The challenge will run from FRIDAY, AUGUST 2 through THURSDAY, AUGUST 29 (with the last week's totals due on FRIDAY, AUGUST 30).

Please sign up by WEDNESDAY, JULY 31; however, you can join later and will be placed on a team (typically the one with the least number of members).

NOTE: Sometimes things come up that prevent you from participating so, if after signing up or during the challenge you decide not to continue, send me (CATLOVER110) a Spark-Mail so that I can remove you from the list of challenge participants and also, as a courtesy to your team, please let them know as well.

The teams’ chat threads and challenge templates will be posted prior to the start of the challenge.

The monthly theme to the BSGs are to help guide those new to this journey or remind those that have been on it for some time. This will help us learn more about healthy lifestyle change as well as prompt discussion.

Snacking is a smart way to keep hunger at bay throughout the day, but the key is snacking on the right things, at the right times, and in the right places. Are your snacking habits healthy--or horrific? Find out how your snacks stack up with this short quiz.

If you are not a snacker that is okay, you still get full points but IF you are a snacker keep in mind that the calories in your snacks count too. Some consider a snack as mini-meals. A SNACK IS 200 CALORIES OR LESS; more than that and it is a meal. When you snack you have to consider your total daily calorie limit and then distribute the calories to include your snacks.

No snacking all day or one healthy snack a day UNDER 200 CALORIES = 10 points (maximum 10 points/day) all or nothing!

PART 1 - Chat Room and Goal Setting: 750 points possible
PART 2 - Fitness: 1 point per minute (MAXIMUM OF 200 POINTS PER DAY)
PART 3 - Health/Nutrition: 1 POINT per OUNCE of water you drink each day.
PART 4 - Blog: 200 points
PART 5 – Interact with BSG team participants: 10 points each (MAXIMUM OF 25 POINTS PER DAY)
BONUS A: Congratulate the winners from the previous week
BONUS B: 10 POINTS for each day you practice smart snacking or not snacking all day
BONUS C: Each week you get 10 points for each BSG team members blog you respond to
BONUS D: Have your points totaled on time: 100 points
