Leslie has "You Can Do Abs" - uses a stability ball & there's some time spent on your knees, and "You Can Do Pilates."

Thanks for the response. I tend to not try to customize but I am realizing that I have to be inventive. I' tried the plank from the floor but could not do it so I will concentrate on using the wall.
I love the Leslie Sansone walk tapes. I use them for walking. Does she have other dvds to use? Have direct tv so I don't have on demand.
I am excited with this challenge for I am finally starting to do strength exercises regularly.

You can modify anything you need to meet the recommendations you have been provided. If you want to do those same exercise you can do wall push ups from a standing position that doesn't require you to be on the floor. You can move into a plank move from a position that has you flat on the floor if that is possible. From your stomach, push up with the pressure on your feet into the plank position. You can do a similiar move from a standing position against a wall as well. Move your feet far back from the wall and press into the wall in a straightened position, engage the core and hold.

Hope that helps --

If you're looking for core exercises that don't require getting on the floor, google "standing core exercises." I have knee problems and arthritis in my lower spine, so I can't do any type of floor exercises.

I understand your situation but there are a lot of exercises that don't require getting on the floor or anything like that. Right here on SP there are some that can be done in a chair and also there is Leslie Sansone DVD's that are great for moving but not overly taxing. I use her walking ones and she's just great. I don't know if you have cable on TV but on demand, they carry her 20 min workouts. Perhaps at the library too, you could borrow them and try them out. Good luck with your surgery.

I have had my left knee replaced and will be having the right one done in September. I was instructed not to kneel on the knee cap but only on the bone below the knee. I am at a loss of the exercises I can do when the plan is for planks and push-ups etc.. Any suggestions?
