Everyone - I started a post with the goals for the week and like always we're starting the week out with meet and greets and supporting one another. However the post is not on the main page because it doesn't have enough responses to it. So if you all could go under the challenges forum and pull up other posts and make a couple of comments so it will post over to the main page.

My goal is to lose 5 pounds again for this challenge. It is coming off a bit slower now and if I can lose 1 to 1.5 pounds a week i will be very happy with that. Good Luck to you all.

I think the last time we did this we started with our goals. so thought I would make a goal for this challenge. Last time I lost about 10 pounds. So this time I think I would like to maybe lose about 12 pounds. That's about two pounds per week.

I feel like this could be harder for me. Moving into the colder weather, my natural reaction is to load up on food - sort of like I'm preparing for hibernation.

Got the email about the weigh-in, but I'm not sure where to post it.
Here's my weigh-in for this week - 159 lbs. Don't know why it popped up there this morning, but it did. Was down at 157.5 yesterday. Oh well - it'll be a good jump start.

Woo hoo! We're getting close - has everyone contacted Ashley and signed up?

Anyone have any ideas on what you would like to see for the weekly/daily challenges? I'm going to give Ashley a hand as she has a ton going on in her life. So input from y'all would help!

Nebraska Biggest Loser Challenge 4(AKA NBLC4)

Challenge Rules and Important Information

****Please read these rules and challenge information completely before agreeing to participate in this challenge. The rules are set in stone and will be enforced****

Sign up dates: Tuesday Sept. 28th- Friday October 8th

Team notification: Saturday October 9th

First weigh in: Sunday October 10th

Challenge to run from: October 10th through November 21st(6 weeks)

Important information:
1. You must sign up for this challenge by October 8th at 1:00 PM CST. No late participants will be accepted.
2. On October 9th I will go through and divide people into groups. Depending on the amount of people who sign up, the groups will consist of approximately 3-4 people.
3. Your first weigh in will be due on Sunday October 10th by 11:59 PM CST. This will be sent to me via sparkmail.
4. Group results will be posted weekly for everyone to see.
5. There will be a forum titled NBLC3 GROUP CHAT. This can be found under the SPARKNEBRASKA-The Official Site challenge thread. If you are unable to find this I need to be made aware and I will direct you in the right direction. This is where you will find results, important information sent out by me, and the weekly mini challenges. So it really is important that you know how to access this.
6. You do not have to watch the show or know anything about the show to participate.
7. This will all be done on your own. You will have to perform your own workouts and create your own meal plans.
8. Because this is online based, honesty is going to be the key here. No one is going to be there to watch your weigh ins.

Rules:
1. Weigh ins are due every Sunday via sparkmail to NBR1MOMNDAD. I ask that you try to weigh in on the same scale around the same time every Sunday. This helps to keep things consistent. Weigh ins are to be sent to me by 1159 PM CST. After this time your weigh in WILL NOT be accepted. Everyone will be given 1 strike. If for some reason you miss a weigh in you will have until Monday at 8:00 PM CST to turn in your weight for it to be counted. But, THIS CAN ONLY HAPPEN ONCE. After your first strike, if it happens again you will automatically be dropped from the challenge. This is to help me have results posted for everyone to see in a timely manner. Also, if you are going to be out of town on a weigh in day you need to let me know before the actual weigh in day. Then I can mark you down as absent and you wont be dropped. You will just weigh in the next time around as normal.
2. On weigh in day you are to email me your actual weight in pounds and the amount of days that you have completed the challenge. Please do not send me the amount of lbs gained or lost. This makes it difficult for me to make sure I have your numbers right. I will not go through the forum and hunt for your weigh in or the amount of days you have completed the challenge. If you do not put that information in your email you will not get credit. With your information, I will calculate your body percentage lost as a group. This is the formula that will be used:
Current weight minus challenge points=New weight then I take,
New weight minus starting weight divided by starting weight X 100= % of body weight lost
3. Each week we will have a mini challenge. The challenges will run Sunday-Saturday. So a new challenge will begin each day you weigh in. I will post the challenge on Friday or Saturday so you are able to see what its going to be before the Sunday it actually starts. You are responsible for keeping track of how many days you completed the challenge. If you dont report it to me through email with your weigh in, I cant count it towards your percentage. Again, remember I will not hunt through the forum for this information. You can chat about it with your friends there but it has to also be included in the email. Here are the points you will receive for each day the challenge is completed:
Completed 1 day of activity = 0.1 lb points
Completed 2 days of activity = 0.3 lb points
Completed 3 days of activity = 0.4 lb points
Completed 4 days of activity = 0.6 lb points
Completed 5 days of activity = 0.7 lb points
Completed 6 days of activity = 0.9 lb points
Completed 7 days of activity = 1.0 lbs points
Ex: you lost 2.3 lbs for week 1. You also completed 4 days of the mini challenge. Therefore your weight lost that week would be 2.9 lbs.
**Please know that if you do not do the challenges it will not harm you in anyway. Doing the challenges is a bonus for those who complete them. It is meant to be an extra form of motivation for those trying to lose weight.

Process for losing participants:
Many people will sign up for this challenge and then not weigh in on the first weigh in day. So here is how it will work-
Everyone who signs up by October 8th will be put into a group. I will post those groups to the forum on October 9th. On Ocotber 10th you will be expected to weigh in. Anyone who has not weighed in will be dropped from the challenge. At this time, depending on how many people do not log in and participate, I will go in and re-divide the teams if necessary. So please watch the forum to see if your group changes a little bit. The second weigh in will be October 17th. At this time, if someone from your group does not weigh in they will be dropped from the challenge but there weight will remain with your group. So if they weighed in at 154 for the first weigh in then there weight will remain at 154 for the entire challenge. This can happen at any time during the challenge. Anytime a person is dropped the weight will remain the same for the remainder of the challenge.

I know these rules sound strict but I must enforce them in order for this to work. Please, know that this is a very fun challenge. Though the rules may be strict we have a great time motivating each other to do what it is we need to do..lose those pounds. Now whos in??????
