and the obstacles that you have overcome. You should be very proud.

I have been doing more exercising and walking than I have in the past 30 years over the last month and I am still sore just as much as I started. I am glad to hear your not giving up and it is encouraging to me

You are doing great, try to stretch a little before you work out and after i found it woks better if I warm up a little then do the work out . Yes it is two forward and one back but it sure beats the reverse one forward and 2 back

Today's blood sugars fasting were 177. I know the lack of stress and teen stress caused the rise so I know it is temporary. The good thing is that I know I have done everything I need to do to take care of myself. No, I didn't really exercise yesterday as I was nursing along soreness!!! Today, I will be in my little flower bed and cleaning up the yard a bit. Hope you guys have a great day.

The Lord doesn't expect us to work harder than we are able. He doesn't (nor should we) compare our efforts to those of others. Our Heavenly Father asks only that we do the best we can - that we work according to to our full capacity, however great or however small that may be.
