Curves closed in December, because the YMCA built a facility and they lost a lot of members, due to competition.
I wasn't originally planning to join the Y, but, I decided to, at least for awhile, to see how I like it. I've been going, once or twice a week, to a Silver Sneakers class. It's offered just twice a week. And, although there are more Silver Sneakers classes that they could add ((Silver Sneakers Circuit, Silver Sneakers Yoga and Silver Sneakers Aqua), so far they only offer one (Silver Sneakers Classic). I have to sit down for all or part of it, due to lack of stamina, but I'm standing for more of it than I was originally.
I've also started to wear my pedometer again, and noticed that I was walking much less than when I used to wear it. I think the awareness that it gives me makes a big difference in how much I walk. At this point, I'm trying to walk 3000 steps or more three days per week.
