Ms. Laura, it was good to see that your boss is letting you work out of home. I'm sorry its because of health reasons though. I had a soda/ vending company I owned a few years back and loved working at home on the computer. I hope that if your where the weather has actually started cooling down that that doesn't aggravate your knees even worse. Thinking good thoughts and sending them your way.....

I'm back to tracking tomorrow. Went into the office today and tied up some loose ends. Boss lady is letting me work from home most days going forward until I can get my knee taken care of, so now I can spend some time tracking instead of commuting.

Fran, you can turn off the adding of calories because you exercise well somewhere in the edit something features. I just make sure I don't exercise too much emoticon

Not always easy, especially when they "add calories" when I exercise more....but I still try to stay within my NORMAL ranges, and this I do manage. Yeah, me! emoticon

I track my food / calories daily. In the morning when I am tracking my breakfast, I will try to plan out what I will eat for lunch and dinner and then see where I am calorie wise. If I have extra calories, I think break them into morning and afternoon snacks. That way, I wind up eating several times a day rather than eating a lot at one time.

If I am going out to eat, I check the restaurant's website for nutrition and calorie count so I know exactly what to order. If they do not have posted on their website, I can almost always find it in the food search on spark.

Fran, I do a similar thing, but I do it a week at a time. On Fridays, after work, I sit with my feet up and plan the week's meals, then I use SparkPeople's shopping list feature to plan Saturday's shopping trip.

I don't always stick to my plan, but having the plan really does help me keep on track.

So true that the nutrition tracker is extremely helpful. I use it everyday and noticed this past week I was going over my limits most days therefore this week I will work really hard in staying within range. So far so good for today emoticon

I use my trackers. My Meals I track, if possible, the NIGHT BEFORE, so I have a "tentative PLAN" on what I would or should eat. It helps me stay more focused, but each person finds whatever works for them.

My exercises, I log after I have completed them.

Re-adjusted my calorie and fitness goals and tracked all my food so far today. We are going out to celebrate my oldest son's wedding anniversary tonight. Not sure where we're going yet. But I know I need to get on the websites of the 2 "finalists" and make a choice NOW - rather than a choice at the restaurant when I'll be more likely to decide on something not so healthy!

I don't do calorie restriction, so if it's okay, I'm tweaking this one for me. I get this one if I track every bite and make my minimum 5 fruits/veggies goal.

This is a thread encouraging the use of the SP Nutrition Tracker. Time and again, those members who have been most successful at losing weight, were consistent in their use of the SP trackers.

First, make sure your goals are updated and your calorie range is set to your specifications. This will be the range you will be shooting for every day. Track you food intake and post a thumbs up if you are within goal range or below it and a thumbs down if you are over high-end goal. The object is to have more thumbs up then thumbs down.
