Okay so this is gonna sound ultra weird. But, I listen to Garrison Keillor when I do intervals of water jogging/walking. He is the storyteller that tells stories about Lake Woebegone. He really keeps my mind off what I'm doing. I also like books on tape while I'm working out. Wouldn't work for everyone but, what can I say...

I've been listening to dance/pop music.. the fast beat songs. I usually wouldn't listen to these songs on a normal day but when I work out, the beat is fast enough to keep me going. Songs like Breakin' Dishes from Rhianna keep me pumping!

** Change is like walking an uphill, rocky road: you will stumble, you will fall. You may even roll downhill a bit. You will be tempted to stay down. You'll ask yourself "why bother"? But, if you pick yourself up and just keep pushing forward, eventually you'll get to the top and have a beautiful view! **

I have everything from gospel to hard rock on my workout playlist. The two that I get called out on though are Single Ladies and Witch Doctor. How can you not get a smile on your face and a spurt of energy when you hear these:) Did I mention the artist is Alvin and the Chipmunks?

I was curious what songs tend to get you motivated when you are working out? I loaded my iphone with some songs I thought would be good, but they aren't really keeping me moving.

Some songs, which I thought were funny or lame, are working out great! For example:

"I'm Too Sexy"- Right Said Fred
"Talk Dirty to Me"- Poison
"Freedom"- George Michael

Are there any other songs that help pull you out of exhaustion and make you walk a little bit faster, take a few more strides, decide to stay on the elliptical a minute or two longer just to finish the song?
