Re crime segments, I'm not sure how this relates to a health program unless they think it's part of mental health - which would be a stretch I know.

So, is there where we should discuss Dr. Oz shows, or should we discuss things we see on his shows in the coffee chat thread? I wasn't sure. :)

I'm glad reruns are over and we can get some new shows again. I usually learn something new in his shows. I don't like one of his new show ideas, though, and that is the "crime" shows he seems to be doing on Tuesdays and now on Thursdays too. I watch his shows for health information, and don't want to hear about gruesome crimes while I'm making dinner. I feel there are enough crime shows on TV, and I usually turn the channel when he talks about crime because I find it too upsetting.

Anyway, just checking in, and wondering if anyone else wants to discuss what we learn on his shows during the week.

I DVR the shows and sometimes watch them out of order. I just watched the episode on heroin and child sex trafficking. Both were very upsetting to me.

l enjoyed the program today.He talked about different ways people store fat on their bodies and what foods are best for your body type.today is Nov. 4th 2016.

I haven't learned too much about health this season. I have gotten some good recipes, but feel like Dr. Oz is trying to be another Oprah, getting a lot of stars on the show.

I was watching some of the Dr. Oz shows from the DVR and I came across one that talked about the amount of food that we waste. This started me thinking. I waste a ton of food. I am just wasting money by this. I have since decided to change how we do some things in the house. I need to take this seriously as we are living on one paycheck and money is really tight. I am two weeks in to the new change and it is going great. I have plans to write a blog on it.

Yes, KNYAGENYA I have noticed that! They put a "new" segment on in the beginning and then the rest of the show is repeats. Don't understand why they are doing that!

I haven't noticed it with Dr. Oz, but have noticed with other shows that during the summer they make "new" shows by making compilations of the best of the former season and calling them something like "Summer's Best Ever"
